Nice to see my favorite vacation island through the other persons eyes. Been there over 20 times and it is still my favorite one with the island of Koh Kood which is my latest find from the year of 2016 til today together with Koh Chang. Wish you the best and thank you for sharing!
The cold coconut drank from its shell……ahhhh…paradise 🥥 🌴 THE LONELY BEACH = MY DREAM LIFE. I can buy everything in bulk before arriving there, such as a picnic stove, gas cans, fresh produces, beverages, etc., and stay there for a month without leaving.
It's great that you are able to create such experience and memories with your family especially with your mum whom i believe have followed you and watched many of the video you have created showcasing the beauty of the places you have visited. One suggestion Ken. I go to Koh Chang every year. I have eaten about everywhere. I recommend one very good small restaurant. Try to find the big Lotus supermarket. It is close to where you will see the Makro and the Big C supermarket. When you come from the White Sand beach, you pass the Lotus shop, you will see on the same side of the Lotus supermarket a few restaurants. You have to go and try the very first restaurant once you passed the Lotus supermarket. It is easy to recognize, because there are actually 3 restaurants together and 1 fruit shop. It is in front of the TRAT POOL MART. The restaurant closest to the Lotus. It's called Long Chimp Also the noodle shop right in front of Trat Pool Mart is absolutely insane. They offer the best chicken noodles you will ever eat! 22 years I'm eating noodles in Thailand, never I have eaten such good noodles as this shop. Also give your mom a full experience and visit the Buffet near Kerdmanee. The Buffet is about 279B and another 39B for the drinks. While you are there, go inside Kerdmanee guesthouse. At the entrance, you will see the birds. These birds will talk in Thai and blow your mind. Fun to say hello to them.
Its name in English for man standing is urinal. What a great place the farm was. Koh Chang looks beautiful still very green compared to some areas in Thailand at this time of year.

The owner of the restaurant where your mom drunk the cold coconut is actually a farmer of Durian Fruit. He has a lot of farmland. Durian is a good business in Koh Chang. They export most of it to China or it goes to Bangkok. I know the owner very well. I was there not even one month ago. Sad we just missed each other as I follow your channel already a long time.

Sorry dear Ken,I forgot to add that when you asked that man about picking the coconuts down the palm tree and he told you before they used monkeys, it's totally true.These monkeys are trained by owner to climb up and start throwing down coconuts until told to stop.They still do it in South Asia,although many Men know how to climb the tres themselves. I've seen it very often in Malaysia,both men and using monkeys especially in kampungs.I even painted a picture of a malay family with their monkey up the palm tree grabbing coconuts! I did it when I was living there. I guess this time I will do some more typical paintings as we"re staying longer.Stay safe and make mummy smile...👋👌🥰❤️

Hi Ken. When riding around in the hot sun, dont your arms get sunburned? I find its better to wear longsleeve shirt while riding a motorbike in Asia. 😀
Koh Chang does not have wild elephants. The only ones on the island were brought for tourism. The name of the island cones from its shape, not for its local elephants.
