I want to say thank you for making Kings content! 🙏🏽 Kings fans watch some media outlets trash the Kings every move. And I am extremely excited for next season! The Kings will be a juggernaut in the tough west. Thanks again for the content! GO KINGS!!! 👑👑👑
Thank YOU for the support and encouragement! You are a legend and don’t let them gaslight you! Your team IS exciting, fun and I think they’ll 50 games! Good luck next season! Thanks a again you’re a legend 🙏🏻👑
You may be an outsider looking in, but your analysis of the Kings is spot on. Quite honestly I think you did a better job than some of the national names in sports media.
Thank you so much I appreciate you a ton! The highest form of compliment I can get is what you just said. I’m so happy you enjoyed it, I do try very hard! Rooting for your team to light many beams this season 🙏🏻👑👑👑
I was just about to post this exact same comment. I’ve seen many videos on the Sacramento Kings, but seems like the only ones that are accurate and good are from people that cover the kings. This guy did a phenomenal job, on this video
Love your appreciation for keon ellis. One thing i will say that maybe outside fans don't know, is how important trey lyles is to the team. Super underrated to the rest of the league
I watched a lot of the kings down the stretch of last season and he was a real difference maker in key moments on both ends. His energy and intensity is special 🙏🏻
Thank you so much for that! I really try to give every team the shine and respect that them and thier fanbase deserve! It’s an honor to to hear that from a kings fan, very encouraging 🙏🏻 hopefully many beams next season! I’m rooting for you and your team 👑👑👑
Lyles is way more important to our rotation than anyone gives him credit for. Fox gets nowhere NEAR enough credit as an elite defender, too. One of the best defensive guards in the league and led the league in steals last year but gets 0 credit as a defensive player. If he weren't an offensive juggernaut, he'd still be a role/bench player as an elite defender on aome roster somewhere.
Thank you! Someone that’s NOT main team is the kings, and still reporting like he’s watched all the games! Half of the time a basketball channel dissects the Kings , it’s at the most basic and broad outlook . Subscribed 🤝
Thank you so much for the kind words! I try my best to represent each team fairly and accurately! It means so much from a fan of the kings to hear that! It’s an honor to have you as a sub 🙏🏻👑👑
Murray became an ELITE defender over last off-season and he broke Spider's rookie 3pt record by 19 buckets (187/206). Dude is going to be one of the best in the league in the next 2-3 years.
Good show bro, you should visit and watch the Kings. Try to hook up with Kings media here. They are good people and welcomes everyone. Deuce and MO, Matt George, Brenden Nunes, Chris Watkins, and Dlo and KC. It's crazy here when u watch the Kings. You'll have fun here and wemcome!
In 22-23 season Huerter and Monk helped a lot in clutch situations. Huerter at one point in that season was top 15 in clutch situations, at the very least. Monk was also clutch just look at the 2nd highest scoring game of all time. Both were mostly hurt last season.
Hell yeah lets Gooooooo Kings! We will be in contention this season feeling really good as long as we do not have major injuries. Starting 5 and bench looking very strong!
PF - DeMar DeRozan SF - Keegan Murray C - Domantis Sabonis SG - Kevin Huerter or Malik Monk PG - De'Aaron Fox PF - Trey Lyles SF - Jalen McDaniels C - Alex Len SG - Monk/Huerter PG - Keon Ellis I think Carter because of injury will be the 3rd PG on the depth chart this season. Orlando Robinson as the 3rd Center. After that, I think it will be a bit of a competition to see who makes the roster. Slawson, Ford, etc. Sabonis might not be a true Center, but he is the one who will play the position. He is because of his consistency probably the 3rd best Center in the NBA. With only Joker and Embiid ahead of him. One might argue AD, but AD isn't the consistent double double guy with triple double playmaking ability that Sabonis is. AD is a better rim protector, but not a great passer or ball handler. But yeah, I see the Kings being a 50 win team. Possibly 55 win team with a little luck. Of course like any team, it will be staying healthy. But the upside on paper, is a top 4 seed in the playoffs. That is where I see the Kings. OKC, Minnesota, Denver...I think are clearly better. Dallas can be, but it is really close between the two. New Orleans, the two LA teams, Phoenix, Golden State, Utah, Portland, Houston, San Antonio, and Memphis...I just don't see as being better than the Kings in the West. Mostly because the Kings have a lot of weapons. 6 guys who on any night can torch the other team. 5 solid role players aside from that. It makes it hard to beat a team like that. You can't double up or triple up a team like that. They can make a team pay for mistakes. The only thing holding the Kings back, is the worry that they will stay in this regression from the foul line. They need to be what they were 2 years ago and not last season if they want to reach their ceiling instead of bottom out to a bad floor. Yes, rim protection will be a concern, I just don't know if Alex Len or Orlando Robinson can provide enough of it to make up for Sabonis not being a great rim protector. That is my only other area of concern. Because most of this team can handle the ball well and run well and pass well. They have plenty of shooting. Elite scoring. Maybe the best rebounder in the NBA. Mike Brown is a great head coach. I don't know if the Kings will be a top 4 seed or not, if they will have a deep playoff run or not. But they have the tools to be that kind of a team.
@@reidb6327 I see him like Monk. More of a combo guard than a true shooting guard. Because of the injury to Carter, he is likely to be the backup point guard to Fox at least until Carter gets back sometime in January, taking the Davion Mitchell spot until then.
@@B3_W3LL I hadn't heard on that end. Kind of surprised on Slawson because of him still being so young that they would let him go. Granted he wasn't doing anything on the bench. Ford, I can understand wanting to let him find an opportunity somewhere else.
Understanding the Kings a lot more. Knowing why Kings fell off at the end of last season despite they were literally was still at 5-6 seed in March ahead of Dallas when Huerter went down and Monk soon followed, I'm betting a couple of hundos to win 60+ wins. Especially kings lost multiple close games due to Huerter and Monk were missing games to help open it up for Fox, adding DeRozan will definitely woild swing those close games towards the Kings.
Hey I’m so glad to hear that, your fanbase has been incredibly welcoming and supportive to me. It’s a great feeling to know I did your team some justice, that’s really my goal with these videos! I’ll certainly be making this deep dive series a staple for offseasons to come, it’s been a ton of fun making them for me and the feedback has been so amazing! Rooting for you guys next season! Good luck and thanks for the support 🙏🏻
Sacramento Kings can clinch a 2 seed even in a tough west conference and they may even reach the Western Conference Finals, probably the Finals. This team is stacked. 👍🏾👌🏾
Good job with your homework on the kings. A lot of the things you're saying our local scene says a lot of the same things but I'm most excited to see sabonis with DeRozan. Elite passer with an elite veteran shooter
I feel the same way about my 76ers, with great expectations usually comes great disappointment for my city! I’m sure you guys will handle well though, you have a great team and good coaching staff! Wishing you all the best 👑👑
Davion really was figuring out the shooting thing, but hes not long and hes short. They call him 6' but uhhh I'm 5'6" and Davion didn't feel super tall for me when I saw him. Devin Carter looks like he has the defensive mojo, is only 6'2, but super long, so the height isn't really an issue. I wouldn't mind if they just gave him the entire year, I do love the pick, if it wasn't for his shoulder I'm not sure we could have got him. I'm excited to see him play.
Still at 13 minutes of the video after you talked about Fox. Kinda a huge miss on another thing people try to fault fox form which is his defense. Last two season Fox defense has improved and has become one of the better on ball defender. I can see Fox to continue to improve on dedense, and with nice help from his teammates, he can definitely be at an all defensive caliber. He is the steals champ, yes steals doesn't always mean to be a great defender and mediocre defenders have lead in steals but usually that happens when a player is surrounded by great defenders and they can gamble a lot in the passing lane knowing their teammates will pick up the slack, that wasnt the case for Fox. Fox got the steals by being great on ball defender and pick pocketing his assignment and disrupting passing lanes without mich gambling to get his steals.
lol the crazy thing is, I KNEW it was Jalen because he was on my team and I like his game lol I think I just had Minnesota on my mind for some reason 🤦🏻♂️😂
Alex Len is a beast, everyone mentions what he can’t do. Look at what he does do. He brings toughness, blocks and rebounds, clogs the paint. He doesn’t get enough credit or minutes Monk deserves to start!!! As a kings fan I’ve been pushing for him to start for 2 years but I must say either Fox and Derozan the starting 2 should be Keon Ellis. Ellis will guard the other teams best guard and Keegan will guard the other teams best forward. Derozan will have all kinds of space to operate with all of our shooters and with Derozan being an elite creator guys like Keegan will get some of the best looks from 3 One of Derozan best assets will be his ability to finish when the play breaks down, Derozan doesn’t need much space or time to operate.
What? Ellis had a 29pt summer league. Like Murray last off season, after scoring 30+ pts on multiple games, kings summer league shutdown ellis tongive others opportunities.
@@DeHave I think his only weakness is that he doesn’t know he can be a force in the league if he sets his mind to it… (YET) Some players get early like Fox and others don’t realize it until it’s too late. I think he will… or maybe already has this summer. I’m expecting great things out of him this year.
I agree, I think the addition of Jalen McDaniels, the improved defense of Keegan Murray and the development (hopefully) of Keon Ellis will all contribute to better defense. If their offense is like 2023 they honestly can beat a ton of teams with an average defense. Also Devin Carter will help as well whenever he gets back from injury! I hear you though, it is the weakness I agree! 🙏🏻
Demar would be way better 3rd option than Barnes , yes defensively isn’t there but we need a another 20 plus point scorer as well we had plenty of games when fox went out we had 5 min plus fg drought as well we played a lot of 1 on 1 so demar will easily fill the role we heavily needed plus we have a decent bench now
If you look at advanced stats, especially on 3pt defence, people scored on Barnes 41% of the time vs 34% against derozen. So he is at least not a negative defensively
They better not slow down Keegan Murray’s progression for it. The nba is too loaded with talent that’s multiplying to keep getting name guys towards the ends of their careers. Rosters are too deep for that but people still don’t see it. DD can be a good thing if he stays in a smaller lane than he’s used to but while it could turn out to be a good move for example the bigger move was okc getting Hartenstein. Why? Because he’s a great added piece who’s not going to stunt anyone’s growth. Should’ve shipped Barnes and got lower maintenance role players and said “Keegan we want more from you”. They could have a great understanding with DD that will still allow that but him being a big name vet cam still slow the progression just cause of who is and younger players can tend to defer. Just like this coming season the pic should be DFox Sabonis and Keegan not Demar. Not saying that knocking you cause it makes sense but if that’s how Sac is really looking at it then all they’ll be doing is slowing up his progression. Now of course it’s good they’ll play with pace for more opportunities but too many times these teams go after the name pushing back all this great talent. I can name plenty of other teams this is happening with but the cavs moving on Donovan Mitchell is a great example. They have the nee age Tim Duncan in Evan Mobley and before DMitchell they got to the playoffs. You let EMobley turn into the monster he can be then go get a name player if need be but instead they got DMitchell the following year and while they’ll win some they will never be better than if EMobley were the guy because him as the guy will give them way more than anything DMitchell can give them so they’re stunting EMobley’s growth as a 3rd, 4th option on a squad that won’t win a chip with DMitchell as the guy. Can they chip like that? It’s possible the margin for error is far smaller with DMitchell, Garland as the guy than EMobley being the guy. You can’t max every player but hypothetically if each player on that team were 100% maxed EMobley can give more than anyone else on the squad. Same as in golden st with Kuminga & Wiggins. Keegan is a stone cold baller who needs to be the guy. DMitchell, Steph, DFox, Sabonis can still do their thing but these teams would be more dangerous if they let the guys who can give more if they’re the ones elevated but pecking orders are king in the nba as well as winning some can disguise. The best role players are role players with no choice then guys who can accept the roles but that becomes harder for guys who know they’re more than role players so that produces uneven performances
50+ beams. I like and agree with all of your analysis of the players with the exception of Jalen Mcdaniels. Was he a throw in to get him off of Toronto’s hands? Not a fan. Weak sauce
@@Drewskiifadez No he hasn't. the only team he played power forward for was the very start of his career in Okc. And that's because not even zeus would play would play center over Steven Adams. He played center and guarded centers in indiana. Miles turner was not guarding the centers Sabonis was. And he's guarded nothing but centers in sacramento. Who you guard is the determining factor of what position you are. Not what you can do offensively with the ball.
@@brianmorton963 bro what are u talking about. Sabonis DEFINTELY played PF for the pacers. And who u guard doesn’t mean that’s the position u play 😂 who a player guards change almost every game, if that’s what u believe we should sit here and say keegan Murray is the point guard since he guards steph when they play the warriors
@@brianmorton963 and ur straight up lying, cause I would watch pacers games. Myles turner was definitely guarding the centers, why would they have their best rim protector guarding power forwards
@@Drewskiifadez Because Miles Turner had way more mobility than him. It's not my fault you don't know what you're looking at. No one would want Sabonis playing a more mobile person then Miles Turner. And if you truly watched in the indiana, you'd know that most of his blocks came from the weekside on help
I'm not sold on... they still lack size and length... there's no real depth at the wing spot on the bench especially if Monk starts. They over valued Keegan and by the time they realize it his value would have declined .... could've snagged a all star
@@blowc1612 I'm not a casual I'm just a Pels fan. Every time we see Keegan he looks timid and soft. He can't attack close outs and if his three ball not falling he's useless on offense. Now defensively BI cooks him for 30 ppg. So forgive me for not sharing your enthusiasm
