Billy the person who jumped off the roof and died was no other than Ian Broudie s (Lightening Seeds) brother who was indeed in the legal game. His practice I believe was in Liverpool, he jumped from the Bell Tower in 2007 it is understood he had suffered from depression following the death of his sister. In fact Rex Makin did speak about the sad death. For the record he was called Robert and left an estimated 5 million in his will.
Aww Bill remember me (Liz from Doncaster) picking you up from the Kevin White, and Lee Garrett and JonJon went the Williamson's tunnels learned some great history of Liverpool in the 10yrs l lived there .. The greatest City of love and care all your families doors open to welcome new friends and very quickly those friends became family. Each and everyone of you built me up making me stronger and they sure were the very best years of my life. Liverpool is the best City of real people, genuine care and love who will carry you until you learn to walk again and most of all listen to every word you say no matter the time day or night your no longer alone living in the Greatest City full of warm love and light. ❤ Greatest respect for you all Billy and your amazing family and each and every family who welcomed me into theirs ❤ Much love always for you all Mad Lizzy now retired and back in Doncaster xxx
I really enjoyed this looking round graves my mum told me when I was a kid there was grave in rainford church. Yard. There was a lady called rainford eiz in a glass coffin don’t know how true. Thank you Billy
"was it Rex Makin?" "oh fuck off Billy, it wasn't Rex Makin" hahahahahahahaahaha I've been feeling like shit but watching you two has made me feel better.
No joke, Darren kept me going through lockdown with his appearances on Bill’s podcast, a proper funny guy without even trying which is what makes him so hilarious, a proper scouser ❤
Billy you and Darren should keep these tour videos coming, there’s a lot places people don’t know about maybe do the Williamson tunnel tour 👍 keep them coming fellas
Rob broudie was a brilliant guy he was my brief as a kid and was shit hot ,the police were always devastated when you said rob was your brief 😊 lovely man will always respect and miss him, another belter bill lad 🙏👍
Probably the Governments own data that 40,000 (this year alone!) are in hotels waiting to go to the top of the housing list then bring multiple dependants over. Then there's the hundreds of thousands they don't know the location of. One even tried to detonate a bomb at the women's hospital a stone's throw from the Cathedral@@Bri-ir2gu
Love the Scouse tours with you and Darren. Would be great if you added some more music content to the Pod. So many amazing bands to choose from the city. Bet there’s some great stories to be told.
lovbe it when Billy mentioned that he thought a lawyer had jumped off the cathedral and thought it was rex makin... Darrem says.." fuck off bill it wasnt rex makin" hahhaha
I went ghost hunting at Newsham Park & took a stroll around that cathedral & graveyard the next morning, it’s stunning. Staying at the Adelphi I cud imagine the history & glamour of yesteryear, even tho Britannia have it on its arse at the min. Loving these city tours Bill.
Haha you two.. your faces in the thumbnail has killed me laughing Darren's buzzing but Billy you look hilarious and unsure... fkin RU-vid Gold lads ... excellent blast from the past 👏 😅😅😅❤❤❤
Have a look at Victorian grave symbols, it's fascinating. Victorians were obsessed with death, which was why they paid so much for crypts and fancy headstones with status and stuff. I think the 'trophy' is an urn, and the shroud round it symbolises being 'beyond the veil' to the other side (or something like that, without having a quick google!).
The Williamson Tunnels where used to house slaves before being sent on to America. The tunnels where created after slavery was abolished but wealthy men still continued to carry on. Look into Liverpools connection with the Confederates in the American Civil War and it will make sense.
Williamson tunnels mad bill from what I seen I think spots like that everywhere below us low...think they shut it off apart from the little area open too the public but I reckon go on for fooking miles in sliverpool alone 🤣🤣...cheers boys have another pop getting into will tunnels lads if get time...edit the stonework on that door area looks mad...cheers
There's a guy called Paul Cook who runs a channel called Hidden History - he's found tunnel networks all over the UK (and Europe) - he did a few vids on the Williamson tunnels. History might not be as it seems.
At the beginning when you were at Williamsons tunnels them building used to be home to the liverpool lord mayors horses,I used to go with a girl who's dad was the Lord mayors chauffeur. They knocked down an old very big house what used to be on the front smithdown lane and thats where they lived.
I don't know if you know Billy but inside the cathedral there is a carving of a cherub/angel thing holding a football rattle, next time you go in see if you can find it ;)
@billy it was Ian Broudies (lightning seeds) brother Robert Broudie who jumped off. He had been helping / representing the local community after the riots... Have a look into it and do a video on it.
Ask Darren if he ever found the money he lost in the caravan park in Wales. I recognized him and was expecting him to come out with something funny but he was gutted because he thought he dropped his family spending money while he was getting his kids an ice cream. I was hoping he found it when he got back home.
Natural spring water here 💪 it goes under the old kings house or rothchild house at sefton Park. would love to give you some products to give out also a chat about how deep our city and culture is. Also most are masons in tharmt graveyard and well 2030 alone to epstein or bbc or anything bad shows what masons are. Scouse is different because the land alone and the land you stand was mount zion. We had a scouser who has been taken guide so much hidden history and health. 💪 scouse love and light.
It was Robert Brodie, Bill, his body was found hours later, apparently he hit one of the outcrops, and laid there for a while. Depressions a bastard, he was a boss brief as well, if he knew you'd been set up he would make it his mission to help, but that was when you actually got him, haha. Mr Thompson was good, but Ms Saile was better, I got set up by the OSD I got a not guilty in Bootle magistrates, with Ms Saile. Plod always gave a little sigh when you told them your brief was Broudies.
@@ScorchedEarth-cd5cl The conservative parties private army. After they got control of miners and the smashing of the unions, It left a lot of police out of work, so they were aimed at the youth of the country, and It ruined a lot of kids lives before they become adults. And just for the crime of being young and growing up around a drug pandemic, in the plods eyes, this was reason enough to set a kid up, it's beyond them being scum mate, it was fcukin criminal.
Much better than the podcast with Frankie and his Chinese jokes 💣 saying that he does look like Mr Wong now with all his work. Darren his just naturally funny.
Billy you mentioned a fella you met in prison 'Pepsi' in one of your podcasts. I was friends with a lad from Wolverhampton black lad he was massive then in Featherstone nick around 1980 is it the same kid and if so how's he getting on and what's he been upto
