I wonder, how come the Russians were a lot more effective at defeating the Ottomans than the Habsurgs were? What advantage did the Russian armies have over the Ottomans in allowing it to defeat the Ottoman Empire more easily and frequently, gaining lots of lands in the process, while the Habsburgs struggled to fight the Ottomans.

Very nice video, but I want to report to you about one little mistake - in period from 1682 to 1689 Peter the Great wasn’t the real tsar. In this period tsarevna (queen) Sofia was the actual ruler of Russia, because Peter was a child and couldn’t be a tsar. You’ve done quite a work here though, I really appreciate it!)

They wanted to sail to the bay, but unsuccessfully, they fired at the city itself (I don't remember the name) - unsuccessfully. Then they wanted to go to the Baltic Sea Britain and France helped Turkey: they declared war on Russia. Russia managed to defeat the Ottoman Empire several times even in its strongest time, this was a great success, the biggest reason for this was that the Ottoman commanders were bad.

This shows a curious thing: Together with the break of Ottoman power at Vienna, Poland-Lithuania might have regained the lost Podolia, but also irrevocably shifted the balance of power in the region to it's unfavour and ultimately doom. Strong Turkey always held in check both Habsburgs and Russians from fully engaging against the Commonwealth- and vice versa In 1650s Sultan actually intervened in Polish-Swedish war on Polish side fearing that PLC collapsing would strengthen Russia too much for him to handle, and in 1700s wars one of provisions of Turkish-Russian treaties, sadly unkept, was for Russians to stop meddling into PLC's affairs.
