I saw the Hat Man in 1998. I wasn't in bed. I was walking down the stairs. Oh, and I never take Benadryl.

My mom tried to make me feel better once by telling me that shadow people were more afraid of us than we were of them. When I said, "Oh, like spiders?" She said "No, no, most spiders are harmless. Shadow people will suck the living soul from your body if they get the chance." Well, at least I got over my fear of spiders. Thanks mom!

I saw the hat man standing behind me in the mirror when I stood up to turn off our tv. That was in the 80s. I woke up the whole house because I thought someone broke in. I wasn't taking any medicine and I hadn't gone to bed yet.

Hello I am a shadow person and I like your video about my people thank you.

The one I saw back in 2021 was during Summer while exercising outside I saw a human shaped shadow running in the woods. At first I thought maybe it was my imagination but my dog started barking at the shadowy figure. I live in the countryside & there's been a lot of things kind of paranormal activity. One time in Winter at 3:30am I saw blue lights in the woods through my window, the only reason I didn't go investigate was because it was freezing & the fog too dense though if I had gotten up I would've been packing heat.

When we were little, my older brother used to sleep in my room, he did this until we moved to a new house. I thought it was because I had a bigger bed than him and he just wanted to hang out. 3 decades later we were drinking together and he told me it was because he would see shadow people in his room. He is a very grounded person and never really made up stuff. He said he only saw them in that room and once we moved he didn't see them again.

I have dealt with sleep paralysis and 'hag' dreams for 30 years. sometimes only once a year and during several points every night if not multiple times a night. Some say its due to stress but I wasn't always stressed. whatever it is and despite the feeling I do believe 100% its dreams not some entity or aliens. It is a horrible sensation with it so I get the supernatural angle however, on many occasions I had rearranged my room or moved or new furniture, etc. In my dream for example the chair I moved 2 days before will be in the room..but its not really there, my brain remembers it was there so therefore its a dream I'm not really awake. the dreams are still traumatic and I've found some superstitions keep them at bay, but I think I'm just appeasing my subconscious which is what's causing it.

Holloween Hype

I was about 6 yrs old maybe close to 7. I remember playing a 45 of rubber ducky you're the one at that time, Sesame Street in my room. Just a memory I associate with what happened. We had a split level home. I was in bed for the night top floor and I saw this man at the foot of my bed post right side corner standing tall with a wide brimmed hat and long trench coat. I saw his hands which looked like long decreped(sp) fingers resting by his side. I read another post about a pocket watch which is triggering me but i cant really remember for sure. I didnt see the eyes, it was a semi side profile just slightly turned. I was terrified and completely paralyzed drenched in sweat. Closed my eyes praying for him to go away. I gathered up the courage to peek and he had left. I screamed for my mother. She called the police because of my reaction. Thought there was an intruder in the house. Who is this guy and what is his purpose? This has been bothering me lately. 40 some years later. Strange how I've forgotten/past it off all these years. Im really wanting other people's point of view as to what this could mean as I'm looking for an explanation. Why me? Now I find it's us. There's got to be a connection. I have not seen him since.

I suffered from sleep paralysis all my life. The Nytol (UK) thing I can attest to as real. I once took 2 "one a nights" not realising they were twice the strength of the typical ones. Oh boy, the only way I can describe the experience is the most real trip down into hell I have ever experienced. It makes you question how we experience reality in general since this was no different to a waking experience. Also I'd like to say you shouldn't confuse night terrors with sleep paralysis, they're entirely different in realism and the fear they instill.

Shadow people do exist. I have seen them before. I used to work at a restaurant in an old hotel as a dishwasher. I was always the last one to leave around 0200 and there would be a shadow man who would watch me close. He was darker than the dark if that makes sense. He was just a ghost so they can't hurt you but he would always seem to notice me when I would look at him and he would walk through a wall.

My cousin used to see him when he was on depakote for his schizophrenia. He also used to see all kinds of stuff though. That's not to say he wasn't really seeing something. It's all spirits.

I took around 30 Benadryls after getting an allergy test done because I just kept taking it every 3 minutes until I stopped itching and I didn’t see no hat guy I just saw dust spiders falling from the ceiling and running up to me. Kind of like a static dust monster. Maybe I did see the guy but he just looked like a dusty dude to me.

My mother saw the hat man in the 60s.

Finally saw the hat man. Didn't scare me... I watched him for hours. It was just my curtain and a shelf outside the curtain when it was open a tiny bit but looked like a man wearing a hat. Someone told me it was the hat man. Yep, I'm addicted to dyphenhydramine to sleep.

I thought I was looking at a witch… My sophomore year was pretty embarrassing. Robotripping and swallowing handfuls of Benadryl to trip. It’s a wonder my liver is still intact.

I see shadows all the time. You're not supposed to say this cause they don't know you see them but if they find out they will approach you and try to interact with you which will scare you. I'm far enough in my research that it's okay I am familiar with it but be careful.

Fucking damn it, why did you bring this back to the forefront of my mind. I've had just the sleep paralysis before, but not the last one I had not long ago. I forgot what brought it up in conversation with my mom but this instance I felt something, and it got its face to mine. The ones prior I simply went through it or was irritated enough to get out of it, this one started with confusion to fear to anger. Not exactly anger but the fight of the fight/flight response and I shot up. Mom said it was good I fought it off and cleansed my apartment unit, but damn it with this fucking timing.
