@DAV you think you are exposing the Qur'an but you are wrong! Your words don't change anything. Everything the Qur'an says is 100% correct! Science is also correct but it is mostly based on the theories of peole, Allah created this science, if He wants to change science then the rules of science won't work. For example can you explain why the muddy water and clean water don't mix in the gulf of Alaska. Can you explain why do you sleep? Can you explain why in some parts of the earth fish other animals fall from the sky? There are many facts that the science can't have an answer! If correct scientific statements provide evidence for the Qur’an’s divine origin, then surely incorrect scientific statements provide support for the opposite conclusion. For the argument to work, therefore, one must demonstrate not only that the Qur’an contains specific scientific information that could not have been known by a seventh century Arab, but also that the Qur’an does not contain demonstrable scientific errors that we might expect from a seventh century Arab. This video was deceiving but weak and easily refutable. I will refute all 60. First let me break down some categories because it is really dumb ones. *A)* Number 15,16,17,20,22,23 is not scientific errors. It is due to ridhwan's lack of knowledge about the concept of God in islam. God is the cause of nature🌱 and he made the laws of nature. So if God said "I send down rain for you 🌧️" there is nothing unscientific here and it is like me saying "I baked the cake🎂" but according to ridhwan's logic it is a wrong statement because the *oven* baked the cake not me 🙄. *B)* Also Number 60,54,48,46,45,44,43,42,41, 7 and 40 has again nothing to do with science it's just how people normally speak about nature in a poetic sense. For example God causes the day to enter night and vice versa and another eg from no. 42 or 41 which says "mathilya shams" and "maghribi shams" which could also mean *time of sunrise* and *"time of sunset"* but ridhwan chooses the 2nd meaning which is rising and setting place of sun even Than both are not unscientific it is how people speak about nature. Again very weak arguments 🧐. *C)*Similarly Number 26,32,34 & 50 are events related to the end of universe which is not impossible for God to do. For example no. 26 mountains will be scattered and destroyed into ashes. Again what all of this has to do with science 🤔. So 21/60 arguments already debunked. 😏😏😏. Now let's move on to other points. *1.The earth is flat* - There is no verse nor authentic hadith talking about the earth shape as whole rather it is talking about the habitatabilty ,vastness and blessings of God given to mankind. let's take the verses you quoted one by one. The possible meanings from dictionaries: *Expanded, extended, manured, streched, lengthened.* This verse indicates the vastness and spaciousness of earth not its shape as whole. And also if you read it, it is speaking on a surface level because it mentions streams and mountains. 15:19 And We spread (مَدَدناها) the earth, and made in it firm mountains, and We grew in it every kind of balanced thing, Possible meanings: *extented, spread, He made it much in quantity; increased it.* It's talking about the vastness of earth. And again talking on a surface level because it talks about mountains and plants. 2:22 He who made the earth a place of repose (فِرَاشًا) for you, Possible meanings: *A thing that is spread upon the ground to lie down, a thing that is spread to _lie down or sit_, bed, mattress, house🏡, tent🏕️, bird nest🕊️.* This verse also has nothing to do with earth's shape rather talking about its comfortable and habitable feature. 20:53 He who made the earth for *you* a cradle/expanse (مَهدًا) , and in it threaded for you ways, and sent down water from the sky, and with it We brought forth various kinds of vegetation. Possible meanings: *bed, cradle, _expanse_, level ground, smooth surface* Again nothing to do with shape 😒. Bed and cradle is something that you can sleep with comfort and it is smooth. And the word could also mean an *expanse*. And the verse is also talking on a surface level. Also the same word is used to refer about hell's vastness in Quran. 88:20 and (*look*) to the land/earth, how it has been surfaced (سُطِحَت) ? Possible meanings: *spread out,surfaced,levelled, expanded.* Here the verse say to *look* at the land how it is spread out for humans. Can anyone see the entire earth at once so it is clearly talking from human perspective. 55:17 lord of two easts/sunrises and wests/sunsets(of summer and winter) No scholar ever said it is has to do with earth shape rather about the position of sun in summer and winter and also how can flat earth have two easts and wests. 79:30-33 and after that He spread out (دَحاها) the earth,and brought forth from it its water and pastures,and set firm the mountains, Possible meanings:*expanded, spread out, extended,also used to say when a ostrich _prepare_ the ground for lying its eggs🥚, made wide, became large, inflated and also used for saying to move or roll a marble*. So again nothing unscientific. This verse is talking about how God prepared the earth for us like how the ostrich prepares the ground for lying it's eggs. 71:19-20 Allah has made the earth a vast expanse (بِساطًا) for *you* so that you may travel over its spacious ways.” Possible meanings: *expanse,spacious, a thing that is spread out or forth on ground, carpet, excess.* This indicate the vastness of earth. If you are saying the author was describing the earth shape then why it is so unclear why don't he say we made earth flat shaped like the Bible which says the earth is circle and flat. 2.*Only 4 types of cattle*- Here the author is talking to its primary audience and ridhwan is making it general. And also quran was meant to be a verbal revelation like for eg. A speech in youtube that was meant for everyone if the speaker said you can buy an product for 30 rupees but rupees is only used in india so will you say it is a wrong statement rather you will relate it your country. Simple as that. 3.*Bones before flesh* - This was only good point you made. But The quranic verse doesn't inform when the flesh is formed but it says that the bones get clothed by flesh after bones are formed from mudhga as it says "and we clothed the bones with muscles" which doesn't inform whether bones were there or not and also In tafseer qadi bayani who died in 15th century said that the verse it could mean that flesh grows over time around the bones from mudgha as he said in the following in volume 6 page 151, "("And we cloth the bones with flesh") from what is left from the mudhga (a small substance of chewable size) or *from that which (God) cause to grow from that which connects to bones."* To understand better watch this video below ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Wau-mEQCF8I.html. The signalling for bone formation is present earlier then the signalling for muscle formation. 2.Cartilage (pre-bone) is present , before the muscle 3.muscle progenitor cell don't have any information about position. The first tissue cell that subsequently condensed to form bone provides positional information for soft tissue formation. Page 122-123. “After initial outgrowth stages are completed, limb buds and segments continue to elongate and morphological features such as hand/foot plates, and joints of the proximal and distal limbs (e.g., elbow, wrist, knee, and ankle) become identifiable. During this time, cells in respective stylopod, zeugopod, and autopod compartments coalesce to form separate pre‐chondrogenic mesenchymal condensations. These condensations are shaped via joint development, chondrogenesis, and osteogenesis to produce the many separate skeletal elements of the limb, although how this occurs is only poorly understood. It could also mean leech, blood or portion of thick blood etc. So as you see the primary meaning is something that hangs or attaches to something. Therefore the claim is baseless. 5.*gender determined later*- I've never seen any tafsir that says the verse was talking about sex determination rather saying both are created from alqah. I could use the same *tactic* to prove Islam is true from surah 53 verses 45,46 which says "*And that it is He who created the two kinds-the male and the female. From a _sperm_ drop, when emitted*" 7.*sperm comes from backbone and ribs*- First of all the verse says "maaain inthafiq" meaning fluid that is ejected which is *Semen* not sperm. And also regarding backbone and ribs the word used is sulb and taraaib. Sulb means loins or backbone and taraaib means arched bones or ribs. So better translation would be (semen) *"coming forth from between loins and ribs"* which is actually the place where semen is produced according to science. 8. Milk b/w filth and blood - The verse just mean that blood, filth and milk can be found inside their bellies but only milk comes out pure for its drinkers. 9. Milk is pure - The verse simply says that pure milk comes out of the bellies instead of blood and filth and since it doesn't have impurities it is agreeable to its drinkers. And also the verse clearly says agreeable for its *drinkers* so for people who drink it is agreeable since it is good and pure. 10. plants in pairs - The word used here is zawj and azwaj which means according to Arabic- English lexicon by Edward William lane is given below. "accord. to 'Alee Ibn-'Eesà, a sort of thing [absolutely]: (Mgh:) *or a sort of thing having its like*, (El-Ghooree, Mgh, Msb,) as in the case of species; (Msb;) or having its contrary" The same word is also used to describe 3 groups in surah 56:7 which says *"you will be (on that day) in three groups (azwaj) "* 11. fruits in pairs - There are 2 interpretations for this verse. 1)it could mean that every fruits/produce atleast have 2 of its kinds ie.different species of same type,sour and sweet one, bitter and sweet ones. 2)Or it could mean that of every fruit he made *(fiha)in it * two sexes which means that the seeds in the fruit will become either a male or a female plant or it would have a plant with both male and female parts which has been proven by science. 12.Everything in pairs - The verse says "And of every thing We have created pairs" which doesn't mean sexual pairs but just pairs. And also science says that every matter there is a anti- matter. Every postive has a negative. So this verse is not unscientific. 13.All creatures in communities - According to tafsir ibn kathir it says the following - "Mujahid commented, "Meaning, various *species* that have distinct names." Qatadah said, "Birds are an Ummah, humans are an Ummah and the Jinns are an Ummah." As-Suddi said that, إِلاَّ أُمَمٌ أَمْثَالُكُم (but are Umam like you) means, creations (or species)." 14) barrier between seas - The verse says "He released the two seas meeting and between them there is a partion/barrier so they don't transgress". There is nothing unscientific here this is a known fact that when two seas meet, they don't transgress in to each other. So there is a partion between them. And also you are forgetting that quran speaks in a poetic style a partion don't need to be physical. 18.mountains of hail - just read the tafsir the word is metaphor for clouds and today science tell that hail comes from cumulus clouds which grow vertically carrying hailstones. They have the shape of huge mountains. First of all it is a metaphor and 2nd it is actually how the cumblus cloud look like. 19. Rain water is pure - Yes it is pure for bathing, washing, to make ablution, to water plants and also rain water fall into the wells and people actually drink it nothing happens to them. 21)winds bring glad tidings - First of all in mecca there used to be floods and anyone who learn seerah knows this and ridhwan know 85% of Islam which is a absurd claim but he didn't know this. Anyway yes there are some winds which blows before raining and the quran doesn't negate winds and flood cause disasters. The nation was destroyed by wind and people of nuh pbuh was destroyed by flood. 24.Altitude narrows chest - The verse is not talking about physical narrowing of chest but just in a poetic sense which means it will be harder to breath in high altitude. 25. Can't pass skies - Read the verse in context this is talking about day of judgement according to classical scholars and the verse also talk about jinns and jinn could actually fly into space according to various hadith. So this is weak claim to make. 27. Mountains prevent earthquake - The verse could also mean that it doesn't shake Side to side and crumble down because it is firmly fixed to earth. Also even if we consider the verse is talking about stabilizing the earth from shaking. Scientist actually call mountains as stabilizers for earth. 29. Heaven was smoke - The word used here is dukhan which means smoke, dusky, smoky, vapour, steamed etc. Which is supported by science that universe used to contain smoky and dusky appearance. 30. Earth before heavens - There had been differences in opinion between early classical scholars regarding which was created first and some say it is unclear in Quran about which came first others say heavens came first and others say earth came first. So if this quran caused some people in the past to understand that heavens came first before earth then you can't argue and give one interpretation to the verse. The reason is the verse used the word thumma which could mean simultaneously or to change topics. 31. sky and earth joined - The word used is rataqan which has the meanings closed up, joined entity, fused one. And this verse is not talking about beginning or big bang. It is just saying that once earth was not a distinct thing in universe its parts were fused or was a part within the universe then God created it and made it distinct object within the universe. 33. Sky will fall - Actually sky can fall according to science. All the oxygen, nitrogen and other stuff in Earth's atmosphere has a whopping combined mass of 5 quadrillion tons, so a falling sky would mean that nearly 10 tons of molecules - roughly the heft of a school bus - would drop on every square meter of Earth's surface. www.livescience.com/19949-sky-fell.html 35.sky should have pillars - There is nothing unscientific here the quran says the sky doesn't have pillars. It is just raised high. And also all the gases in the atmosphere is not present in the surface rather situated high. So I don't think this an error. 36. Sky is a protective ceiling - Again the quran is not literal book rather a poetic one. Even I learned in school that sky is like a blanket covering earth. So it is a metaphor that sky is a ceiling. 37. The sky has no rifts - The word used here is furooj which means gaps or openings. Again nothing to do with scientific errors. The earth is covered by the atmospheric gases. There is no part of sky were there is a complete absence of gases. 38. No south or North pole - Just because a book didn't speak about something doesn't mean the author know it. There are verses which says we gave you two eyes to see does that mean the author didn't knew about blind people.
39.sun indicate shadow - In ancient times shadow made by sun was used to calculate time. So the author says if he want he could make day time longer or shorter and everyone know whether one is living in 7th century that light causes shadows. For eg at night when the people lit up houses with lamps or fire. 40. The sun sets in hot water - Early Classical scholars has said that this means it is how dhul qurnayn saw as if it is setting not actually setting in a muddy hot water and also there is no other verse nor authentic hadith which speaks about this idea. Moon will darken - The word used here is khasaf which could mean *dissappear* and even if we used the meaning darken still there is nothing unscientific here the quran is talking about how we see from earth. 55/56.seven heavens and earth - The first Heaven according to Quran contains heavenly bodies/celestial objects, earth, sun and the moon. This means the first Heaven is the visible universe and you can't scientifically prove or disprove the rest six heavens exist or not. And regarding 7 earths, it is about 7 layers of earth and you can't disprove this either because humans has not progressed enough to even dig through the crust then how will then the find out how much layers the earth has. And also anything that science say about unobserable things you can't claim it is 100 percentage truth but science like round earth only can be considered as truth and all other you can only be agnostic about it. 57.stars will fall down - There are different translations to this. Some translations say the stars will *loose its light* . So you are holding onto one interpretation and ignoring others. And also even if we considered the meaning as fall it still doesn't imply it fall on earth rather to a black hole or something. 58.stars are near - The word used in the verse is samaau Dunya which could also mean according to several translations *the lowest heaven* . Which is our visible universe. 59.The stars are missiles - Except for surah mulk verse 5 all other references you gave used the word najm, kawkab, burooj which doesn't mean stars because ancient arabs used najm, kawkab etc to refer to stars as well as planets and meteroits. So the verses mean there are some celestial objects to keep the devils away from hearing conversations of angels which we cannot see because they are living the unseen world. The unseen world cannot be seen, heard or experienced so you can't prove or disprove scientifically it is false. And regarding surah 67:5. This verse has given different opinions by classical scholars 4 are given below: A. This verse doesn't mean stars actually are thrown rather parts from it. So it act like weapons shooting things out. This parts could be solar flares, radiations, light etc also remember jinns are energy like creatures so may be the radiations from sun could effect them. Even still then this are events happening in the unseen world. B.It is actually thrown at them. C. Angels stand near this stars in the unseen world then when jinns come near them to eavesdrop they are shooten down by angels and again this is part of unseen world we can't see it. D. The word used in verse is rujumun which could also mean conjectures. So some scholars said this verse refers to the people at that time who used to look at the stars and predict future by guessing and trick people. So this verse is saying the stars are futile guesses for this Shayateen from men and they have punishment for it in the hereafter because it is a great sin to practice horoscope. So if we take interpretation A,B and D there is nothing unscientific in it. Again ridhwan is holding to one interpretation. So all of his arguments failed horribly. I saw only one good argument which is no. 3 all others had answers given by the early classical scholars of Islam in which they gave the scientific interpretations.
Actually if you search the history of Arabia, it was a very progressive place till this (Q) book came up. Till date that area of the world has not recovered.

Every single statement in this video is misinterpreted out of hatred. According to the research of Professor Mark van der Meijde, mountains influence the impact of earthquakes. It was already known that the topography of an area has an influence on earthquakes, Mountains can reduce the power of quakes, but also direct them to certain places, making them more powerful than expected.
If the Quran were pure , then it wouldnt contain threats towards those who want to leave Islam and furthermore it requires clarification and interpretation by so called " Islamic scholars ". Muslims also claim that Quran is universal and timeless , but yet can only truly be understood in its arabic version !

The Quran contains many vague verses, which are fully consistent with the ancient and incorrect views, however, being vague (which is NOT scientific to start with), allows Muslims to re-interpret them as needed. For example, when it says that the Sun and Moon float in orbits AND it mentions day and night in the same verse, this is fully consistent with the geocentric system. However, because today we know that the Sun also orbits in our galaxy, Muslims jump on that. But, if you're honest to the source and it's historical context, you would not argue that it's talking about a galactic year (which is ~250 million years). I another verse (21:30) it speaks of the Earth and heavens being separated, which is exactly what the local creation myths said - so, someone familiar with history and science will see that these simply influenced the Quran, but the verse is scientifically wrong. Muslims cannot allow the Quran to contain a single mistake, so they just re-interpret the verse, and/or science. If anyone else did that they would call them out, of course.

I disagree with any attempt to limit freedom of speech. "Wan Najmi Itha hawa" , rough translations "I swear by the star when it falls", certainly most old translations use the world "hawa" in the sense fall. They look up they see stars above and ya they think they will fall. But is that the only meaning for that word? The word "Hawa" also means "disappear". A victim star in close proximity to a black hole or a neutron star can fall into it and even disappear as if it never existed. It can disappear from our visible universe by the fast expansion of the universe (becomes out of reach) and yes there is another verse about the expansion of the universe. It uses the literal word "expand". But I find the world "Hawa" to be much more than that, It also means "emptied". What an expression ! Glory to you Allah the unseen creator of heavens and earth. Indeed the Quran is so heavy the more you learn the more you realize how little you know. What do you think happens to the stars before they die. They run out of fuel and collapse on themselves, and depending on size can possibly result in a white dwarf, or super nova which can look like a splash of a painted rose resulting in heavier elements (iron and above) scattered. Folks all what i just said is also mentioned in the Quran. In fact the verse and chapter of "Al Hadeed" ( Iron) correspond to the atomic weight and numbers of Fe. Coincidence! Maybe but when you keep adding up these coincidences you will start looking like a clown if you stay in denial. I think you have not understand Islam properly. Allah does not give punishment to those who are born as non Muslim because when a child is born he is born as a Muslim no matter what his parents were but after the child grows and attains both physical as well as mental maturity then he is no more a child, no more innocent. He knows about good or bad even too a little extent that is quite beneficial to live in a society. But when he grows into an adult surely he might have gained knowledge. If that person even after gaining knowledge did not feel the need to understand his purpose in life then he is a fool. He is led astray by the satan. I agree with that quote and I’m an agnostic that’s swings more to atheism. But I do think it’s good to embrace the idea of a god, not a religion. Leaving your mind open to the prospect of a god or intelligent designer, accident by an intelligence etc is in its nature more open minded than not. And I would consider being open minded as rational.

It's called pluralis majestatis, and usually can be interpreted to refer to their multiple titles and functions, each of which is considered a separate entity within the one physical person.

If you read the Quran, the verses before and after almost all of those verse DO NOT provide any more context as the Quran often contains many random ideas and surrounding verses do not elaborate these particular ones further - please feel free to just give ONE example how how the context will change the meaning of any of these.... Further, if you read the tafsirs, they agree very well with the Quranic interpretation that he gives - are you therefore disagreeing with the best of Islamic scholars? You don't give a single example, but let me give you one. We know that the Quran borrows from local, man-made creation myths, legends and scientific ideas of the time (as the Quran itself mentions - "tales of the ancients"). Take Q21:30 for example which Muslims claim talks about the Big Bang. This was a common myth from Egypt (Ra separated the heaven and Earth) to Iran (Enlil separated them) - Arabia just happens to be in the middle! If you read the Sumerian creation story you'll see it is found in 21:30: “Enlil, lord Nunamnir, the En, his utterance cannot be countered, separated Heaven from Earth, separated Earth from Heaven.” - Krebernik 1998, p. 321, n. 805. This myth and the verse are of course wrong because the Earth did not exist at the time of creation (not for another ~9 billion years) and you cannot separate the Earth from the havens as it is part of the heavens (sky/universe). The classical tafsirs scholars understood the verses exactly as the myth implying that the Earth existed but it did not rain on it until it was separated. Ibn Abbas: We did not send down to it a drop of rain or grow vegetation on the earth which were aligned with each other (then We parted them) al-Jalalayn: the heaven was parted and began to rain, when it did not use to do so Ibn Kathir: .in the beginning they were all one piece, attached to one another and piled up on top of one another, then He separated them from one another, and made the heavens seven and the earth seven, placing the air between the earth and the lowest heaven. Then He caused rain to fall from the sky and vegetation to grow from the earth Sufyan Ath-Thawri: Yes, the heavens were joined together and it did not rain, and the earth was joined together and nothing grew No cosmologist will ever explain the Big Bang in such a way. Muslims today are forced to re-interpret the Quran and the science to make them agree, but if this verse was not in the Quran and I showed it to you, you would have no issue saying that it's a scientifically incorrect ancient myth. Its full of mistakes, we all know that. Now muslims are insisting , that the quran does, not really mean, what it says and that the words actually mean something else . Now, they are busy , twisting and turning to prove that the straight , literal interpretation of quran is actually a mistake ! and you are suppose to get a different meaning.. The irony of their lies, always gives me a good laugh

@@Rationality4Life Oh these are rubbish. Most of them are recycled (and have been refuted in the past). But there a few claims I have not come across before, and for good reason. There are just complete misunderstanding on Ridvan's part (E.g. No. 19), or simply bizarre (e.g. No 15 and 16).

Huh? The scientific facts littered throughout the Qur'an are apparently nothing more than lucky guesses by Muhammad (peace be upon him). Because how else could the Qur'an be accurate if it wasn't the word of God And AP's claims of scientific inaccuracy elsewhere are laughable. Don't believe everything you hear lol. Most of these claims have been refuted ad nauseum. And a couple of the new ones are just bizarre lol No wonder I haven't those new claims before.
