The devil's in the details and you do the details so well Paul! The staircase and downspouts really brought the signal box to life. Well done as always!

I can’t tell enough how I enjoy your videos every Sunday night Paul. You’ve inspired me to getting back to my own HO building projects after some time away. I find that I get the most pleasure assembling, painting & weathering buildings than actually running trains.
@GalgormHall
@GalgormHall 2 года назад
That’s very kind of you Kevin. I’m very similar in thought to you when it comes to model railways - the construction and painting is by far the most pleasurable part for me and running sessions tend to take a back seat as a result. Paul

“I’m just going offscreen to do these fiddly things” Or you might hear some NOrthern Irish vernacular……..! Wonderful Signal Box, I’ve an old second hand Hornby or Airfix Air Traffic Controller tower that I’m going to renovate thanks to your tutorials. Happy New Year everyone, Ian
@GalgormHall

There may have been a few choice words whilst off screen Ian. 😆 The Airfix tower would make a perfect donar to convert in to a similar styled signal box, good luck with the build. Paul

@Elvenhome
@Elvenhome 2 года назад
@@GalgormHall Hmmm not sure about that. I will say this quietly so no one but you hears, but I don't like much about the Southern Railway 🤫. I also learned a great deal downsizing the other signal box and I think some of the detail would be quite difficult to replicate in the smaller size. Doing that made me realise why so few of the Scale Model Scenery OO kits get produced in N. I will keep an eye on your other scratch builds though and see if there is something else I can scale down. Stephen

@GalgormHall
@GalgormHall 2 года назад
Thanks Steve. It’s a good question on the hours put in. I never count them but I reckon each video had about 1 - 1/2 hours footage cut down to the 20 minutes so that would equate to 10 a 15 hours. It’s a grand old past time sure. Paul
