In the documenatry of The Runaways, they said they all acted like their heros an stage. Joan pretended she was Suzi Quatro, Cherie was David Bowie(duh), Lita was Jimmy Hendrix and Richie Blackmore, Jackie thought she was Gene Simons minus the tounge and Sandy pretended she was a member of Queen. I think wen i become lead guitarist for a band, ima act like Lita, shes so FUCKING badass!
~The look that Cherie gave Joan was like "wtf.?" Lol. But, I think it's like 100% sweet that, Joan sang the 1st part of the chorus, so that, Cherie wouldnt get as tired because of the high pitch notes, she hadd to sing. Joan is such an awesome friend :)

Probably my favorite Runaway's tune, and the Queens of Noise album still rocks as it did in '77-'78. One of the best lines from this song..."Battered boys and shattered girls"..
they never cease to amaze me !! i'm a runaways fan since 1977. and as much as i loved them then, watching them now, just intensifies all the memories i had of them ! i can see a lot of rocks great bands influence, in all of there songs, and stage actions. led zepellin, judas priest, deep purple, and many others. the runaways will always ROCK !! thanks, cherieO.
There will never be another Runaways. I was so glad to be around during these times, and be able to experience them. I have every record they ever made. What a trip this vid is. Thanks for sharing.
I like how this song starts and ends :) after listening and watching this song miley, justen, jonas brothers and all those teen singers of today eat your hearts out I can't believe that this voice is from a 16 or 17 years old both cherie and joan were and still amazing maybe they didn't get famous like the mentioned up there but they for sure left something that they will be proud of for ever

Heavier and a more serious sounding song. Wow, this is good song. Joan sounded good. Sounded comfy in her throat chakra!! And mixed well with curries voice. Saving this one..
This song kicks @ss! Cherie's voice sounds so mature for a 15 years old. Even though I love Joan and her bad sexiness, Cherie was the best singer in the band by far.
Actually, her vocal range is everywhere. During the runaways, she was struggling with all the songs anyway. Watch the way she shakes her head when she goes too low, or too high. She doent really have a range (: And i love her! Well, i love the runaways too :) Duhh
WineSippingCowboy She’s an awesome guitar player but she could never hit those notes. In part I feel Lita and Jackie really wanted to screw Cherie, forcing her to go almost beyond her vocal range just to mess with her, because Lita and Cherie couldn’t stand each other.
@yourimaginaryenemy Kristen Stewart does resemble Cherie Currie more physically then she does Joan but she also acts more like Cherie then Joan I think. Joan back in the early days was shy and quiet, Cherie on the other hand was acting out as the wild child.
This song also represents what ended the Runaways...Lita wanted the band to be more metal, heavy with guitar solos. While Joan liked more the punk approach to music. This song is exactly that

@ahadnagy167 I think it was just Cherie doing her bad girl look and turn from the audience thing. And of course she looks at Joan, because she and Joan were really close.
@twigagawizard Queens of Noise was only one of the songs Joan sang leads on when it should have been Cherie on leads. There were several others that were sung in studio by Joan instead of Cherie.
@amazingbella23 yeah i saw the doc edgeplay and cherie said she was supposed to sing queens of noise on the album but she was late so joan did it and that deeply upset her
@twigagawizard Well in the studio version Joan sings the chorus so Cherie was probably just being stingy about the song..I love Cherie but she was stingy sometimes with the vocals. Its understandable because she was the lead vocals but you gotta learn to share at some point in life. lol
