The search for the Australasian Bittern - Hexham Swamp 

For #WorldWetlandsDay2021 one of the many things we want to celebrate is our community partnership with Hunter Bird Observers Club (HBOC) and BirdLife Australia trying to track down the secretive Australiasian Bitterns in the Hunter Wetlands, thanks to support from the Australian Government's National Landcare Program.
Our region is home to some internationally recognised wetlands, that provide critical habitat for many rare and endangered birdlife and native species.
