@@garrettsadventurehey mate good to see you enjoying life some great sailing all through there I’ve done it all the way to Tonga from Florida Hey anyone out there I’m looking for crew on a 43ft Simpson Catamaran
You are doing what 99.99 percent of your viewers (including me) only wish they could have done in their dwindling life span. Congrats for the courage and self determination.
Young man I've watched your journey and now you have a companion which I am very pleased about to continue your journey to New Zealand. God bless your new journey and I look foreword to your next video. Stay safe.!🙂
Thank you for letting me and others go along an adventure that many could not ever dream of going upon. I literally grinned/smiled throughout quite a few of your videos I stumbled upon last evening. Thank you Garrett. Praying for safe sailing. Keep posting your videos. Those videos are a slice of heaven.
Congrats on 100k subs, I witnessed it happen while watching your 3 part Pacific crossing uploads. Awesome stuff! Very level headed and optimistic sailor. Keep it up!
My favorite channel is back! I'd love some more details about what you did in your off time and what your living arrangements are like when you're not on the boat. Keep up the great work, this channel is the best!
Just find you videos and its nice to see an so young man jump into he's dreams and just go for it ! Keep up the good life ! I will follow your journey so now you have a new swedish subscriber 😊😊
Been watching all of your vehicles and they have definitely ignited a fire inside to explore sailing once again. Dad used to own a sailboat when I was young and now-a-days he has a powerboat that is small enough to take out on a local chain of lakes near us or out to the ocean if he would like. Although I love his boat i'd like to keep the tradition of sailing in my family alive and plan to take some courses near me. Stay safe brotha!
Garrett thank you for your time and the spirit getting second boat and first was the original Hurley 27 in the US from England gave it away during COVID looking forward to sailing 31 trimaran in the big blue I truly appreciate you keep doing it hugs 😊
Good for you young fella. Grab those dreams while you can. As an older gentleman I can tell you time goes fast. Make memories as fast and often as you can!
I follow a family that has sailed the world twice with 3 kids over the past 7 year @SailingZatara and they have an awesome CAT. I feel for the owner of the CAT that ran aground. That is a lot of glass work needed on the haul. Glad you are back, I didn't know you left for a few months for the cyclone season. Keep rolling Garrett. You're doing great and these vids bring back so many younger sailing trips!! My dad love French Polynesia! Glad you have a friend too. Solo is ok, but longer voyages are nice to have the extra hand on board. I am sure you will meet many island hoppers too that would help on overnighters! Enjoy!
i found this channel a couple months ago, and i was wondering when we would hear more. So glad to see you back on the water! I am living my dream vicariously through you garrett, make the most of it!
Welcome back Garrett, Will be better to have some company on your long Voyage, We will welcome u to New Zealand :) Make a Point going to Nelson and we can show u around :) Awesome :) Be safe out there 😋
Dude you’re insanely brave for doing what you do, and I respect the hell out of that! Please be safe out there, and am looking forward to seeing more adventures from you!
Garrett your videos are so inspiring and interesting to watch. I was wondering if you could make a video talking a bit about how you got into sailing and about your life like where you grew up and why you chose to solo travel?
Enjoying your videos sir! Thank you! Shake your dad's hand for me on a job well done on his son! FYI - Run the Generator completely out of gas the next time you need to store it for a few months or more.
I swear im twice your age and just by watching you live a dream has literally made me rethink my life goals. You genuinely seem so happy that i think its time for me to follow mine and be happy as well. Safe sailing ❤ from North Carolina
Nice to see you back Garrett. You are an inspiration to people of all ages. Great to see you have company on this trip. Look forward to future videos. Keep well and safe. James.
I have a Tomking TK144FC four stroke outboard. It's 53 CC's, 23 LBS, reaches 16 inches, and has an aluminum pop. You remove the flywheel and file the crank notch to set the ignition close to top dead center = cooler better idle. Change the centrifugal clutch springs to light ones so you can troll. Many aluminum propellers do much better filed and sanded with a hand finish on the leads and trailing edges of the blades. Sand the inside of the handle and you can stick a long pole in it for steering. You can probably pick up a TK144FC for less than $300 new. I won't touch a water cooled motor or two stroke, nor leave gas in it.
Hi from New Zealand. Nice to see some fresh content. Sleep deprivation must be a hard issue to work around. Not sure how 'll cope when I start adventuring in my boat. Was interesting see how you handled the anchor solo. Something I still haven't quite got my head around. Enjoy your time in the South Pacific. You never know, I might see you in New Zealand.
Kudos. I did the Annapurna Circuit 25 years ago, when I was 20 with zero hiking experience and no knowledge awailable on the Internet. Still today I remember this first Himalaya exploit fondly and remember it at hard times, thinking I had the guts and strength to do this as a very young girl. I can also do what lies agead of me, may it be jobrelated, personal or health. I wish you all the best.
Well, alright, Garrets is back! Was in Raiatea on anchor during that little weather system. Thankfully didnt amount to much. Just flew back to rainy, California, wishing I would have stayed longer. I'm looking forward to seeing where you end up this season. Be safe out there.
Actually I was there to install two electric motors on a 56 ft custom catamaran. I work on boats, and I was there 6 weeks. Ill be back this summer. You are in an amazing part of the world. Be thankful every day. You're getting to do what many can only dream about.
Keep up the epic journey mate well done. Dont apologise for seeming grumpy “you dont seem grumpy” btw. Incredible what you are doing solo 72 hours sleeping in small 20 -30 minute periods will drive anyone bonkers. Have fun and keep going.
Stumbled across your videos with my 8 year old son. We are so locked in on your adventure. We are so excited for your journey wherever that may take you. Please sail safe man! You got balls bro lol
This is incredibly interesting content, very inspiring too As I watch this I can envision myself doing similar adventures but the reality is I probably won't ever take up sailing, however there is adventure available to me where I am and watching this motivates me to seize the day Stay safe out there! my greatest fear would be those massive waves during severe storms. Not sure I'd feels safe unless I was in an aircraft carrier tbh
Nice to see another video. I was wondering what had happened to you. I thought someone had mabey robbed you and made you walk the plank. Glad to see you are alive and well.
