I think it is safe to say that 2020 rocked our world. Even just focusing in on Cerner, we have experienced organization and process changes that are changing how we work. My 2020 meant taking on a new role and new products, and if I'm honest, a lot of new found doubt. Doubt in myself and the knowledge I have acquired over the last 9 years of my career.
I went from feeling confident I had the answers to having to admit more than once a day - I don't know. It was paralyzing to my self confidence and to my performance. Not happy with how I was feeling, I set out to learn if there is any power behind admitting proudly that I don't know.
In this talk I will walk through why those three words are so scary and why they don't have to be. I will outline productive ways to embrace the unknown, including how to channel our inner dialogue to work in our favor, and how to move past the doubt and into action with a change in our thinking styles and by refreshing our sense of curiosity.
