A bit late to your channel. But I appreciate how you’re so down to earth and show your viewers how good detailing can be done with basic tools for the ordinary man.
I’m a weekend warrior and have just purchased a BMW X5 M50. Gave it a good clean and a mop and polish and then applied fusso wax. Omg this thing is nuts, every stage I was getting to the paint work was getting better and better and the fusso just gave it that final bang and it now looks insane! That’s for the video 🔥
I got the Fusso light wax & a DA machine, watched ALOT of how toos & which were good products, spent Too much on other products before finding this Excellent stuff, been on my Fiesta since Oct 2021, still going super strong, Glaco on the glass, brilliant combo, that's a great tip(wet sponge) and Another great video, from an Epic Fella.! Honest! 👍🏻👌🏻 I love the fresh clean beading...
I've used it for a few years now and people ask for it again and again, its great for repeat business and happy customers, lots who like washing their cars themselves between visits
What do you do when re-applying the Soft99? Do you have to remove the previous year's coating? Or do you simply wash the car, decontaminate and panel prep before putting the next application on top of the previous year. Presumably it will bond properly with the previous year's application.
@user-pz6dw3ot8j The paintwork is decontaminated etc before re application but it's generally very easy going and they are usually still very slick, even after twelve months, Fusso may lose its beading after eight months, especially on the sides and lower front doors etc but it is generally still there.
I’ve known this wax was around but never bothered ... Until you reviewed it … I just NEED to get some now. That’s it Dave, your an influencer - time to set up your own online shop !
Tried Fusso because of Forensic Detailings & your video, Fusso coat then Fukupika after to finish, unbelievable ! Soft99 have superb choices, i can't see me using anything else !
I recently rescued a black E46 touring from a local driveway, where it had sat under a tree for months. A day's washing and Machine compounding was finished off with a coat of Fusso Black. It looks amazing and the previous owner couldn't believe the shine. The beading also looked impressive after it rained!

Thanks for the video Dave. Soft99 do some great products. Kiwami and Water Block are another couple that spring to mind. Once clients see the hydrophobicity of Fusso Coat for sure they will tempted as opposed to forking out extra for a ceramic coating.
Cheers Karl. It's definitely one of those products that is definitely for a real car care enthusiast. If I use it once a year by the time it runs out I'll be 56 lol
Have this wax and 2 black cars that’s why I bought it,.have just purchased a white car so was nice to hear you can use it on both light and dark as I spend a fortune on car products thanks to the tube,
I have this wax in my Amazon cart for over a year now....🤦🏾♂️ itching to get it. Now I'm going to head to my Amazon account now and buy it.... thanks to you Dave have me spending more money 💰
So glad I found your channel. Got myself a very nice car a week ago and watched all your videos teaching me what to do. Washed it yesterday and it looks great. Got the Ava P55 that you recommended it's great. My friend recommended Gyeon and Poor boys products, car looks great but wonder what it would look like with Yum and soft 99 king of gloss products 🙃 so glad I found your channel had so much fun cleaning my car
Hello thanks for the kind message. Much appreciated. I've got a new channel coming out that solely focuses on teaching how to videos so they will be short and sweet
Used soft99 for about 3 years now, I apply it twice a year, full winter prep, then coat of soft99 topped up with sonax bsd every weekly wash, results are amazing, great combination, same for my summer prep full decon, clay, light correction, polish then coat of soft99 + bsd, Much better results than what I was using before which was bilt hamber dsw, and that is a good wax but is tricky to apply even in cooler conditions
Used it for the first time this Monday. Love it. It’s rained a couple of times since and the car looks fantastic and still really clean!! The water beads roll off like little marbles lol
@@ΓρηγόρηςΓιαννελάκηςyou have to put it on thin I mean thin thinner thinnest Take the yellow sponge that comes with it and soak it and then ring it out Put the yellow sponge in the can and turn it in a circle motion two or three times lightly A tiny bit goes a long way I mean a really long way One can should be able to do about 30 cars easily. Work in small sections It will flash pretty quick if you keep it really thin Work in the shade Buff it off After take a clean micro fiber cloth and buff it again Do the whole car this way Keep it off plastics If you get it on any plastic just use a clean rag and wipe it off right away There is no better wax/sealant on the market Let it dry 24 hrs After that you can top it with anything you want Fusso makes a product called King Of Gloss or Mirror Shine It’s meant to go with this coating and add extra gloss.
Hi dave, I love using the soft 99 fuso wax I have mine a few years and I find it very easy to use, can't wait to see what you will be using in the next few videos 👍👍
@@epicautomotivedetailing those types of videos are great because you review it brand see how it works and get your thoughts, but it's great to see you and your dad cleaning car's and getting stressed out on the way home 🤣🤣
I might get this wax, not to mention it costs only £30, as some brands would charge you much more. If you get 20 applications out of the pot it's only £1.50!
Soft 99 makes a whole range of very good detailing products for a very fair price. Their soaps are also great (although not scented at all) as well as their wash sponges (which I have actually come to like much better than a wash mitt, pad, or microfiber cloth) on well maintained vehicles. And NO their wash sponges will NOT scratch your vehicles. In fact, I think they are actually safer after experimenting with them over the past few months. Again, NOT on real heavy dirt. They are really nice on WELL maintained vehicles. I just use a single bucket with a grit guard and dunk the sponge in the solution frequently. No problems with scratching. These are superior quality sponges, not the dollar store crap sponges that would scratch a hardened porcelain sink from the 1950's! For the average person just looking to do a weekly or bi-weekly maintenance clean of their vehicle, Soft 99 products would be an excellent choice.
I keep wanting to try this wax, but I'm so reluctant to break from my normal routine. My mind set is that the car needs a good spit n polish with every clean. After final rinse I use a light misting of Seal n Shine all over before dry down and buffing. So quick and easy and stunning finish. I suppose a hard wax would offer that extra longevity of protection but unless the car has just been prepared to perfection I wouldn't chose it. It really is a once a year product for upsale. Having said all that, I'm still gonna buy some and play 😄
Been using fusso for at least 8 years now (obviously not the same ton) and value for money along with ease of use and quality it can't be beaten for the money

Nice video. Fusso is definitely a top notch product. I wonder if it will be banned eventually as PFAS are cracked down on. That’s the only real pro of some ceramic coatings, no fluorine. I think applying wax a couple times a year is easier than coating.
You're right about opinions etc Dave but also I have found the whole detailing industry confusing at times, I think it's often deliberate too, to keep people spending, using, trying and experimenting. I've never bought any Soft99 products mainly because they are so confusing, I mean what's the difference between Fusso Coat, The Kiwami, Dark & Black Protection Wax, New Scratch Clear Wax Dark, Revolution Mirror Finish Wax and Mirror Shine Wax to name just a few all from the same manufacturer! It's no wonder people end up confused, there must be hundreds of waxes available from the myriad of brands there are these days! 😫
Yeah I know many people who lose lots of money because they buy the wrong product. Needless to say that won't be happening much longer. There is a new brand coming to the market this year that talks the same language as I do. Watch this space
@@epicautomotivedetailing That's very true, good idea that . Just lately I've been trying new stuff , keeps things exciting. Been stuck in my ways with products, being a weekend warrior I don't get though much , and although love the hobby dont want to fill garage up with products won't use again.
I put Fusso Black on my Lexus Grey in June of last year, topped up with Bazooka it's still going. I'm going to now coat it with Mirror shine and the Fusso Detailer spray which they say lasts 6 months. This combo is Savage. A neighbour asked what I was doing and did his 2 beamers black and his wife's Kia. I explained to him how to wash, and apply throughout, He's thrilled and showing pictures to every one. He is my second student 😂
How can i increase gloss for fusso coat while not reducing it main properties of hydrophobicity and duribility. Help me out please. And how about washing it
@@epicautomotivedetailing Yeah. TW graphene/ceramic paste is currently my favourite. I'm going to buy the Fusso for application on clients' cars over the winter period me thinks.
100% agree. This wax is a must for customers not wanting to get a ceramic coating. I charge from £30 £45 as a add on pending onthe size of the vehicle. 2 of my regulars took this as a added on with there mini valets thats done every 4wks so was an easy £65 - £70 for 2hrs work. Ive been trying the dark on light cars and light on dark cars to see if i could notice any difference as this is something i was wondering myself. You have pointed out it out plain and simple and the obvious 1 has fillers 😂😂. Now i feeling think as shite 😕
Yeah it's such a good upsell. I know someone who charges over £80 but the majority down here are £50-80. Definitely feel this is more for the business valeters over the weekend warriors
Old version Fusso coat is far superior for durability over this new version. problem is it's now banned in EU due to the chemicals used so you have to import it. Got mine from Ukraine before the troubles started.
I used the Fusso light after a friend recommended it and was VERY impressed on the white Sportage I had.. I've just bought a Santa Fe which is Ocean Blue (sometimes it looks "grey" and other times "blue" depending on the light) . I'm pleased after watching your video the Fusso Light can be used on darker cars too saves splashing out again. PS Love the informative vids keep up the good work!
@@epicautomotivedetailing well it's been a year and it is finally beading Less so it might even last longer 1.safe wash method onr and detail spray to lubricate drying 2. Still performing after a whole year
Been on every car I have owned for a year now great gloss and the water behavior is up there but if you keep your car out side it can die of sooner than a year even after being prepared first
I use to use this wax on my meteor grey vrs with outstanding results. I'd question the 12 month durability the vrs is our family daily wagon though so may be that could have an effect on durability. The only reason I stopped using fusso was I had a onyx graphine coating put on the car. Allegedly the onyx graphine coat should last upto 5 years with regular maintenance and care. It seems to be holding up its been 12month since it was applied. I still use fusso if I do family or friends cars. Or collinite is another of my favourites
@@epicautomotivedetailing To be honest with you . The jury is still out. It's been 12 months since the application. I only got it because it was my brothers detailing business and they were looking at offering onyx coating they sent out a free bottle for them to try. To see if they liked the product. He offered me the chance to get my vrs coated. So thought why not it only cost 15 quid that was for the cost of shipping from Germany to UK. We did all the prep work and applied the coating at his detailing studio. It was a long day around 14 hrs washing.. decontamination. claybar 3 stage polish then applied 2 layers of the graphine coating. I must say washing the car through winter was easier since it was coated. Spray with anachem citra clean leave a few minutes then anachem snowfoam leave to dwell a few minutes then wash with the trusty nilfisk p180 . Bang and grime is gone.
@@jamesbond7648 Fair comment.! But can you give an explanation why you say this. There are loads of ceramic and graphine. Coatings out there with claims they last more than 2 years. I have personally seen ceramic coating still going strong after 18 months. My coating is still going strong its been on just over a year..
Great video, love Fusso Coat. However, I was always advised its more of a sealant than wax (Apparently, in Japan, they don't have a word for sealant, so it's marketed as Wax), but I love it never had an issue even now my car has been wrapped, it's still an amazing product, though I do use a coat of wax on top.
I applied some on the company e-scooter when it was new and everything without any dust or grime 6 months later it still holds quite well. Water beading isn't as beautiful as in the beginning, but after some snowfoam and pressure washer it basically is clean again and still has a good amount of shine It was left outside literally the whole time and wasn't covered or anything
Been using this a few years now honestly I forgot how good it was until recently when I used it on a friends C63 I detailed. I applied king of gloss to my own car yesterday and the gloss levels are awesome was beading nicely today after some showers 😎
Great advice Dave. Love your content and how easy to watch your videos are. I have spent a lot of years I'm the automotive industry and I have a rather large collection of Paint Protections, like DiamondBrite, SupaGuard and BMW Seal & Protect that I have acquired from valeters. As a hobbyist who also reviews cars on my channel, I look for convenience as well as durability. I'm feeling like I should walk away from using the paint protections in favour of this sort of wax - what are your thoughts?! Cheers. Matt
My personal preference for my own cars is finding something that is quick to apply but that's because I clean so many cars. If I was an enthusiast I'd use more waxes
I have just used soft coat 99. I snow foamed, decontaminated and washed I applied the coat but have ended up with a mottled finish on the bonnet. The car had a Diamond bright a year ago, would that be a reason for the fusso not working. What I have I done wrong, can I take the fusso off, and how to do so?
i totally agree witth you. Fusso coatat for everything, ,as far as I'm concerned. I wish other youtubers would review soft 99 and their products, instead of teh same old rubbish alternatives, and finding the one that's on the top of the sh^t heap.
Mine is very hard to apply since it is not spreading properly and very powdery, it is also hard to remove. The wax itself is hard and not soft. What should i do?
I’ve got the old fusso which I think lasts a bit longer than the new version but stinks like hell. You wouldn’t want to use it in a garage. I got around 8-9 months out of it in the real world on a car that lives outside. The water behaviour is insane, there’s not much out there like it due to the Fluorine which has amazing contact angles. Tin of that will last a life time
I have 4 cans of the old Fusso It’s the best wax/ sealant I have ever used I honestly can get just about a year out of the coating here in the Northeast of America.
I have a bronze silver car but I have 2 paste waxes The first one is Fusso coat Dark color version and the second one is King of gloss for white car. Can I apply fusso coat for the first coat as based and let it cure time and then top with King of gloss white version for boost up a glossy shine ??? Thank you.
Great question. Turtle Wax graphene wax is actually brilliant. I tested it on a mercedes last year and it's hanging in there still. I haven't used this long enough to back the 12 month claims but have applied to few family cars so will have to wait but so far both are equally great with no clear winner
Hey! Just found an old Version from 2018 at my neighbors cellar. It wasn't opened and he kept it dark and cold. Do you think I can still use it? Don't want to wax the car and then realize it doesn't work anymore :)
Hi, i think i applied it in a wrong way, because this is the first time i buy a car and doing wax on my own, so i didnt prep the car i didnt know it before this, and i applied it a bit thick layer and i only hv 1 microfiber cloth 😢 now the car look hazy not gloss at all... what should i do to fix it? I do hv fusso coat 12month and the fusso coat spray, your advice is much appreciated ❤
Hi Dave, brilliant video,I've seen it recently reviewed on RU-vid but haven't tried it yet,a thin layer and it beads great.i will probably get the Fusso light for my car and try it.
I have a tin of the old fusso nothing beats it for durability about 8 months real world I don't use it very often as it lasts so long I don't get to use any of the other waxes in my wax collection Top it with sonax BSD every few washes and it goes on forever
Depends who's done that video. In what real life scenario would that ever happen??? These testers are a joke sometimes. It's like dropping a China vase off a building then saying it's broken. Seriously it's a great wax but it's not for a beginner because they would tend to over apply it. Real world scenario I had even with turtle Wax was 12 months and that was because I applied it properly. It would be the same for this too. It just depends how it's been applied
@@markjefferson7492 Mark. There are so many waxes, sealants, coatings out there it's easy to miss something like Fusso, which at best only gets a passing mention in most detailing channels.
@@as680783 If you are "in the trade" or new to the trade, your first port of call has to be the "detailing world" website. Fusso is mentioned quite regularly in the wax forum. It's not an obscure wax by a long chalk.
Bought it on your recommendation. I’ve never used a paste wax before. Went on perfectly, prepped mine and the wife’s car for winter these last couple of days. Once a year for the two cars is ten years, amazing. The shine is fantastic.
Just bought the light version of this wax, haven't applied it, was going to wait until September ready for the wetter weather etc. Also bought the Glaco windscreen compound and coating, have applied this and am more than happy from what I've seen with the recent inclement weather we've been having down on the south coast.
New to your channel. Been washing my cars for years but never got into making it amazing because I’ve never really known how. That’s until I got a car worth preserving the look of. Chanced on Fusso coat and your channel. Fusso coat is the easiest ‘wax’ I’ve ever used, in 30 years of owning cars. It gives amazing results. It’s that good that a detailer friend has even asked who does my car for me. I love that I can just give the car a quick spray down after work to keep it clean and that my maintenance washes are so much quicker and easier. I reckon the tin will last about ten years so it’s amazing value for money.
Facts. Fusso is even easier to be applied. Not fool proof but easy. If you will use modern day QD then fusso is just a base protection and yeah it will last. It has good initial look but wont compare against top waxes. But if you put QDs then who cares. Get a watergold and you good! Prep is all. Light one will remove easier and be more fool proof in terms of prep, amount and removal.
I'm currently moving from Essex to Midlands.. going into new years after the super cold season, I'll be taking your word on it and giving it a go! To be quite honest, your advice has never led me astray, along with forensic detailing, the journey into weekend warrior and detailing has been absolutely brilliant with no harsh mistakes. Much appreciated as always man🤘🏽
thanks bro; great vid. i stumbled across this but as a detailing enthusiast love the content - may i ask for advice on what cloths you use (i have always found even expensive microfibre to leave lint/fluffy shit) 😂
i put 2 coats of fusso on my car near the end of September and is still beading up decently.... great stuff and only takes a bit longer to apply and buff than the likes of turtlewax seal and shine
@@mm7460 not a lot in it to be honest, i just like spending the time "waxing" after doing any corrections needed once a year. i got my tin of original fusso for £20 about 6 years ago and haven't put a dent in the amount used. apparently the newer tin is easier to buff and is less streaky but even on my black car i never got much streaks, key is to keep the coats as thin as possible but the turtle wax is cheaper ( i get the newer reformated bottles for£6 )and just generally a lot quicker to apply and buff so i use it as a topper every few months
Hi Dave, that's a bold claim of 12 months protection, as we all know not every car is kept in a warm garage, has the company tested in the real world. not trying to be negative, but a lot of companies said their waxes last this snd that, and most of us know this isn't always the case.
What shampoo do you recommend for maintenance washes for Fusso Coat? And what drying aid would you use? I am thinking to use P&S Bead Maker or Rain Drop Bazooka. + would like to see more Soft99 products on this channel.
Fusso is awesome thou I rarely use it , I generally use zymol concours glaze , Wolfgang fuzion and sonax thou I do agree for the cost fusso is a definite positive for up sale
Just watched this video as I really want to try it but have two other waxes already, I don’t really want to waste them. Will definitely try some eventually😀
Still I would advise caution to the people installing it, the hobbyist, weekend warriors like myself. You CAN screw it up and quite hard . I didn't stick to installation guidelines and it was a pretty grim experience. I applied it to the whole hood and went on cleaning the garage, who knows how much time has passed. I had inadequate lighting so some areas were laid on thick. It obviously stayed fir too long and you could not buff out some areas, sort of high spots. It's not harmless wax, it packs a punch and do it properly or else the punch goes into your face ...
Ordered some of the light one for a metallic silver car. After application & then a wash in say 2-3weeks time with just car shampoo, would you add something like a ceramic spray whilst wet from autoglym/turlewax on top or is there no need for literally 10-12 months? Cheers
Great video Dave! I haven't had the chance to try out fusso yet, but all I see is that most of the people whose tried it, loved it so far. Ohh, and yes: you kept the TN 🔥🙏
