The SC - Power of the Pecron and PSM's! 

your own in ears is such an awesome upgrade. not only does it make you better and more efficiant to isolate any problems during the show and allow for silent sound checks but it also just makes it way more fun when you are out in the room no a tablet. you wont know how you ever did it without it soon congrats on the upgrades! mix sounded good at the end in what would be a challenging room with lots of hard surfaces.

The PSM300’s are by far the best bang for buck! Love them! When dealing with more than 3 or 4 of the Shure PSM 300’s it’s really ideal to be using a PSM combiner. This will help greatly with performance. If that’s not an option, then at least get the 1/2 wave antennas. The little 1/4 wave are not great at all and just the small upgrade to 1/2 wave will be a night and day difference.

It is always good to see another video from The Sound Couple appear on RU-vid. This is a Gig Log at a familiar church auction event featuring an equally familiar band. The video focuses on several new strategies: • Use of PSM300 in-ear system for mixing front of house along with other possible uses • Use of Pecron E3000 unit to supply power to some equipment in order to ease set-up • Use of the Galaxy Audio Cricket for line checks and, when needed, polarity confirmation • Use of new Chauvet lights on the backline • Use of dual Panel Lights as front lighting. • Use of wireless router at the speakers to distribute signal from the main rack and make use of the Worx Speaker Management Software • Relocation of the wireless mics and in-ear for the horns to minimize rf issues As always, I enjoy watching the load-in, set-up, and load-out. Lots to learn from observing Bart and Stacy at work. And, it was interesting to see the new rear bumper on the van up close. The line check and channel settings went very well because of the use of the new in-ear monitoring equipment. Application of the various pieces of new equipment and new strategies resulted in a much better organized performance area. Thanks to Bart and Stacy for another very instructive video.

The Pecron will eliminate 400 foot rolls of extension cord (previous video), and the PSMs look like a work in progress. So glad you two are looking at upgrading equipment a few times a year. Thanks again!

Hey Guys!! I'd love for you to do a video of general eq ideas for instruments and vocals. I'd love to hear Barts thoughts process many eqing channels and foh mains for rooms/venues. I know it would be generalised but it would help the likes of me so much! And also, many Bart talking about what he looks for in speakers, for example woofer size, horn dispersen and compression driver size. I love your channel guys, and can't wait for the next video! Hope all is well!

If only all load-ins were that nice. I had both extremes this weekend... One gig was in a small community hall that was down a cobbled alleyway, into a venue that meant hand-carrying all the gear up the stairs, and back out at the end of the night... To add further insult to injury, I got a parking ticket for being parked in a loading bay, even though I was loading...go figure. Last night's gig was awesome, there were fire exit doors right next to the stage, and I was able to back my van right up to them. The gear needed to be moved less than 10feet between the venue and the van. Wireless in-ears are something I'm looking to add to my rig in the near future, though a wireless microphone upgrade is going to be first. There's nothing inherently wrong with the microphones I have, but they're getting old and I think the time has come where I really should get something to replace them.

I really enjoyed the video; I would be concerned about feedback and echoing/reverberation with all those wall surfaces. Great job as always.

I've moved my 32R and all the gear with it, out of a 6U SKB shallow rack, and into a 12U standard rack. Oddly, it isn't much heavier, but serup/teardown is so much faster!

Hi team ..reaching out from the Caribbean...you continue to provide such a wide scope of sound engineering and digital sound system setup that even the experience can learn from your walkthroughs...I just have a simple question..what are the steps you follow in setting you system for a band...for example...do you set mains first..then monitors..them mics..can you walkthrough your steps that will consume the least of time and most efficient before song check? People think I'm silly because I use 3 pecron to power my DJ System. I use 1 Pecron 1500WH and 2 600WH. 😊

Awesome as always…is your router rack mounted?? If so, which model is it?

i suggest you run shure wireless work bench or Sennheiser WSN. these allow you to do an actual scan and see what is happening in the spectrum and avoid the congested areas. both a free you just need to connect a wireless mic reciever to your laptop via ethernet and run the scan then you can choose you frequencies more deliberatly than the reciever does on its own

I would get the PA411 combiner, and at least a 1/2 wave antenna. I use the 411 with a 860 antenna for my PSM900. works great. With the 411 you are stuck with 4 PSM channels though. If they need to expand they could go with the 821 (allthough expensive).

Hi sound couple, I wanted to ask what your personal thoughts were when it came to the speakers that y'all are using, the CDL12's. I am interested in the speaker but haven't been able to find them around my area. Therefore, I was wondering if you could perhaps possibly compare them to something more commercially available speaker like the JBL, QSC speakers. Does the CDL's sounds louder, clearer, do they hold up better, and overall pushed you to choose the CDL's over the others, and would you change them? I know the response can be very subjective but it would be great to hear about how you came to pick your speakers. Thank you.
