After Russ secured that $245 million dollar contract and moved to Denver, he forgot that he was supposed to be an elite NFL QB. His head got too big and he became more concerned with showing up red carpet and sporting events, wearing thousand dollar outfits and sunglasses indoors while posing with Ciera for the paparazzi. Kyle Brandt said it best when he said that Wilson is one on the least authentic players in the NFL. Brandt also said that Russell is a "poser" and always trying to be something that he's not. Russ became so obsessed with his and Ciera's perceived celebrity status that it hurt his on-field play in Denver and just about ruined his NFL career. It's as though he could never get his head in the game because his thoughts were occupied elsewhere. Now, he's about to be traded and will probably wind up as a backup QB in Pittsburgh or Las Vegas making the NFL minimum salary of $1.2 M. But that's okay; he still has Denver on the hook for $39 million. Bottom line: Russell flew too close to the sun and his wax wings melted.
The most cringe thing about Russell Wilson is, besides the lets ride shit is his tenure with the Broncos. When you come out and say "lets ride" to Broncos country you're basically telling him I'm going to make the team better. Russell Wilson went 11-19 in his tenure in Denver with zero division titles and no playoff appearances. He was benched this past season and now the Broncos don't want him anymore.
good thing the nfl is played 11 on 11 and hes 35 years old, there was a time from 2016/2020 where he carried bottom 5 rosters to 12 win seasons, now he needs a little bit of help to win just like brady, rodgers, favre, peyton and every old head that switched teams late in their career. He got benched for having 29 TDs, 8 INTS, 100 passer rating and was the teams 2nd leading rusher Lol.
