Hahahah I see where it gets the name. I think everyone that enjoys a fire should get themselves a twig stove. Packs well, can't go wrong, have a great day Tim.

It's just so handy if you don't want lots of mess to clean up afterwards. They don't weigh much either. Thanks for watching Dan.

Very nice! I’ ve been using my Savotta Big Bad stove for over one year now, and couldnt be happier. Im taking it out again today for a fishing trip! Thanx for the video!

Yes I have seen a lot of your big bad stove. Don't you have a happy one too? Not sure if I remember that right. Grumpy certainly suits my mood more in the morning.

@@KuukkeliBushcraft I have only the big bad stove, though a friend if mine has the happy one, which ive tried. Have to say I trust the Savotta products a lot (though a bit pricy). They made the definite larger bacpacks (rinkka) in the 80s and 90s. Still have one, and it works.

@@OldForestBushcraft the backpacks certainly are pricy. You do often get what you pay for through.

I think savotta also has happy stove. Looks like this works well

Yes but I don't want a happy face looking at me while I am making my morning coffee 😂. I am sure they both work well, Realistically a tin can full of holes does the job. Nice to have something that packs flat though. Thanks for watching mate.

Hey Tim bro ! It sounds and looks like top kit mate !! It looks like even a cack fisted dolt like me could set that stove up !! lol Perfect little stove for a brew or a main meal ! Clever idea about the smouldering shrooms.. I'm not a fan of the 'skeeters !' lol I got bitten alive by them in Australia.. there was a repellent spray back then called 'Rid 1000' (something like that) ..what they failed to point out was that the other 10,000,000 mossies it didn't repel were airborne nibbling specialists !! lol
@KuukkeliBushcraft
@KuukkeliBushcraft Год назад
The good thing about the mozzies is that they keep people away😂. Some of those creatures are even more annoying and you get into trouble if you squish them. Thankfully up here they don't carry any diseases and we don't have anything poisonous. The most northern population of poisonous snake in the world is actually just south of here in the national park (adders). Thanks for watching mate.

Nice to see product that's quality made and local to where you live, supporting local business is very important and I always try to do so whenever I can. That looked like you using a Joker Nomad in the video? If so, it's a great knife and I have one as well. Thanks for sharing and Cheers!
@KuukkeliBushcraft
@KuukkeliBushcraft Год назад
Yes that will have been the Joker Nomad. Absolute tank of a knife. Unfortunately not quite as local as the stove. Thanks for watching mate.

"Swedish" torch?!? Don't you mean, "Finnish" torch??? Lol! 😉 I love my firebox, altho it weighs a tonne... But I like that it unfolds and when it's c-c-c-cold I can just kinda flop it about and hey, presto! it's set up! But that looks like a great little stove. I actually tried ordering one once from there but they don't ship them to Canada... 🤷 Great video! (The Nomad is awesome, istn it?) 👍🏻🇨🇦
@KuukkeliBushcraft
@KuukkeliBushcraft Год назад
Yes mate, the Nomad is awesome. Did you try Lamnia.fi? They are generally pretty good on international shipping. Keep on hearing about problems getting things shipped to Canada from Finland. Seems very strange. Thanks for watching buddy.

Thank you very much mate. There are several ways of using a ferro rod and I wouldn't say that there is any right or wrong but 9 times out of 10 for me having the striker on or even in the tinder works best.

I like the grumpy stove that's cool. The happy stove would irritate me first thing in the morning.😂 my uber leben is Neutral lol.

Nothing more irrigating than cheerfulness in the morning. Even Unni knows not to wag her tail at me until I have had at least 3 coffees. Thanks for watching brother.
@FerndaleMichiganUSA
@FerndaleMichiganUSA Год назад
Hey Tim. Looks like you lost your snow. Fun video with Unni lurking in the background. I try to burn on rocks too. Did the stove leave a scorch mark on the rock? Good to see you keeping busy. The professionals always make it look easy. Be well!
@KuukkeliBushcraft
@KuukkeliBushcraft Год назад
Lurking, just waiting for food or something to chase😂. No scorch marks on the rocks, just a bit of ash. The thing is the top layer of ground is generally thin but peaty here. Everything burns. Thankfully it is generally to wet for it to spread but really nice to avoid having to remove the peat and vegetation, tidy up ash and remains and then put everything back. A lot of hassle if you just want a coffee 😂. First spark, that normally never happens when I am filming. Taught one of our guides to use flint and steel yesterday, ember straight away, tinder bundle went up like an atom bomb. That never happens on camera. A bit like catching fish.

And that it's not super expensive 😂. Maybe we can compete with China after all. Thanks for watching Trev.
