Very informative video! Would you recommend this video for a 5 year old? I’m a bit nervous about my daughter navigating the pathways and her in deep water (even though they provide life vests). Thanks!

Hello, thanks for watching. It's hard to say with kids that young. I would have loved it at 5, but some kids would freak out in the dark or deep water. If you are not 100% sure they can handle it I would wait a couple more years. It is totally safe but it is very different surroundings than most people experience every day. I hope this helps. Hey loved the video, my question is how hard do the people enforce the weight limit? It says 250 and I’m 255 do you think that should be fine

Hey Lorenzo, thanks for watching. We went 3 times on this excursion and they never weighed us any of those times so you should be OK. If they change their policy and bring a scale out it could be bad, but I have never seen them do it and never heard of them doing it. I think they have this rule due to the sizes of wet suits available more than anything. You will love this excursion! I have seen some that have a walking stick. Is the terrain hard to maneuver?

Are glasses allowed? Did you feel the lockers were secure? Were you allowed to have a lanyard with your credit card etc in it so you don't have to leave it in the locker? How much did pictures cost? Were the pictures printed or digital?

Hey Eugene 👋, thanks for watching. Glasses were allowed but no jewelry. Pictures were all digital I don't remember how much they cost now. I think the locker had a key then on a band I kept on my wrist. It has been a few years ago (before covid) so things may have changed some since then.

Hi Emily, thanks for watching. During the tour, they turn off all the lights for a few seconds so you can see just how dark that cave is. Hey Caroline 👋 thanks for watching. You will never have to go under water on this excursion. We did this 3 different times and loved it. You will wear a wetsuit over your bathing suit and a life preserver and a helmet with a light.

Hey Akila, thanks for watching. As long as the person has no phobias there should be no issues. The mandatory life vest will keep your head above water. Most of the cave is very shallow and can be walked in.

Yes, we highly recommend this excursion. We have done it 3 times because it was so good. The photos were professionally done in prime locations. We were very pleased.

you mentioned to bring water shoes but the Carnival description says they're provided and it appears in the video everyone has the same shoes, so... are they provided? thank you...

Hey Frank,thanks for watching. I am not 100% sure if they provided the shoes. I know that we took our own. We recommend taking water shoes with you just in case. ( we are about 90 % sure they did have shoes there)

Why do you call this the Secret River of Cozumel when it is not located in Cozumel? It is located on the mainland. This is very deceptive, especially for people looking for things to do on the island, rather than taking hours worth of transportation back off the island.

Hi Ginger, thanks for watching. Cozumel is in the description because it is the cruise port that cruisers will be able to access this excursion. In the video we do describe the 45 minute ferry ride to the mainland and a bus ride to the Secret River from there. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

SO the river is NOT on the island of Cozumel.
