In this series I introduce the civs in AOEIV, and reveal their "real" identity in-game. Hopefully you'll find this as fun to watch as I had making them! Follow for more!
I JUST, fully mastered this civ last night, they are not an easy civ to get used to at all, but, once you learn how to have a stable economy with them, they are a nightmare

Chilly didn't end this one with "you'll have to play yourself", because Knight-Steletz-High Armory Rams is perfection, and that's all you need to know. But you forgot about the Rus WAHRIAH Monk, so -50 social credits nerd
I even crazy... I made even more scouts if map is open so they could hunt deers and take whole herd to mine villigers, they also try kill boars before mine villigers and as for hunting huts. Lets just say I dont know how much I got... THEY ARE EVERYWHERE
As a rus enjoyer i think abbasid counters rus (late game). Long spears counter their knights, their fast shooting archers counter the strelsi, and camels debuff the knights and clean up.
My favourite civ by far. I love just ignoring stone and barracks for hours on end. They've always felt like the most natural civ to me, claiming the entire map with beefed up towers. Streltsy backed by springwalds (to take down those pesky mangonels) and of course hogging all the relics as early as I can so those Deli and HRE's don't get it. Something that I found to work quite well for oponents with less experience is using conversion. Your monk can get pushed forwards by other cavalry whilst technically being unable to move. People don't expect it and it's funny to steal 50 arebaltiers out of nowhere. This works only once though, you've often only got one priest with relic and once the enemy catches wind of this tactic he will just snipe him.
@@ChillyEmpire NOOO!!!, I haven't played in some time and you're right. Thanks for pointing that out. Kinda sad, correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like they got nerfed pretty bad. The Kremlin nerf isn't as bad since Golden gate is also great, but they got nerfed way more than they needed to. Anyone know another civ that isn't french but also fun?
@@Killerwale-hk4wy I main the Rus. Imo they're still pretty OP right now. Haven't played much of the expansion though, so maybe they're not as OP compared to the new civs.
Oof. I never played BFME2. I played the first one when I was younger though and had a lot of issues with the design. I got ass-mad they made a second one without improving the first one.
Listing the army comp the saying “let me be clear nothing beats this army” just in case you didn’t know he was saying Rus has and always will be OP. Meaning your army comp is trash🤭
vikings are not the name of a nation, but a profession. The russians were not vikings. If the author meant the scandinavians, there were less than 1% of them at the very beginning of the history of Rus. There are more than 1% arabs in HRE, is HRE an arab-german nation? There are a lot of versions of the origin of the word "Rus", many slavic versions. You only learn the norman version.
@@АнтонГородецкийНочнойДозор If im not mistaken, I think the Swedish are responsible for the attribution of Vikings to the Rus. Reminds me of 13th Warrior, one of my favorite films of all time.
