Pretty cool I've never prospected down the eastcoast of USA to far I spend most my time in Massachusetts or further north. It's nice around the Carolinas
No pickers but some pokers and pinchers , I'm glad I didn't get skunked I just would have liked to see more for the time spent. But I did have all types of areas of interest and didn't end up getting the chance to explore so I will be back
@@GramCanyonSam the river has really flatten out . Steady flow all winter . High water never lasted long enough. It could use a good surge . But wam is the wam . Always easy stuff to get . Night time prospecting starts soon 😎
Nice looking creek good looking gold! Got to spend a couple weeks down their hiking years ago, there’s something about their woods that has a New England feel. Surprised to hear that there is less black sands down there.
Looks pretty decent for a day at Uwharrie in my experience, some people know where the good stuff is but I usually have to work hard all day to get about that much. I’ve been there a handful of times and I’m still exploring looking for the honey hole
Try and get out on cattail and Spencer creek, that was an area of interest i didn't make it too. In the short time I was down there in my opinion the better spots are off the res
@@GramCanyonSam thanks for the suggestions, which creek were you on in the video? I’ve been in McLeans and moccasin and Uwharrie river and found gold each of those places but I have only found one small concentrated hotspot so far with a picker in it
I can't really say as my buddies are working down in there but if I was living down there I'd be going to cattail and Spencer and a few other trailheads around the county
