The second step to gaining thoracic extension | The MSK Physio
Strength is specific. To get strong in a range you have to be able to access it. If you can't get there then you can't strengthen it. Active control of end range thoracic extension is 'smaller' and less obvious to those that 'have' it. If you don't have it then you won't be able to do this exercise! At least, not yet. Take a step back and do ' the first step' from yesterdays post.
Once this exercise feels achievable then we can move onto harder exercises, involving more body parts! This exercise is for anyone who has had head or neck injuries, shoulder, back or ribcage injuries!
