Out of the entire franchise, Katya IS absolutely undefeated when it comes to her descriptions of her own runways. I'm glad to hear that she had fun doing them b/c they do truly stand out as the most interesting and entertaining ones of any season.
One of my favorite Drag Race moments ever is in AS2 when Katya is learning her choreography for Read U Wrote U and the other girls were absolutely panicking.
She likes to downplay herself a lot when we hear her talk about Drag Race lol it's always been that way. The audience and judges will love it and she'll still be like "Eh"
Can’t believe they didn’t mention Katya’s brown tracksuit runway, she was serving pure MODEL. In fact, aside from the Glamazonian Airways mishap, Katya was an objectively good competitor on both her seasons and had way more highs than lows. She really undersells herself.
I legitimately want to fistfight Katya for being incapable of recognizing that she's good at things. Both her Snatch Games were good, but the Björk one was fucking hysterical.
Omg I know! She literally co-won her snatch game as Björk. Also, just because she lost a lot of lip syncs doesn’t mean she’s bad at all! Twist of Fate/Roar/Cherry Bomb are all iconic imo. Her runs on S7 and AS2 were so good and sometimes that self deprecating humor goes too far lol.

People can say whatever about season 7 but it gave us some of the most lovable, unique and iconic queens. And even when Trixie and Katya "failed" they provided some of the most iconic and memorable moments of Drag Race and All Stars.

Katya is truly one of the most beautiful drag queens, I don't know why she hates her face in drag so much. She always looks incredible. Also, the anxiety of waiting for the pod to end is unbearable. You two can talk about shit on a stick and I would still listen.

You know, Katya's Bjork is one of my top Snatch games, especially since she and Alaska played off each other so well, I think AS2 and season 3 had amazing runways, but it's also really hard to compare the runways because the standards and fads change so much. Love you both, and I love hearing you talk about the things that the audience doesn't see (like the lipsync audience).
The way Katya struts on stage during Read U Wrote U electrifies my lady-bits every. Single. Time. Also, Trixie laughing at Katya while she says she just loves to model gave me flashbacks to that early Unhhhh episode where Trixie mockingly says to the camera, “she’s a body queen! she’s a body queen.”

tbh the 2nd round of lipsyncs wasnt were they were dressed like that the popcorn bag look of eurekas/aquarias etc was round 1 it was the first round and kameron didnt have an obvious reveal/one like the others it was just a normal outfit she had on so i think they probably meant eureka aquaria and asia
Sasha’s lipsync against her friend, and a bald queen using her wig to punctuate such a gorgeous performance??? It’s my favorite. I think it was so gorgeous and poignant. Not everything has to be an acrobatic stunt to be artful

I think it was the roles played by kylie sonique and brooke Lynn hytes. Kylie did a 2 min scene as dolly parton and brooke was literally playing a Russian hooker 🙄
i fell in love w katya the moment she entered the werk room on s7. her story abt her struggles w sobriety really really helped my own recovery and when i say i look up to her, i truly mean it. idc if she thinks she wasn't great on drag race, she has inspired me to get better and the amount of love and joy she gives off is so much more important than how you look. ik the chance of her ever seeing this is a fat 0 but katya thank you for everything u do !!!!!!!
Both of your Jane Doe Latex looks (🍎🏊🏻♀️)on your respective All Stars seasons are definitely near the top of my list for favorite runway looks. They fit you both and your personalities so well.
Really loved this drag race retrospective! It’s a testament to Trixie & Katya’s success that I don’t even really think of them as drag race queens anymore even though that’s where they got their start. In my mind they are comedian drag queens first and all of my favorite moments/catch phrases/looks came from all their other independent projects like UNHhhh, Netflix, their book and this podcast.
I believe there's a reason they used mostly commentary from Katya in season 7.... She's always been truly iconic. If you pay attention they use her to explain almost every situation. And I still can't believe they got rid of Trixie so soon.... 😔

On drag race I love the crafty challenges and the runways. I think Katya deserves more credit for her bearded and death becomes her runways on 7 they were so cute and funny but still woman. And Trixie’s flower power runway was beyond reproach. I also love Shea and Sasha being season wives on 9 and my all time favorite runway was that club kid one from 9 too.
The way my Mexican mom has planted the seed since a child that she will die and I need to learn to adult… it’s pushed me in a way you cannot understand 😂
