There might be scripting in this show but the ranch has always been this strange before the current owner bought it and shoot the episodes.
eventhough i believe what goes on at the ranch might be real, this show is not, in todays episode, they gather at the spot where all batteries die, with the drone guy, who also experiences battery issues. yet there is the cameraman, filming as usual and surprise! no problems with batteries or connection whatsoever....ups, they messed up.....i can already predict the end of the season, well, we have seen a lot of strange things here, but we have no idea or evidence of anything....pure BS television. this is just a show for entertainment only, noting will come out of it, just like all the other bs shows like in search of bigfoot, etc, etc.....always in the brink to find something, to find absolutly nothing at the end...... n

hahaa true though... even in ep 1 where he showed how magnets can glitch camera views...it did not happen with the cameraman's equipment. I'm pretty sure these guys are just actors. The same way EMF readers go haywire in ghost docs but they find a dust speck on camera.
remember, shows which have episodes spanning for weeks have little to nothing to conclude. Shows which fit an entire experiment in one 40-minute documentary will most probably have evidence of something. Because as a scientist, it's much better to deliver concise and most importantly significant findings/conclusions rather than extending it for weeks, especially for a place as curious as Skinwalker Ranch.
Attempted to watch the 1st series on Netflix this week. I skimmed through it all over about a half hour. The producers have truly made these guys look like idiots.

This one(team, show) on the History Channel has a varied and experienced team looking into the mystery. It’s specifically The SECRET of Skinwalker Ranch.
It's awesome that the new owner of the skinwalker ranch is actually opening this place up to be investigated and sharing the knowledge, unlike what Bigelow did keeping everything secret.

There's always going to be a reflection from a beam unless you can get the light absolutely dead center in the forward lens. I'm not sure if I can watch you geniuses.
Laser beams are very bright. The laser light is being reflected off the sensor inside the camera and producing a mirror image back onto the back side of the lens and hence back onto the sensor. This is a very common phenomenon and you can take any camera out at night, take a picture of a bright light off axis to the center of the viewfinder, like a street light, and you will see an opposite spot on your photo. Nothing mysterious here. I don't discount that something is happening on the ranch since I have seen UFO's myself, but this double dot of a laser beam isn't one of them.
After watching the first episode this guy Dragon takes things to the extreme. We got to call everybody this is an emergency! Then he calls the owner saying that somebody's in the hospital and its really bad. Guys got a headache. Bunch of drama queens especially dragon.
When the lead scientist got a headache after looking in the cistern, he found he had absorbed unhealthy amounts of radiation. They are right to be cautious.

This show is too obviously staged and scripted. It would take the best directors and writers to make it believable. Instead it just comes across as phoney trying to pass as real. (Edit) Just finished watching episode 1. Won’t be watching episode 2. How can they try passing this off as a real investigation!!?? The most unnatural delivery of lines I’ve seen in a long time. And the over-dramatising of the whole thing is ridiculous, on a par with those ghost hunting shows

Has any of the scientists delved into the idea of ley lines or vortexes or magnetic lines or anything along this train of thought? I know that Salt Lake City is a HUGE concentration of ley lines and skinwalker ranch itself lies on a key line that crosses out of Salt Lake City. How Ho Ki is this show..? What strikes me most is how they referred to the one guys head problem as an injury, I mean I could see if something struck him in the head, then it would really be an injury... But nothing hit him in the head, he just started to complain that his head hurt in the same spot as before.. A place on his head that had been said that it came on strangely the first time it occurred.. He never was struck by anything, didn't fall and bump his head, all he had said was his head was bothering him.. Nothing strange about that...! I understand that his problem could not be diagnosed, but that does not mean anything super natural going on with his head....!

I believe the ranch but not these people honestly its extremely frustrating that common sense is just dead along with my interest in this. Its not even good background noise just to have on. Their reactions are way overdone.
It's an obvious reflection. You can clearly see how both lights move in tandem when the direction changes. And why assume it's not the batteries because you just changed them. Change them again. My son has a laser just like that one and it's expensive and sophisticated. People who lecture on astronomy use it to point out objects and star formations in the sky. It's no toy store laser. However, the switches break all of the time for the cheap ones I get for my cats. BTW, how scientific is the laser on top of a paint can? What's in the can? Did it stop working when they set it on the can and stopped moving it around?
I hope they are not faking this. I lived in a haunted house and things did not happen every day or night. Edit: The property owner has a lot to lose if this is fake. I do not think he would risk it. I believe that these things are happening to them. It is interesting.

@@CastlesForEyes I was talking about it with my friends, and we decided that the owner, a big time realtor, whose reputation could suffer, has a lot to lose if this is fake. We decided that these things happened, but probably not all of it on the night the history channel was filming. They have gathered true data, but are just showing it in a condensed manner.
It's so bad... strange lights. glowing rocks? ups, laser fails. We will not think why. We will not try to check if it works in another place during day. We will not try to get 2 more for next night. @@billness4790 You make so much sense Bill. I mean, it couldn't simply be a cheap Chinese laser pointer. That was actually designed for 'pointing' during presentations and not meant to be used for any long periods (as it causes damage and drains the battery fast). It was funny that they 'claim' to be 'scientists' (I assume 'pseudo' scientists), but didn't know that they could calculate the split point using the reference points they had :) They were probably just directing the beam through a temperate inversion / heat haze. it wouldn't surprise me, they wouldn't even know what one was *lol*
My gf and I were in the area staying at an Airbnb almost next to the ranch, and one of those nights we tried to get a look at the black gate, when we turned around we were able to pull over almost immediately on the right, as we started to converse with the neighbors, whom let us stay for a moment and take some pictures above the ranch, which I have multiple things I was able to catch above or near the ranch, I have an Audio recording from some footage I really think someone should take a closer look at, amongst the other unexplainable few dozen things I've captured over your ranch. But, I just wanted to see if Kaleb remembers saving a few tourist one late night from some of the locals. Whom where very nice, but one of them wasn't so much. But Kaleb saved our day! He rolled up right when the guy started cursing at us and we felt very uncomfortable. Thank you Kaleb and the million dollar devices listening to us the whole time! Haha we sincerely thank you again Kaleb, I'm hoping you remember us, we took a selfie with you in the middle of the road, it was an amazing time, I believe that part of the region is some sort of portal, I honestly do, my gf and myself have become true believers from what we have experienced there, we have more than one dimension. mike Kalynowski If you watch the full episode, he did. His exact words were “I just replaced the batteries in this laser”. And why would they feel the need to bring an extra laser pointer? They couldn’t have anticipated that the whole thing would just stop working even with new batteries.

I love the tense music stabs and looks of shock on the presenters faces, when 'something' happens. It's all, so pantomime :) I know they are ripping off the style of Finding Bigfoot, but they just don't have any 'stand out' characters like Bobo. I doubt this show will have the staying power of FBF. Although, this show solves one puzzle; Who owns the ranch now, tv execs! ;-)
