"Rarely cut the nails" ... Vinny's display of gentlemanly cattiness is something to be admired. --- I do apologize. The proper term is "gentleman's wit".😽😼😸
It’s incredibly sad that people actually think like this, just because you think you’re some type of “alpha” or whatever bull they come up with doesn’t mean you can control other people’s lives.
I cannot take anyone seriously who bases his entire personality on a trope that a) was thoroughly debunked by the scientist who first proposed the idea studying wolves in captivity, and then spent the rest of his career shouting "NO! I got it wrong!" to no avail, and b) lives on primarily in the fan fiction community where it's some sort of super-grapey Gay to the Nth Power sort of stuff, up to and including male pregnancy. Every time I hear one of these people calling themselves an alpha, I immediately picture them in a woman-free world, which is I guess what they wanted all along.
@@FunkyLittlePoptart Small correction, some animals do have alpha animals (like horses). But humans aren't included in them, since most of us prefer a monogamous relationship. And omegaverse can be straight as well but then it's just sexism on a new level. But those worlds still have male omegas and male pregnancy, so yeah. Just needed to get that out of my brain.
sadly, this faulty alpha version has been around for quite a while now. the devs seem to work in decades rather than years and it's a long process. in some countries they still run pre-alpha tests
OMG, What an incredible song/video!!!! I'm a 65 year old woman and would have loved for all the entitled men I've had to deal with to watch this. Our culture seems to breed these 'alpha' males who are actually not alpha at all because their insecurity makes them incapable of treating women with respect and earning her affection. It's quite frightening for a woman who says, and means NO to have a man push himself on her. All women have to deal with this regularly. It makes it difficult women to recognize and trust the good, honest and decent men who aren't like this but who get lumped in with the predatory men. For women, it's like putting your hand in a cookie jar but you know there are razor blades in there. The fact that women STILL DO try is a sign of courage, or naivete. But sooner or later most women get burned and that's just sad for everyone.
@@bingewatchforever1587 yeah for real, it’s weird that they make up this concept in the first place, but it’s only a little funny when you think about the fact that they use ‘alpha’ based on a misconception of another species ranking. But yeah it’s really questionable, just in general.
@@spitt3640 YESS It’s just so funny to think that it’s something positive… not knowing they’re basically calling themselves inexperienced, mistake making, and basically teenage failure energy- and I say that lightheartedly as someone who is still a teenager for another year. Honestly they deserve the term for what it actually means, but.. it’s funny to think that they assume it means ‘leader’ and all high and mighty and all that jazz, right? Just a bit funny how they’re unknowingly outing themselves as assholes the moment they say they’re an alpha
Well alpha is still used in primatology and some researchers use it for other animals, but there's a bit of contention around it just because of how it's being used by these men - which, yes, 100% they have the wrong idea. For primates there's the alpha male and the alpha female. The role they play depends on the species, but it's less about power and toughness and more about who is liked by the group (chimpanzee males basically campaign like politicians and the alpha male often has to defer to the alpha female). It's very rarely that an alpha would get the position out of brute force, and dominance, it can happen and those populations are less successful. A healthy social group is usually going to usurp them. Frans De Waal, late leading primatology expert did a fantastic Ted talk on it, and has some fantastic books. The concept isn't just from the wolf study. It's also a term used in ichthyology as well, but less to do with a social hierarchy.
I just love it as a man that you sing this... ❤ Overnight here in Aust we had another woman in our community killed as a DV victim. Please keep singing in solidarity.
Bloody hell you have no right to make a song so good lmao😂 I remember seeing the shorter version and really wishing for this, your talent is insane so keep it up! Also the lesson is something a saddening amount of people need to see. If you want to be in a relationship with someone then arrogance, selfishness and narcasism will not work, and is certainly the sign of deeper issues. But still, great work man and i hope to see more in the future ❤
Vinny, I have no idea how I came across your video, but I am SO GLAD I did! Seriously, this should be part of every school's curriculum so those self-proclaimed "Alpha Males" will be educated early on. Thank you for this gem, and greetings from Germany ☺️
If this turns into a whole universe with Rose, The Lesbian Hunter, Captain Platonic, etc is the Sad Alpha Male going to be the Villain who they defeat pathetically easily and looking at him like 😑 as he whines about it…
I was almost get over this song because it keep playing in my head for the past week. Now that i see this again, it will played in my head again for the next weeks. I really love the song tho
I am enamored with your voice (pitch, control, all) and the lyrics and topics of your songs!! :) Glad RU-vid shorts had me cross paths with your channel. :)
Alpha, Beta, sigma..all words for guys who can't understand being man... humming this tune. As me and the love of my life for twelve years, go by snickering at their stupidity.
First of all, women can be leaders and protectors as much as men can. Second, I think the whole concept of "aplha, beta" etc. is highly questionable. We are all human beings with different strengths and weaknesses in different fields, with different abilities and needs. We all need one another.
@@bingewatchforever1587 oh wow, I would have never known that women can be leaders and protectors, that's the most shocking thought. It's almost like my comment is more about the guy who the song is about. Oh my how dare I not add in things about women to my comment about a spoild man child who thinks the word no doesn't apply to him and belives that's what being an alpha male is. Oh my how dare I not be fully inclusive in my comment that was focus on the man child the song was about. Next time I make a comment I'll do my best to add in things that hold no point to the conversation, so no one feels left out.
@@bingewatchforever1587 ye I've watched a few of these greek alphabet guys trying to explain it and the whole concept is hilarious. Talk about delusional.
I bought that brilliant song a while back and put it on my mp3-player, and apparently have been listenening to it a lot on the go- because I knew the lyrics by heart although the video only appeared an hour ago. ;) Great song, great voice.
I usually am against dissing one's appearance, but here it was mixed with some actually good points against the ideas presented, so, for the sake of throwing it in the face of a ****, I will support it
It's not like he was insulting their weight, just personal hygiene. NEVER insult something someone can't change in a few minutes. And use your judgement about things they can change.
"Maybe shave the beard" isn't really dissing his appearance. It's more like saying to change it up and see if that helps, like giving style advice to your friend. It's not like it's about something unchangeable/not easy to change.
This was absolute gold. I found your stuff a few weeks ago and fell in love with your voice. Now I see all this cool shit you do, and damn. You are pretty solid bro. I'd have a pint with you, and I kinda hate people. So well done.
I wish I was absurdly rich so I could offer you patronage (like old school patronage) and listen to your lovely voice whenever you felt like singing and you'd never have to worry about having enough money to survive.
The whole 'alpha' concept is an appropriation from the observation of wolves, except there's a built-in error. Rudolph Schenkel published a paper on wolf behavior and pack structure back in 1948 based on his observations of wolves. CAPTIVE wolves. Schenkel derived his observations from zoo animals, from unrelated wolves thrown together and held in limited space; additionally, it doesn't consider if the animals were socialized to other wolves or if they had been traumatized by circumstance or maltreatment. First off, generalizing from a separate species as if behaviors are 'hardwired in' is unsupportable without solid evidence. But secondly, basing it all on observations of unnatural and compromised populations creates the very opposite of truth and knowledge. And even Schenkel realized that, spending the remainder of his life trying to retract his erroneous findings. Natural wolf packs develop from an originating mating pair; the packs are led by the progenitors, by 'mom' and 'dad'. They are affectionate, they share, and they work as a team to survive in the wild. While they may contend with the limits imposed by weather and food resources, they run free. They have no unnatural boundaries to constrict solutions to problems. It's a matter of 'options'; a sense of freedom derives from having options to employ to resolve problems. Humans can relate to how crazy-making it is to not have options. Caging wild animals removes their options; it turns wild, socialized animals into captive competitors. So, basically, the entire 'alpha male' concept is not based on anything natural or innate; it's demonstrative of aberrant anti-social or pathological behavior, indicative of severe immaturity.
I appreciate your comment very much. It's a shame that it is probably a waste of time, because those who claim to be "alpha males" probably will either not read it, or not understand it - or not accept it, like the man in the song didn't accept the rejection 😉
@@bingewatchforever1587 Not a waste of time. If others go out prepared with this information, they may inform the poseurs. They may laugh at them. They may embarrass them into changing their behavior. Currently, alpha-pretenders feel like this 'alpha' label justifies their pathological behavior. They inflict their demands on others and infect other insecure and lonely men with a foundationless belief system. If these guys hit a wall of social rejection and ridicule, their behaviors will change. It's never a waste of time to learn or internalize truth. We just have to be willing to hear and transport truth to those who didn't know.
A long long time ago, a betta man had been nice to that same woman instead. He got her love, he got her hand, married her and loved her till his death. To her he was a real man and not an insecure weakling, so unlike the alfa man who thought the opposite was happening. 😂
