Then they claim the 2nd amendment as why they must have guns, which really refers to what we now call the National Guard. It was never meant for people to run around armed all over the place. It was meant as a supplemental force for the military, because the USA had a small population and small military at the time. The country was fighting European countries to maintain its independence - England, France, Spain, which had large populations / military strengrh.

Because of the gun deaths in the us, deaths caused by an ar15 make up less than 1% of all shootings. Of the 40,000 deaths in 2022 less than 300 had an ar or ak used. The majority of gun crime is handguns. Of the 40,000 gun deaths over 20,000 of them were suicides. Guns aren't a problem.

The police had a gun amnesty. 650,000 weapons were handed in to be destroyed. In America they sell that many guns after a shooting. America has a unique relationship with guns. Availability of guns and mentally ill aspect is of course is one of the issues.

This is a uniquely “American” problem. Don’t try to drag the rest of the world down with it. America is the only developed country where this happens regularly. Also, the majority of gun deaths aren’t caused by people defending themselves. The majority of gun deaths are suicides followed by murders.

There’s a lot of questions, the crime scenes were not well cared for and were contaminated during the early investigations. Edit: if you want you can ask me I have read a lot into this case and have seen crime scene photos. Now Masskillers on Reddit had pictures and will tell you were the sources are. These include blood crime scene pictures, one staff member’s dead body, etc they also show police reports and other evidence. You will see gore especially the crime scenes on Nancy Lanza’s bloody bed and pictures of her dead body under the sheets. They also will show you the pictures of gray matter from the victims and Lanza. This isn’t made up to turn people against those with autism, it’s just someone who was unstable allowed to have a gun and wasn’t given the care he needed. If you look into further details about Adam Lanza it is clear his mother enabled him and did not help him overcome any of obstacles he had in life. Some people also aren’t stable enough to have firearms and Lanza was one of those people. If you look into it a lot of blame also is directed to Nancy for not properly caring for her son. Autism does need to be addressed in shootings too and that being that the shooter’s weren’t properly cared for in most of these cases. They had red flags and shouldn’t have been allowed gun when they were clearly unstable. There should be more of a discussion on how to properly helped those who suffer from mental illnesses.

I however think the message that this is an uniquely American problem is very much bs Other countries have the same problem, like Japan where the kids use knives and In Japan the kids who murder don't even go to prison for more than a few months, it happens in south America, in Africa, many places. It's terrible, but it's not a gun issue

Why do people think this is a made up crime? Why this particular shooting? But not others?

@@NannupTiger unfortunately, if you look... A lot of big terrible events are very popular for conspiracy theories. I've seen conspiracies for a lot of school shootings. Plus the more publicity an event gets, the easier it is for people to pick apart. And people hit with grief react badly different so it's easy to call it acting. However this one had such a push for gun control that it gave a "reason" for people to dig in and rip apart people going through raw emotions for not reacting the right way.
