I only recently discovered your channel, but now whenever I’m bored, I surf through your SMM levels to see what I haven’t watched yet. You always seem to have entertaining content and I’m super glad I gave that first suggested video a click. Keep up the awesome videos!
That puzzle course was the first Ryukhar episode I've ever watched, then I was hooked. It feels so good to see him complete it finally! Congratulations on the closure.
By far my favorite RU-vidr. Thanks for all the amazing videos, Ryukahr, and more to come. I've watched this video more times than Terrible Life Decision by Emilia was played, well, that's exaggerated, but you get the point. One of my favorite videos by you, take care everyone and stay safe in a time like this.
This is so cool, I just finished bingeing all super experts up to 30, (when I joined your channel) so I literally recognize every single level here. :)
FYI, if you look back at the two spots, you'll see that the reason the fireball reached the bob-omb (in the puzzle level) prematurely those two times was that the cannon happened to shoot to the right *while it was falling* after you bumped it down from above. It was that extra height that made it reach the bomb. So if it made it to the ground without shooting yet, you didn't need to worry about it reaching the bomb at that point (until you would be ready and move the blaster).
Hey, you inspired me to get into this game. Very professional set up. Hopefully my skill level at this game can one day be even half as good as yours. Happy new year, keep up the great content!
Ryu is the Renaissance man of Mario Maker. The perfect combo of commentary, consistency in clearing super expert levels, the perfect level of fallibility in the video to make it humorous. Keep it up dude.
I've seen a few of those Red/Blue levels. They're basically mini precision/challenge levels based (very loosely) on Pokémon. Might be good to look at. Also, I really liked the piano Hopes and Dreams at the end.
On the first level, you could have dropped one or maybe two twirls after your midair and still made it onto the platform. That's how they did it faster. They sped up the run with slightly differently timed midairs to give different heights and made different numbers of twirls necessary.
Um, that's not the case at all. Twirling doesn't effect your horizontal speed in the slightest. That's not how they did it faster. Ryukhar made the level harder on himself by not jumping into the sideways spring at the start. That's it.
There's something about videos like this (redemption/revenge...oops, I mean: Ryuemption/Ryuvenge) that I _really_ enjoy! These & uncleared levels are my favorites currently.
I was hoping you'd revisit Horrible Life Decision, but I definitely don't blame you. xD Masochist level for sure! Happy New Years to you too bud. Love the videos!
Thank you ryu for making so much content you take my mind offfof things and stress when I am feeling down I watch your videos and you make me feel in a better good mood
"That one was even worse! That one was even worse! How do you explain that?!" - me while hot lapping God, time saves and time sinks can be incredibly deceptive.
Awwwww fuck... A ryukahr video showed up in my recommended... Time to binge all of the videos I've missed and then wait for his vids to show up in my recommended again in a few months and then repeat the cycle... Good to be back :)
What an awesome year it was ryu! I loved watching your videos all the way through. Keep it up, and happy New Year. P.S: Awesome outro, I recognised the song in the first five notes :) You should upload your SoundCloud stuff to RU-vid and vice-versa imo.
Maybe it’s later in the video, but I remember a run killer that was just lakitu spiny spam that you called the worst stage in SMM. I remember because I died like 700 times to that ridiculous level before clearing it. Spinys OP. 😢
on the really tight speed run, you never jumped on the first frame to his the spring faster at the beginning. i think that is maybe how the WR saved a little over your time, beautiful redemption on that one!
Recently I was recommended to this channel. At first I thought, "oh another dude playing a game that's hard with no prior experience for "comedy"". This was not that, you are clearly very good, and enjoy a well made challenge. I dont play MarioMaker, however I can tell this community appreciates your willingness and skill to attempt their insane levels. Great stuff!!
Here's an idea! After every episode for SMM that you do from now on, at the end you should spend like 3-5 attempts on levels like the 140 sec speed run or "Terrible Life Decision", with the goal of beating them by 2020 :)
Another idea for a milestone video - Super expert no skip and you have to set the record for all 6. If you don't get it, and since you have to complete the level to see if you get it, you must do a 2nd run and pass as many levels until you get 6 records (If you get 4 out of 6 the first time, you have to do a second run with same amount of lives remaining until you get 2 more). Just seems like you actually do get the record more often than not and definitely think it's doable. You could cheese this a tad also: Complete the level yet don't flag it and restart with already knowing how to speed run it. You might waste more lives but gives you a higher chance of setting the record.
(first level 10s ... ) if you jump right at the beginning, you will get more momentum than you would without. I don't know if you still can do the triple, but that is the only way i think of, to be faster
