Hi ladies!! Congratulations on the subscriber milestone! As soon as you showed the Primitive Hare piece I knew why there is a deer featured in The Olde Winter. Anne Boleyn was beheaded in 1536 as you mentioned, and the deer is probably a reference to a poem written by Sir Thomas Wyatt who was an admirer and potential rival suitor of Henry VIII. The poem is called 'Whoso List to Hunt, I Know Where Is An Hind' and Anne is referred to as a fleeing deer/hind who may not be captured as she belongs to Caesar, a reference to King Henry. I am going to have to stitch that now!!

Hi Rebecca. Thank you for sharing time with us and your comment. When I got home I did some research and found out the history. You filled in a lot of the pieces. I wasn’t going to stitch it but now I want to be true to the history. The stag is looking so handsome but I will have to tell you to buy lots of brown. Oh my goodness. I enjoy watching your Flosstubes because even though you stitch different styles of patterns, you both enjoy seeing each others projects. A couple of Flosstubers you might want to see is Curious Crafters. They are two sisters who are teachers and have a interesting way of deciding what to stitch and how to finish them. Really fun!! Another Flosstuber is PNW Stitcher. She is a prolific stitcher, whether it is a full coverage or beautiful floral kits. Her name is Olga and she is original from Russia. Idea for free floss tags ….visit big box home store….take your floss of your new project and match the paint chips to your floss…. Then go home and place your beautiful stickers on them…punch holes …. And loop your floss through… they are sturdy enough to use and decorate as you choose ….yay!

Mrs. Flossy, had a book of cross stitch that was all in red and she did a thread or two before she went to bed. And a little robin watched her whilst she sat upon her bed. Loved your Flosstube today! Such beautiful projects! Looking forward to Quilter's Station and seeing you both! Dottie

Hello Ladies, Lennie I store my Vikki Clayton silks in a plastic container available at Hobby House that Needlework Press makes. It is the perfect size. Congratulations on your subscriber milestone stone …wow….I always enjoy spending some stitching time with you, I laugh,I oooh, I agh I add to my wish list, I say…”oh I wish I could do that “ it’s always so much fun, I’m pretty much housebound and my kind and loving husband does so much for me, I love him with all my heart, and he if he was a gingerbread man I would definitely be his gingerbread lady.
