so many people were saying this talking about 73 yards. I really liked Clyde's performance in this one. Liked that Sky knew something had gone wrong, and that they also used it as a way to talk about homeless people, and how Clyde's experience makes him revise his opinions (I guess although he calls Ellie a "scrounger" at the start, he does also say that it might not be their fault)
When I saw this, I actually thought for sure it was essentially a proof of concept for giving Clyde his own spinoff after SJA ended. He does such an amazing job!
Perhaps the darkest and most disturbing episode of SJA, with Daniel Anthony’s superb performance (his best, in my view) really selling Clyde’s horrible predicament. It is the speed with which he hits rock bottom that is so horrifying, and in a way the story prefigures social media cancel culture - if made now, it would probably be interpreted as a commentary on that.
Great episode, certainly one of the very strongest, although they are all very good. Daniel Anthony showcases his acting skills well here and you really do feel sad for him. Everyone's hate for him is really rather nasty.
I think in most people's opinion this is the best SJA story. Part 2 has an even sadder moment. I seem to remember at the time Phil Ford got a BAFTA for it.
I remember this one now it's the best one of this last season yes I think skye came too late before end of the series so didn't get a full character arc like clyde or rani who seem older than school kids now
I didn’t really like this story when I was younger but it’s aged well on me. Could be the best of s5, although this is my least favourite series of the 5.
