Hello from Japan🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵 Too often sad news arrives from abroad these days, so I just wanted to see a peaceful and beautiful scene of spring scenery of a herd of deer resting under cherry blossoms in Nara Park, a famous tourist spot in our country, and RU-vid introduced this video to me as a related video. I have never been to Germany, a country that lies beyond Japan by several oceans and skies, but I am glad that I could see the view of the Alps in this way outside of TV. The green color of the trees, the blue sky, and the red color of the roofs of the houses are so beautiful. While watching this video, I felt like I was taking a walk in Germany, a country I should have never been to. I thought,It would be very fun to ride bicycles through these places with family and friends. I have traveled to France, Italy and Czech Republic when I was a student and I would like to visit Germany if I have the chance. Thanks for showing me the great video.

In fact, in Japan, English and other languages are rarely used in daily conversation or at work, and all conversations, work, and shopping are done in Japanese only, so there are many Japanese people like me. When they watch RU-vid like I do now, they either use a translation tool to read the meaning or make a short comment, somehow enjoying the atmosphere of foreign videos while imagining or guessing "maybe this is what they are talking about". So I am sure I misread the description you wrote. I have heard that European countries have complicated relations and many different manners due to their long history. I am sorry if I have surprised you in any way by my comment. But if you find Japan as interesting as you like the beautiful scenery of Germany, please visit Japan someday. There is a comic book published and translated into English called "Isabella Bird in Wonderland" about an old English traveler who traveled around Japan when the country was just opened to the outside world. However,I believe that the scenery and lifestyle of modern Japan are also fresh and interesting to people from Europe. Thanks so much for your reply.

Most places I have been in Europe every is very welcoming and friendly it's just a few countries and places that have issues. American guy here. I had the privilege of spending the day in Oberammergau about 9 years ago. It was truly a lovely place and I wish desperately to return some day.
It looks like the person ahead was slowing as they were soon to approach the finish anyway. The "langsam" (slow) sign was right there. So that wasn't bad - 99.9% of your ride was super (ow) fast! It might be nice to have two tracks there: a slower one for sightseers to enjoy the Oberammergau scenery, and then one with no brakes for thrillseekers to enjoy the adrenaline rush all the way downhill! 😅
That looked like a lot of fun. And the scenery was just gorgeous. I don't think it ever accord to me that you could use the natural landscape to make such a cool coaster.

Garmisch and Oberammergau and the area surrounding them are some of the most beautiful places I have ever been. I wish I had known about the Alpine Coaster. Nice ride.
Those are actually pretty lame. Brakeless top speed is low and the track design is really poor, and to top it off 90% of the time you'll be stuck crawling at snail's pace behind other people, which is not fun at all. With respect to that, only proper rollercoasters can really be fun, but they're all short simply because high speed = short ride.
@@michaelbuckers Yeah if they removed the super low speed limiters and fixed the absolutely horrid track profiling (and removed the brakes, if you don't like going fast why are you on a roller coaster), it could be a pretty great terrain coaster. Another issue with the brakes is since people can be wimps and slow down to a crawl, the entire track has to be exclusively downhill to prevent cars from getting stuck. Which also greatly limits the types of elements which can be designed.

Now THAT is a mountain coaster. We just got back from Gatlinburg where we rode a couple of them. They don't have anything there comparable to this....probably a result of limited space compared to where you were. That thing you rode was next-level...and then some! :)

I'm with you, Shirley! I have never ridden a roller coaster, but if were possible to go slow - or as slow as we wanted, I'd ride it. I just don't like speed, coupled with curves and peaks and dips.

Hello from California! What a fun and wild ride! I would love to do that very much. We have a few out here around the U.S. The closet rail ride is in William, Arizona. We were in that town in mid-January so it was closed for the winter since they get a lot snow. I would love to travel abroad more and hopefully see this beautiful country and see everything I can and go on this rail ride. That would be amazing and so much fun! 😁

I did one in June. The "Ow Aspect" is very real if you don't use brakes, meaning that there is not much of a suspension, and the cart is following the track no matter what.
Amazing video! Thank you for taking us places. Were the jolts painful? Sounded like OberammergOW! I have spinal disc disease, so my coaster days are behind me which makes me appreciate posts like this very much. I was in Oberammergau with my mother and brother at age 15 back in the 70s.
That scenery though, I'd definitely take my time seeing something like that! But man, that looks like so much fun! Definitely should invest in a passport someday.

that looks like a great ride. The only problem with those rides that have breaks is you always seem to get stuck behind someone who shouldn't be riding on a roller coaster who rides the breaks half the way and ruins it for everyone behind them.
Well, luckily people will still get on these kinds of mountain rail rides because it’s really fun and adventure, even if the person realizes it’s too fast for them, they still keep going but slower around tighter the corners. Some people go too fast to catch up too close to the other person, so it works both ways.

Its a fun mountain coaster. Oberammergau is a very beautiful and tranquil place to visit. Down the road is the Ettal Monastery which makes awesome beer and go a bit further and you can go to Garmisch, another awesome town to visit. Cant wait to go back there some day.
Bremsen? Wir braucben keine blöde Bremsen! That, I guess, is not the longest and doesn't appear to be the fastest Sommerrödelbahn, but it looks to be a very good one. A bit sad when the rider in front of you is going down at a walking pace. What a gorgeous day in the Algaue.
