If growing jade plant in a house brought good fortune, then every person who had a jade plant was probably way too rich over a period of time. Every plant that a person can keep will bring good luck. Plants in general are stress relievers and good for our mind and soul. Truth is such bullshit superstitions are spread regarding indoor plants which have made these easy to grow, cheap plants so so expensive in the market. Jade plants used to be Rs 30 for a decent sized plant. Now they are sold for Rs 200-300 everywhere. Which is ridiculous since they're so easy to grow and take care of. I used to buy sansevierias at Rs 30-50, several years ago and now I can actually sell them at Rs 500-4000 per variety, only because people have spread so much of bs rumors. Btw, Jade won't show the red margins unless they're out in the bright sun. Indoors they'll just look green all the time. 20-20-20 NPK isn't good for any succulents grown indoors even in 1/2 or 1/4th strength. They need fertilizer with 11-11-16 or 11-11-13 'slow release' every 3-4 months. 19 or 20 Fertilizers will stretch the succulents (making leaves spread out farther from each other) and plant will look leggy. Almost every crassula is way too simple to take care of.
I repotted a small jade plant, used vermi compost 30% , 4 0% cocopeat and balance soil plus a little perlite. And did nothing else. It's grow very well outside , in my balcony. Now I'll repot.
