Can you guess most of these 80 video games ? you will have 15 second to guess each of them. Don't forget to check out the newest quiz • Video game music quiz 2 #gaming #music #soundtrack #videogamequiz #quiz #comepetition
me getting shit like the tf2 theme just from the ticking clock, BFG division in literally the 1st note, but then sitting there clueless on others for the whole 15 seconds lol
And that's what's great about this quiz. That the author made an effort to make it original. Do you like it when every damn quiz has the same songs? Then what's the point.
here's your daily dose of "um achyually" that HL2 track you used is actually from the first half life, it's a song titled Hazardous Environment and it plays in a section where you come out of a sewer pipe out onto a cliffside
@@user-xy1ru4zy2t I would concider less than 22 people working on the first game as pretty indie. And this is 22 people working over stuff like zoom calls mind you. They prob have never even met in person before making the game.
@@user-xy1ru4zy2t And also, once you start designing video games, you really start to appreciate the amount of work put into Will of the Wisps. Sure you can argue hollow knight has a nice aesthetic(It does) but most of the shading done is relatively simple.( In blind forest, 10 artists had to color each individual asset by hand) And unlike blind forest, Will of the Wisps has relatively lossless quality. What I mean is, if you look closely at Blind forest, you can easily tell the stuff was drawn by hand, aka smudging lines and blurry edges. At first, I assumed Will of the Wisps was actually done using 3d assets, but looking more closely, the madlads at moon studios had basically drawn every single asset down a pixel basis. Of course, there are some uhhh, controversies about this.
@@TacticalPhoenixYT Nope, It's 3D. They use a software like 3D coat or substance painter to paint textures on their assets, with a "2d" render. Like for Hades. So there is quite a bit of "by hand" texturing work, but the assets are really in 3D, unlike Rayman Origins or Hollow Knight for exemple. (I'm a 3D artist so I know my subject)
@@Wole58 well yeah, some assets are, but others are still 2d sprites if you go into unity viewer. The foliage for example, is almost all exclusively 2d
Technically the Mortal Kombat theme wasn’t in any of the games, it’s first appearance in an actual video game was Just Shapes and Beats, the rhythmic bullet hell
the guy literally used a song legends never die for league of legends cinematic. it would atleast be closer if he used Enemy cuz that one actually ties into the game with it as Arcane series intro
I mean if ALL of these are very famous i guess i learned one thing about myself: i don't play games just because are popular in the moment, cause i never even heard of half of these and only played like 20 of them in total lmfao
When I got to DS3's song (which I havn't played yet), I thought it sounded a ton like Dark Souls, but I thought it felt a little too hopeful and majestic in a way and didn't fit the tone of the game. Makes sense its a sequel since it has the same style and feel, yet gives off different tone and mood. I wonder if this gives me a hint what to expect story wise somehow.
Ds3 def shouldn't be hopeful at all, for the most part. It's the call of the end brought in by the greed of the gods. But there still is a note of hope, depending in the ending you get and on the cinclusuon if the dlcs
despite never playing the game, i was able to get Civilizations VI because of my extreme love for Sogno di Volare. has to be one of the best game soundtracks out there.
I agree with the other comments, this is a refreshing list of games... maybe a little too refreshing? There are lots of great games from 1985-2005 that aren't just the typical Nintendo games (DOOM and Diablo were great inclusions!) I won't be as rude about all the newer indie games on the list as another commenter was about the classics, but this quiz was pretty heavy in that area and I found myself wanting a bone thrown my way, as I don't get to play as many games these days as I used to. Great job!
I selected this list mainly based on my preferences and then we agreed with one of my friends on the rest. I include a lot of indie games, because I believe they deserve recognition. Thanks for the support.
Among Us has a remix doom doesn't have an original track, but a rebuild diablo has a track from the second, not the first part silksong does not exist)
Damn, the 15 first ost made me think "Finally, someone who diversify way more than the other VG BT that i listened on YT", but i was flabbergasted when u put GRIME main theme, i swear we're 5 on this planet to know this game (and he deserve way more visibility)
3:19 I am SHOCKED beyond my mind that I heard this and my brain instantly recognized what game franchise this track was from. I haven't played that game (or more specifically, its sequel) in at least twelve years when I was still a little kid. I'm just in awe
Really good quiz with a great mix of games. Getting tired of these quizzes that is oversaturated with Mario, zelda and rabbids over and over. Please make more! ❤
yeah. Yeah I fucking know the skyrim theme. Everybody knows the skyrim theme. Those quizzes always have the same songs everybody knows and then they suddenly drift into obscurity to make it hard.
Literally every single Halo game has some iconic track, Halo 1 has on a pale horse, Halo 2 has kilindini harbor, Halo 3 has a finish the fight, Halo 4 has 117, Halo 5 has a walk softly, even Halo Wars has just ad nauseam, everyone has a story to tell
I have never seen one of these videos include Life Is Strange, Oxenfree, Inscryption or Little Nightmares! I was so impressed by this, please make more!
This was easily the best one of these out there! Loved the HK tracks and was so happy to see Satisfactory and Spiritfarer! Awesome music in both. I got 34!
Jesus my man, I really enjoy consuming this kind of content and I needlessly have to say, you've outdone yourself. It;'s the best of kind, literally the best video with soundtrack that I encountered, it was fun, and with new kind of games, without any kind of bullshitting, old ass retro games that nobody knows or Nintendo. Keep it u I really wish for you to continue making this kind of videos, since you’re the best of creators when it comes to this state. Hope the best for you and your loved ones.
Thank you! This was exactly my intention. I was watching few of those videos with my friends and we all agreed that they could be done in a better way. I even hosted a contest on our discord server and the whole thing was really nice to make. I plan to continue this series as I see the positive feedback. so stay tuned for more!
1. wtf was that choice of song for wow not even near as noticable as the login music whilst every other game had their main song. and 2.... No halo!? how the fuck do you miss out on the goat? other than that, great video, very well done.
The lack of Japanese originated games is actually insane man. This is pretty much objectively a Western Video Game Music Quiz, i mean there are pretty amazing games shoved in here but cmon man
@@Nugget47891 Definitely in 1, I don't recall for 2 though. It doesn't play when you get your HEV suit, it plays when you crawl out of that tunnel in surface tension and end up on the cliffside.
@@Arixen yeah, I did enjoy the quiz though. I like how it was quite original and played a variety of games. Like the other guy was saying in the comments, this has a good balance of games and not loaded with nintendo.
