The search for MONSTER creek bass | Venture fishing Mill Creek 

COlin I grew up on that creek for 44 yrs. I know exactly where your fishing and that's a good section of mill creek but through many yrs of fishing that whole creek from where it starts in Nolensville Tenn to the mouth where it flows in the Cumberland River off Lebanon rd Nashville. I've learned the big smallmouth seem to go more near the Antioch region near the jails there . the water is deeper and cooler due to the rock quarry bit I have found that a 4 inch pumpkin seed lizard with a chartreuse curley tail is an absolute killer to them fish Large and small mouth. If you can't find the chartreuse tail the solid pumpkin seed will work. Be sure to use 4 inch and I always use the Zoom brand. I've had decent luck with motor oil color also. Im trying to remember what size bullet sinker I used I know it was small because I wanted it to sink slower.. My uncle and I waded that creek from one end to another . I lost him in January to cancer and I just haven't went back I'm not ready. He was only 7 yrs older than me and we were very close and had many adventures on that creek. Any way try what I told you and I guarantee a big ole smallie and Large mouth will take you for a great fight. Oh yeah fish the Lizard real slow over logs, beside rocks you know what I'm talking about. My biggest small mouth that came out of that creek was 6lbs 2 0as. Large mouth was 6lbs 6off.
