He doesn’t go through progressions he has his mind set on one receiver and if the receiver can’t get open he can’t improvise AT ALL. I was at the game. The routes where Olave and Shaheed are wide open. He’s checking down to get 3-4 yards. When he finally looks for shaheed or olave, they are covered and sometimes even double covered
Derek Carr is NOT elite, never had been, never will be be and is yelling at the players to cover for his own play. Should NEVER be compared to brady or manning ever. He overthrows olave by 10 yard and unwatchable out of bounds and yells at him for stopping. GUY is a fake, like his fake tears last year, just trying to shift the focus off his horrible play to others. Now you see why Jacob’s was RB1 in fantasy and now Kamara, guy cant throw over 10 yards with any efficiency.

He’s missing wide open receivers and not processing fast enough. Again, it’s not all on him. It starts with poor coaching. But Carr has not looked hot man.
It's also gotta be pointed out the Saints rushing in the red zone These men got 31 rushes, 71 yards, and 4 TDs by their top 4 option. 2 of those TDs are by a man who ain't even on the roster anymore and 30 of those yards are by a damn QB/TE!

Jameis Winston,Teddy Bridgewater,Taysom Hill,Andy,Dalton,Trevor Seimien, and Luke Mccown have all performed better than Derek Carr in a SAINTS uniform...Being from New Orleans I know there is a heavy race issue with some fans when it comes to QB for saints..Jameis Winston 10-4 as starter and was winning games against formidable opponents up until he went down against Tampa..He got no love from some Saints fans. Carr is what he is and that is a middle of the road to below average quarterback...He got replaced by always hurt injury prone Jimmy Garropolo, Jameis got replaced by Tom Brady...If Tom wouldn't have went to Tampa, Jameis would most likely still be on that team...Jameis also have the better arm talent and can push the ball down the field...It takes Carr three quarters to scrape 100 yards...The Saints office has not looked this inept with any other quarterback..

Willie I’ve been a Carr defender for years now now seeing on other team. Carr is the issue. He’s missing throws, he’s off target, n he knows it. That is why he’s acting out of character. Microscope is on him. Other NFL players pointed out Carr wasn’t throwing it away, ball was already off target out of bounds. He’s missed similar in red zone. Let Jameis come him n see offense move n Carr will look worse. Olive took high road taking responsibility but u can see he wants to say more. watch the tape. Carr was terrible all game and shouldve thrown 3 picks if the other 2 werent dropped. Completely making the wrong read progressions. Not allowing plays to develop before checking down. Poor pocket presence, happy feet. At some point, there needs to be honest discussion that he is simply no longer a top 15 QB.
Carr is just a very average NFL quarterback who everybody is, and always has, put to high expectations on him. He makes to many mistakes at critical times and I don't see that changing.

There's another quarterback room break down guy that explains why guys probably give up on routes. Mostly because when they run the routes and are open, Carr throws a check down before the 3rd step of the routes. They are frustrated! Just like he did with my raiders for years.
THE PROBLEM IS ROUTE CONCEPTS!!! That’s it. Look at the routes we’re running on 3rd downs. We’re either wasting multiple WRs as decoys(running routes just to try to open space), or we’re sending everybody on long developing deep routes with 1 guy or nobody coming across the field. Thing is, the defense always blitzes us on 3rd downs so we never have the time and the only option is to check down to AK(who always has a guy on him on 3rd down). It’s stupid, we’re doing the same shit in the same situations. We’re only had success in the 2 minute offense just like last year. We are any team’s defensive coordinator’s dream opponent. Pete Carmichael is the problem!

The play that Olave slowed up seemed to be a clear out for an inder route to Taysom Hill- and he was OPEN for the 1st down. Carr, for some reason, just decided he was going to throw the ball to Olave no matter what. The dude can't process quickly and isn't talented enough to call out others publicly.

Derek Carr looked like Tom Brady in the 4th quarter. Why? They need to let this offense flow. No matter what someone’s tells you - Tom Brady ran the plays he wanted to - not Josh McDaniels. Since Tom left, McDaniels is an average play caller at best. Sean Payton? Lost Drew Brees and can’t make it work with Russell Wilson. How come Tom could go to Tampa and bring former Patriots and win the Super Bowl without Josh McDaniels? He chose the plays and the way he wanted to play at both locations. Same with Peyton Manning. You have to let Derek Carr play what is natural for him to get this offense in sync. He doesn’t need to read the defense for a five step drop. The receivers are green. They can’t read the defense and adjust so let them be athletic and make quick breaks.

The Saints can't score for multiple reasons.. mainly because of the horrible coaching & play calling. Saints had plenty of 1st & goals & only thought of using Taysom Hill once out of all those series.. (resulted in a TD btw). You mean to tell me Taysom can't get 10 yds in 3 plays consistently? That offense needs time to get it together, the o-line isn't playing well and then they've been hit with multiple injuries.
