Rick, if you ever get Brewer back on, you have to ask him about that deal at Bristol when he kicked Pat Tryson off the pit box of the 7 car at Bristol with Bodine. Also, how about an interview with Eli Gold or Allen Bestwick or Jim Phillips

Love the Scene Vault podcast. Outstanding. Feel like I’m reliving our glory days in NASCAR. We’ve watched Larry and Tim interviews. A lot to catch up with. I’ll watch Johnnys and Robert’s podcast soon. I’ve ate at Robert’s hot dog stand by accident driving through Asheville about 10 yrs ago and he checked me out, made my hot dogs then gave it to me and said have a great day in the famous Robert Presley voice. It was a nice surprise.

Robert left out a piece of him and Trickle colliding under that yellow. The last time I saw Dick I asked him about it. He said that Robert pulled along side of him for the restart and waved at him, making a gesture like he had a ball in his hand and was squeezing it (attempting to signal a flat tire) but he never pointed at his own or Trickle's car. So a minute or 2 later, Pressley does it again. Dick thinks Robert is telling him he has a flat when Pressley is asking him to check his car for the flat so swerves the car to double check it, at the exact same time Pressley does it for Dick to check his. LOL He ended the story with, "only time in all my years of racing I wrecked while idling along, 2/3rds of a lap before the green".

@@TheSceneVault Im sorry to hear that, but maybe he will agree to an interview some day! I grew up in NC during the 90s and loved that era of NASCAR but always wondered about the 70-80s. Older races and interviews were harder to find back then before RU-vid. Thank you for your dedication to documenting NASCAR's history.

@lescook9021
@lescook9021 Месяц назад
Smokey always thought he was the smartest guy in the room, Brewer thinks he's the smartest guy in the room. That's probably why Brewer made the face and half comment he made. Short version, clash of egos
