"Concluding" this satiation idea is ridiculous. Maybe seeing salty food makes you crave sweet to balance off the stimulation. If it were true, as you said, everyone would be content with staring at food pictures.

1:30. Not just gratification but proof that I indeed made "the best" thing. In today's world you can't brag about doing something awesome if you can't prove you've *actually* done it. 2:00 Sense memory and complimentary flavours. If you are reminded of something salty you want to compliment that experience with something sweet. Your body still craves the salt but at that moment it's reminded of a different sense entirely. The reason good charcuterie platters have a variety of items focusing on different tastes ( Meat=salt, fruit= sweet, Pickle=sour, cheese= savoury/umami, Dressing/Mustard= bitter)

Lookin' like Mariah Carey at the end. LOL

A couple of the restaurants I have worked at didn't allow people to take pictures of the food to minimize the complaints about cold food.
