Well think of it this way, sure it’s sad to see bunny go, but at the same time I think this is what happens when the creators of the first 4th powerpuff girl took one look at what they created and said ok this is not good so they scrapped bunny in the worst way possible, to make room for something else something that is (I hate to say it) better and more mentally put together but then again that’s just speculation

It reminds me of Frankenstein after Victor abandons his creation and the monster just stumbles around for a while trying to figure out the world (because he's basically a giant newborn baby, VICTOR)

Mind you, I don't think this episode was a metaphor for mentally disabled people. Besides the Powerpuff Girls used the wrong ingredients, didn't stir them up and INTENTIONALLY dropped Chemical X into the concoction. She was improperly made and thus she was bound to blow up. Bunny was a literal ticking time bomb.

But to be fair to the girls, they are also still in kindergarten and still expected to save Townsville over and over, open the Mayor's pickle jar, and still do their at home chores. Why doesn't Professor Utonium take care of the at home chores since he's pretty much a stay-at-home dad that can afford to be a stay-at-home dad. Sorry for sounding ageist.

Plus, they kinda gave up on her too quickly. Yes, what she did was wrong. But she clearly didn't fully understand who are the bad guys and the good guys were. She was only born a few minutes ago. They could've told her the cops were the good guys and that she should help them catch the bad guys. But the girls were so caught up in wanting a day off, they gave Bunny their job in a haste.

@@Neku628 Well the professor isn't a stay at home dad. He's a scientist who works from home. And if you see the episode where he gets a girlfriends, it's shown that he puts on a smile for the girls, but as soon as they're in bed, he's exhausted, and terribly lonely.

Sometimes parents do this, they expect something from you without explaining it to you and then you do something wrong even though you thought it was good.

Maybe since the upcoming reboot will have creator actively leading the show this time, maybe he might tweak the ppg lore, knowing the 2016 reboot exist, its up to the creator of he wants to incorporate or discard some of the non canon 2016 aspects into the new show. I wonder what he'll do with the bliss and bunny characters or the idea of a fourth ppg.

@@designerxgamer IKR? He's in a cheery mood in the other episodes. Like the video says, the death of Bunny just hit different, so the crying is appropriate cuz the passing of someone affects those who care about them; not to mention that the overall theme is given in a way for kids to understand.

Take into account for their age, which is 5 years old, plus they were overwhelmed with guilt when they cause Bunny to cry and leave them and by the time they noticed the criminals are behind them, it was too late to fight back.

@@designerxgamer the age of the Powerpuff Girls isn't really specified in the series, but it wouldn't be a factor since they regularly fight giant monsters, which are more powerful than a group of adults ganging up on them. Their guilt may be a factor, but it still shouldn't be enough for a large group of criminals to overpower them.

Yeah, and the "accident" part could have not been an accident. The girls were made because Professor Utonium was pushed into the Chemical X, causing all of it to pour into his concoction for the "perfect little girl". The show also did a What If with the PPGs where the Professor followed the instructions, but didn't include the Chemical X, the result were just three average, five-year-old girls doing kid things. The Chemical X is what gave the girls their powers, so if anyone is going to make he perfect PPG, they would need to be really careful and accurately measure the Chemical X. That in itself is vague as all heck. What even is the "perfect" measurement for Chemical X when creating the PPG?

Since they were all supposed to be one person, the chemical X probably separated all their powers, so your right.

Damn. I always pictured Bubbles as Everything Nice and Blossom as Sugar but you have a point with the color coding

@sosansational actully i read up on Bliss, and it's the opposite. she's strong, but only when her emotions get out of wack. However, she can't control her powers. So it's like Raven from Teen Titans but without the discipline. She gets a bit too excited and boom, she blasts a hole in the roof, gets a bit too anxious, forest obliterated, too angry? that's a skyscraper gone. It seems like quite an obstacle to overcome. its the whole reason she left home in the first place. shes chemically unstable

The girls also represented what reckless mentoring/parenting can result in. They tell bunny to go and fight crime without actually showing her who and what that looks like. Then they blame her for making an innocent but uneducated mistake. All in all it’s just kids being kids but the outcome remained horrific.

@@murrayvation Your absolutely right, the quality of parenting in recent years has gone down dangerously and is getting worse. I say this with a heavy heart, but just off of my own experience most parents base there approach on what their own parents did with them (all the missteps included) it is not enough, high schools across the nation must require all students to take a "MANDATORY" course on parenting during their senor year and use examples like this episode to showcase what can go wrong if they don't take it seriously. really drive the point home and stop this escalating cycle of negligence.

They've grown up during a time when mental health was way more of a concern and I think that they're going to focus a lot more on quality than quantity. Gen Alpha might be smaller than previous generations, but here's hoping they'll be the most loved and supported generation out of all those currently alive

Respectfully, this is a pretty one sided notion. It takes two. Yes mothers should be responsible and take being a parent seriously but the same goes for fathers. They also had a part in birth and they should continue to provide support to both the mother and the children. Sadly something a lot of father do not do

You're kinda right. They just gave her instructions and expected her to get it right without bothering to even observe her performance. Plus, they gave up on her too quickly. They forgot she was just born 5-10 minutes ago. Nor did they become superheroes themselves from Day 1. They should've educated her, first, before sending her off all willy-nilly.

Yeah, they should have. Better yet, they should have had told the Professor who could have helped them with Bunny since he's pretty much the one that allows anyone to come into his lab and do who knows what in there. He doesn't even bother storing the Chemical X properly. He's a lousy parent who would have probably just yelled at the girls like the girls did to Bunny, even though he's the parent in the situation and he should know how to explain stuff instead of just assuming the girls will get it on the fly.@@kidprime6863 As an autistic woman, I'm still dealing with childhood trauma of feeling inadequate because I didn't get stuff as fast as my classmates and I didn't hit the milestones my peers did when they grew up. My mom described mine and my cousin's relationship as me just being a playmate for her. I felt abandoned when she stopped coming around often and was just glad to see her. I did have my stubborn streak as well, because yeah, I have my limits too. I just hated when my mom reenacted my own "fits" because I didn't want to do what my cousin said or I got frustrated with the church I went to always making me feel dumb. I just wondered off a lot in the church and the youth pastor just chewed me out. I said I was sorry and he returned, "No, you're not!" This youth pastor was also a math teacher and he gave an example of how a student of his was willing to go to the principal's because they refuse to admit when they got a math problem wrong. The youth pastor said that "We as Christians should do the same". Sorry for the story. I just empathize with Bunny because she was expected to do something she wasn't even given any instructions on and then just yelled out because of it.

To play devil's advocate though, I'm sure since the og 3 girls were automatically born with self awareness and intelligence unlike regular children, they probably just assumed that Bunny would mentally come out the same way. Yeah, you're right. It would've been nice if Melody and Jenny made amends. The two of them could've became great friends and possibly even partners. She could've been helpful against the Cluster. Just had an idea: Have an episode were Melody joins the Cluster in order to truly belong while Brad and Jenny try to reason with her that the Cluster are evil as they try to make amends with her. Such a wasted opportunity.

Misty may not be a robot but maybe just maybe if she realizes that money isn't everything she would be friends with Jenny and the rest of the gang again!
