This is a goddamn masterpiece. I imagined an alternate universe where LOTR trilogy was Arnie’s passion project, but he insisted on directing as well as playing every single character, yet the trilogy is still the apotheosis of modern fantasy cinema.

But instead of fighting, Arnagorn reached down, took the ring off the table, turned, and walked away. Legolos: "Where are you going?" I haven't killed you yet" Arnagorn: "You're a funny guy, Legolos... that's why I'm going to kill you last" Arnogorn puts the ring on, vanishing from Legolos' sight. Making his way unseen to the horses he stashed just outside of Rivendell, he removes the ring, reaches into his saddlebags, and pulls out a bundle, unwrapping it, revealing the Palintir. Already glowing in his hand, it quickly becomes a fiery orb, an unspeakably wicked eye, which fixes on Arnagorn. Arnagorn: "I told you I'd be back, you son of a bitch!" Sauron's screams of fear and rage echo off the mountainside. Arnagorn covers the Palintir and puts it back into his saddlebags. Slowly, and resolutely looking up into the depths of the mountains, He raises his voice... "Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that two stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Crom... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you! Mounting up he hears a voice from the brush behind him... "This stuff makes Cambodia look like Kansas." Arnagorn smiles, lights up a cigar, but doesn't turn around. Arnagorn: "Did you find it?" Blain: "It was socked away, deep in a troll cave. It's Elvish craftsmanship at its finest, full-on forged Mithral, no shit. I can read a little of the of the markings... it says... this can't be right... Painless, " he said, awestruck. Arnagorn: "So the legends are true... and the great weapon is in our hands." He said breathlessly. and wide-eyed. Blain: "So what now?" Aragorn: "We assemble a new team. You take Billy and bring in Beorn, he owes me, big-time. I've saved the most dangerous part for me. Deep in the Mines of Moria, there is One that can be reasoned with, if you know its mind, and... it's history." Blain: "And then?" Aragorn: "Then?... I avenge my father's death, get my birthright back from that bastard usurper, take back my father's sword, with a kingdom to win, and unfinished business with The Lady Galadriel. She will be mine again, no matter the cost." At that he turned his horse and headed up the path, deeper into the mountains, with Blain following close behind...

As someone who studied language acquisition and sociolinguistics, as well as acting, -although I would not consider myself an expert- I think this is one of the best and most realistic voiceovers for Schwarzenegger that I have heard. It is not simply enough to "sound" like someone else, there are also nuances and distinct characteristics in the way that someone speaks. They say sounds a certain way, they make inflections in their voice or stress certain sounds throughout the sentence. This is both amazing and hilarious.
