the saturday I didn’t know I needed 

Since I lost my husband almost 4 months ago, I find that weekends are the WORST. I just have the biggest sense of emptiness and feel the void even more then. The weekend was our time to decompress and just genuinely enjoy each other's company. We would go out for coffee, wander aimlessly around Target, buying so many random things that we didn't even really need, and just relax together. To suddenly have my best friend and soulmate of 22 years so suddenly plucked from my life with absolutely no warning at the end of June has just completely shattered me. If it wasn't for my friends and my family, I don't know where I'd be right now. I'm sure I'd be MUCH worse off than I am right now, but it's still so hard. I still cry almost every single day. I'm sure it will get easier in time, but I will always love and miss him.

I hope you’re living the best days of your life. All the sadness and stress we may be dealing in our lives are just temporary. In due time, we will feel better about ourselves and continue to move forward for our own sake. May God bless you.

Thanks for sharing your journey. :) Grief has no timeline. I get sad and teary eyed randomly when I remember I do not get to know my mother in law better, or that she never got to love my little ones. I know she is so happy for us in heaven.
