January 11 I Senator Sheldon Whitehouse delivered the eleventh in a series of speeches titled, “The Scheme,” exposing the scheme by right-wing donor interests to capture the U.S. Supreme Court and achieve through the Court’s power what they cannot through other branches of government.

The Staff is frequently overlooked. They can have profound influence for good or evil. They are often the breeding ground for future legislators and should not be as anonymous as they are. This is particularly so with the Supreme Court.

Although I realise this isn't the purpose of posting these clips, but as a UK resident I find Sen. Whitehouse's speeches on The Scheme to be an excellent summary of how the system is broken. He speaks clearly, covers the issues and uses plain language without dumbing it down. I wish that more politicians in both Washington and in London resembled this approach. Addressing subjects using facts and evidence based conclusions rather than trying to drive a knee-jerk emotional response is a much more civilised way to debate in a political arena.

All the way from across the Globe I have been watching this saga unfold. With each “episode” my admiration for Sen Whitehouse grows. A most remarkable man, with such succinct, clear, highly intelligent summations of the broken court system and corrupt dark money. But as a foreigner, I am utterly astounded that this corruption is allowed to continue with the full knowledge of the powers in being. How is it possible? What hope is there for less sophisticated, developed countries?

@@alyxcoe2608 Operation Ghost Stories should give you an idea of what the DOJ may have been doing for longer than the public will know until all of this information is disclosed. I imagine they've been busy using the tools and authority to map out bad actors for some time now. This is certainly related to the events that lead up to J6 so foreign agents will be a part of the money making scheme to corrupt the courts. This operation to subvert democracy using dark money channels is a global operation spear headed by Aleksandr Dugin and allies in his Eurasian movement. Every single Right-wing Conservative in the world has been infiltrated in the same way the GOP has been infiltrated. This also means there is a global effort with other intelligence agencies to map out ALL bad actors.

All the justices who approved Citizens United in 2010, and similar law in 70’s, are traitors to the Constitutional democracy - a government, by the U.S. Constitution, that is a broad republic for all citizens, and NOT a government for a small group of right-wing billionaires that can now legally buy off politicians to have all law made for their benefit, while turning this government from a democracy into an authoritarian fascist government that will benefit those right-wing billionaires and corporations exclusively. When the Supreme Court blew life into Citizens United, it was the last year the GOP in particular, and corporate Democrats, worked for the country’s broad citizenry and Constitutional republic of the people, by the people, and for the people.

I have followed senator Whitehouse presentation all along. Having grown up in the most bottom up democracy in the world Switzerland 🇨🇭 the sense that one gets is rather frightening and behind pale. Very unlikely will the train in the direction it is heading be stopped or heaven forbid reversed. Not inconceivable that it will blow as shurly it will, no sense reading the tea leaves in this case. A complete cleansing will be necessary but not without the involment of the whole nation. I get goosebumps just thinking about it. Unfortunately the division in the nation are just to deep.

It's fair that a few oligarchs rule 300M citizens. The citizens of France had a solution for their oligarch problems, in 1789, when King Louis XVI and his royal court, received the justice of the people.

@@sempressfi Data from 2014 shows that American voters have LESS representation than voters living in an oligarchy. Based on public voting records of Representatives here is the order of importance: 1. Wealthy 10% 2. Corporations 3. Special Interests 4. The American people The voice of the American people has little to no affect on how representatives vote. This is cronyism. This type "democracy" is the same model Sir Lanka used that lead to it's collapse. Unqualified cronies enriching their lives and the lives of "friends" while ignoring the population. With unsustainable welfare for the wealthy and a population where the wage could no longer cover the cost of living, Sir Lanka had to keep borrowing money to "fund" government (enrich their own lives and the lives of their friends). It's the duty of the DOJ to take aggressive action against ALL political corruption, OR a civil war is guaranteed. This is of course what enemies of the US have been working towards for decades. That's why RU spies infiltrated corporate America to destabilize and corrupt our government. Late KGB defector Yuri Besmenov warned America in 1984 about wealthy businessmen selling the rope from which they will hang.

Brilliant as always. I am missing one key point. There is 400 M$ being spent. I get it goes to briefs and lawyers, etc. But how do the justices benefit? Do they get money out of this? The only benefit I have heard during these speeches is fat cat dinners, and being selected as a justice. However surely once on the court they do not give away their integrity continually for no other payment, be it cash or somehow in trade. Dinners can't cover it. So please explain why they do it, when they have the job for life and have no obvious reason to want to participate in this scheme, risking their legacy and not have a personal gain.

Few people realize that the "cake" referred to was not baked by an earlier version of Hostess. Rather "cake" was the crusted black splatter that caked the roof of the bread ovens.
