Its no more a mystery. Its a shame that politics and favouritism is so openly applied by bcci. It discourages a whole generation of youngsters who follow him and support him.
Who said to you that there is favoritism & politics?? Selectors Coaches & Captain together decides on the selection based on various factors such as team combination, skills based such as Wicket keeper batsman, All rounders, Openers, Middle order, lower order etc. Also the venue of the upcoming series as well as the players who completely fits into the team mix as per the decided winning strategy only gets its name in the list.. tough decisions are ought to be taken!! Ultimately its not an individual but a team who are prepared to conquest the upcoming tournaments in the near future. Out of these players some will be able to perform while some will surely struggle. So, new opportunities will again emerge for the left out players to get in and out of form players to be left out. This is a cycle that's continuous..There will be opportunities every time a new selection is made..So stop making these worthless allegations and crying for so called justice when there is nothing like injustice going on..its a process that'd never cease to exist.

I think Sanju Samson is technically an excellent cricketer who plays according to the situation. He is a class player and is perfectly suited for all forms of cricket, whether it is T20 or ODI or Test Match. He is a bold and aggressive player who plays for the team unlike some players who accumulate runs aiming for personal milestones. Sanju's strokeplay is far better than that of many top batsmen in the present Indian team. Samson has got the calibre, technique and skill and he can be a game changer. Sanju had some problems with his form sometime back. But he is a class player. Form is temporary but class is permanent. In my opinion, Samson should be a permanent member in the Indian team for the next 5 years.
If Sanju Samson gets consistent run in Indian Team , it will end careers of PR driven underperforming players like Pant, Rahul, Gill !! Also, popularity of Sanju makes people like Dhoni and Rohit insecure!
Rishab Pant is the only player who has played in every batting position in T20 and has performed rarely.Ridiculus no player has got this much opportunity
No doubt Pant is an extremely talented player but his scores in recently concluded World cup are not good. He gets an extended period of time to prove his consistency. The same should be done for other players too before dropping them by looking at 1 or 2 games. You can't be partial.
ODIs are clearly Sanju Samson's best format. His average is some 20 runs higher than Rishab and he has an excellent SR also. Yes, Sanju and Rishab should both be on the team, but the selection of others including and especially Dube is beyond shocking. Sanju Samson and Ruturaj Gaikwad are the two best batters in theory for India's ODI team with the exception of Virat at his prime and Rohit as opener. This is gross INJUSTICE and VERY BAD for the National Sprit of India if indeed India deems that KERALA is part of the country!!

We have better players than Gill in T20s, but still Gill is VC. Similarly Sanju ignored in ODIs he is good middle order batter but KL & Shreyas selected ahead of him 😢

ODI mey Rishabh Pant Sanju Samson se kaise aage hey? Iska answer koi de, KL Rahul ka selection samajh mey aatha hey Rishabh ka nahi. Favouritism ka ek prime example hey Rishabh ka ODI mey selection😢
Pant lucky.if you can recall Buttler missed a easy stumping in the beginning of his innings that helped him to score a century in England with the support of Hardik.After that he had poor odi T20 series in NZ.Then the accident occurred.Yes he came back to cricket kudos.But he is a privilleged player no doubt unlike Sanju.
Sanju Samson has been selected for 20-20 and his main duty will be being waterboy and replace a fielder for 10 minutes here and there. This is what power and politics can do to a player.

Just 1 good innings.whats his average. Even in the innings you mentioned butler dropped a catch or missed the stumping of pant . After that he was injured and how can he comeback without proving his form.Didnt perform against Aus, Eng,Sa even in this T20 wc.still he is in T20 squad for srilanka.
Firstly, Sanju also has only one century or good innings. Secondly, the question should be why riyan parag and dune are in odi team ahead of Sanju. Rishabh has in the last three years has won matches which some great players couldn't do in their entire career. Like i said the question should be why riyan parag and dube are in odi team when they have performed in ipl no list A. These questions should actually be posed to Rohit and gambhir because they select only people they believe in.
Sanju should be there in place of KL or Pant in ODI or T20I . KL has better skills but in the high pressure situation he looks extremely naive/vulnarable. KL should be considered only for Tests or back up of Sanju / Pant in ODI / T20I .
Any employee who works under a management who always downgrade and lacks support upon the candidate potential will be always in pressure and taruma. For them its very hard to perform well. Scenario can be same in any work you intend to pick. Hats off to sanju samson whos handling that pressure and still in that ignorant work atmosphere to get his spot to perform. He is definitely performing in IPL but, not consistently in bigger international fixtures as evident from recently concluded India- Srilanka T 20 3 match series.
This is not the first time cricketers from kerala have been dropped or tortured mentally. If this continues, it's better to move from India and play for some other countries, where they give due respect for performing sportsmen.

Dhoni also waited long for selection but he got chance he played impactful innings entire coach captain bcci dont want sanju as he is not poster boy like gill but better player if he need to get selection he need to do 10 x of his peers like pant just like dhoni played innings against pak and srilanka dhoni was lucky to be backed by saurav Sanju got just once chance to play warm up against bangladesh and he opened he wasted that opportunity and captain got opportunity to ignore him.Sanju to be there aginst coach captain bcci wishes has to improve more on power hitting and start playing impactful innings in ipl.Its just reality Sanjus criteria for selection is 10x of his peers like Gill and Pant and this is politics and favoritsm which will never go in indian cricket
