wow... as a citizen of Cavan i can proudly say... its a spot on impression, going outside just plain terrifies me :D

I'm from Cavan and I pissed meself laughing at this, its exactly how we go on.

My boyfriend's mam is from Cavan and apparently his uncle genuinely goes around with twine holding up his trousers instead of a belt and straw and paper in his boots instead of thick socks.....

@mathsprofessional I never heard of this before, so i did a Google search. Apparently the KKK has either Scottish or Scot-Irish roots, neither of which are Irish. Another clue is that they got their Cross burning tradition from Scotland, and hated Catholics, which the majority of Irish people were at the time.

I'm proudly of Irish descent (County Cork) and I am by no means racist. You cannot put everyone of a single race in a category. I try to treat everyone with respect and on an individual basis. There are good and bad in all races.

No where not entierelty. Most of the west coast population galway etc are 90 percent Basque Northern Spanish. Most of the east coast are of Viking and Norman Descent. 3 Million of Us have Basque Dna while the other 2 or so million are Norman and Viking. We never had huge amounts Celtic ancestors we adopted Celtic culture. And became Culturaly Cetlic see there is no Cetlic race Celtic is just a culture.
