In a sentence: finding a capable Jeff Brohm replacement was an impossible task. He was literally the only reason Purdue football was worth a damn and he gave us a damn good time for his 6 years here.
We can find some else. If Iowa Illinois and every other Midwest school can be competent there is no reason Purdue can’t. Except we maybe the university leadership and AD who keep making bad decision after another. Fully commit to the program and go hire a proven head coach…this shouldn’t be that difficult
I've been a Purdue fan since i can remember. Some of my most formative sports memories came from Purdue football and I had the privilege of getting my Masters from Purdue in 2019. This season has been so bad with the on field product I can't register emotions for the team. The Darrell Hazel years were bad, but we knew they'd be bad because we didn't have good players and Hazel looked like he was in over his skis the entire time. The Brohm years were frustrating, because we knew we could be successful and we had the talent, but we always played down to inferior competition. Now, we have the talent but we don't even play up to the competition and when we do, like we did against Illinois yesterday. Our coaches find a new and innovative way of slamming their penises in the car door. I'm done letting this team hurt me, I'm just going to emotionally check out until something changes.
D. to the E. to he I. There was NOTHING, nothing that qualified Walters to be a head coach. Clearly he could coach a defensive side. Period. Why the hell do you hire this guy? Let him get started in a HS, a JC, a MAC, or a Div 2 team. LMFAO. You made it, you lie in it Purdue admin.
It’s unpopular but I want him to have another year I’m a Purdue fan and it’s been an awful season only having hope for basketball but I know he recruits well and I’d like to see what his guys can do as upperclassman with no excuses next year if he gets under 6 wins I want him gone
The bottom of the big 10 and sec will always struggle. Doesn't matter if they make more money than Big 12/ACC. Coaches want to win. Nebraska is an also-ran in the B1G. No chance for Purdue to build a program.
