Excited to hear you say that you’ll be playing through with every team eventually. Sounds like a lot of great content to me.

Camila will be a huge help and Rusting Hulks are already the perfect beginner squad with the new equivalent being the Mist Eaters, but every squad introduces a new idea, that's why achievements are integrated so well into the game. Also the later squads are slightly cheaper after the advanced edition update, always interesting to see a new perspective on them!

Camilla is my favorite pilot. Her ability to ignore webbing is so useful. Sadly I messed up and got her killed :(

I was looking back at this video, it's DAMN lucky that leading up to the last turn on Mission 3 you not only managed to get Camila from a POD (it is rare enough as it is for even getting ANY pilot, let alone CAMILA lol), but you also just coincidentally put her in the Jet Mech, since otherwise NO other pilot would've been able to use that mech to get the kill on the vek on "B3" as both "B2" AND "B4" were covered in smoke(!) On top of ALL of this, this was the ONLY kill you could've made to pass the mission objective since it was the LAST unit on the map, which you COULDN'T have nabbed without Camila to begin with! lmao ALL HAIL THE ODD!! =OOOOOOOOOO lmao (Oh, one more thing, if you want my advice, go for any of the missions with TWO extra stars. You should ALWAYS prioritize STARS, particularly in multiples of 3, as they allow you get that many corresponding mech reactors, which after survival is literally the most important thing in the game, BAR NONE. If you get a perfect island, it will also give you the option of not ONLY getting an even 2 mech reactors from the 6+ reputation you get, but if you manage to get all the remaining stars and max out at 7, you will be able to get another pilot (usually the best reward) which will ALSO allow you to trade a 4th (now spare) pilot to get JUST enough stars to buy an extra weapon from the store (assuming there's a good one, and assuming there's not a MASSIVELY good weapon/item as the island reward TL:DR -- GO for a 2xStar mission AT LEAST as the 4th Mission, if you do mildly OK and get 6 total Stars, you'll get enough Stars for 2 mech reactors instead of 1, which is CRUCIAL. If you do REALLY well and get ALL 7 Stars, you will EVEN have enough Stars for an EXTRA Weapon, which (may very well) be SUPER useful)

Ralph is the worst pilot as his special skill “turns off” after reaching max lvl. You don’t need level upgrades that much.

Egg sacks don't count as Vek, so they won't get any bonuses or buff for vek whatsoever.
