Alot of people will review an item and remain nuetral or just share info and not their personal opinion which seems pointless to me. So im glad to see your transparency with the item
So, first thanks for detailed content, I have a Dell laptop for work and was looking for something to work on my personal projects (writing books/journals) do you recommend the following specs, or would I need more memory? It's a gateway and cost $179.00-Memory:4 GB Memory (RAM), Storage:128 GB eMMC Storage, Operating System: ChromeOS
So, in my opinion, I'm not too thrilled about 4 GB of RAM; however, for work such as writing, that should be fine. I'm assuming this is the Gateway 15" Intel Pentium Chromebook? Storage should be good for you, and I believe it comes with expandable storage as well, so that's an upside. However, I want to ask what programs you use for your writing. Microsoft word, google doc?
@@psalmistpro2554 -yes expandable storage/Gateway 15' Intel Pentium Chromebook and I currently use Microsoft word (paid for subscription 3 months ago and can add up to 5 devices). Thanks so much responding to me.
Don't know why it shows your response so late. I assume you already made your selection. However, the desktop version of Microsoft word does not run on Chrome OS devices by default. It may work if you purchase crossover software that allows you to run some Microsoft applications. However, you can access the web version of word.
