When will the environmental impact assessment and the public consultations be carried out so as to protect Jamaica's interest? How can outsiders be allowed to make these decisions for us!
Been to Portland bight. Got to walk across manatee bay beach and see some awesome caves. I hoped to go over goat island but it got late and had to pass it by boat. Hope I get to see it in its natural beauty before its covered in containers
The Jamaican Government is selling and has sold out Jamaica to the least bidders with the average Jamaican seeing no impact on their lives from these investments and the environment continues to be affected negatively. I was in Jamaica a few weeks ago and I was watching a documentary about the impact of mass tourism and hotel development on the environment and I was blown away and hurt that my country of origin was being destroyed like this. Beautiful Falmouth is being over developed, hotels are being built by the shores, negatively affecting the coastal and marine environment and the fishermen make their living there. The ever expanding Spanish hotel in Runaway Bay, St Ann is also posed to have a drastic effect on the environment and community. And now this beautiful cay is considering being used as a shipping hub?
when most people are in power they ten to for get what its like to be human, what its like to care, what its like to love. they will do anything at what every cost just to keep the power they have. even if it means to destroy life. what will happen when we destroy our sea what will we tell the visitors, we can say any more can to jamaica for the land and our sea cause we killed our sea. we have a beautiful sea because of the life living in its waters. is there anyone can help us save it please.
