This is perfect pitch and harmony. Unusual to find a diamond in the rough today, yet here they are. No manufacturing of music with these two. Nope, they are pure, simple, and authentic. I always am looking for PSA. We all should.
There are are a hundred artists out there that can sing and play country. It is called Alternative Country and doesn't see the light of day. I'm glad these firls made it in spite of the odds. We just need more of this kinda stuff. Mainstream country has no soul.
Quite SImply BEAUTIFUL! There is people with talenT there is people with taleNT and ther is people with TALENT with a capital 'T' the secret sisters fall into the later catagorie full stop! I am so envious if there is one thing I would love to be able to do and that is sing and sing with confidence
Thank you for this Secret Sisters. It brightens my day and exercises my throat Chakra to warble with u. Now to learn All the LYRICS 😆 u women are so talented. Tx again 🙏 🤲
I LOVE their old time country sound!! I hope to hear more from them and that nobody tries to change their sound. I am so sick of today's country sounding so much like Pop. They sound great and I really love their song, Why Baby Why!
@MuckyGhost Exactly! I hate the attitude some people take (who tend to be living in the past) that there is no one any good in the music industry. Yet these people never decide to delve into the music that is out there in the phenomenal independent scenes and think that whatever the majors throw at them is the sum total of the music out there Thanks largely to changes in technology I genuinely think we are living in the best time there has ever been for music, now anyone can record music.
They choose to record in anolog and that takes true talent. No cover-ups, no autotune, you get what you get. I heard them on the radio today for the first time and I was blown away.
They have beautiful voices. Was hoping to find their version of 'Saying Something Stupid" - They really did a beautiful job with that song. Hope someone will post it. Many thanks.
Didn't know that looks were so important in music. Don't remember Cass Elliot, Janis Joplin, or Bette Midler, just to name a few, being particularly beautiful. There are plenty of female singers today who look great and can't sing a lick.. These two can, for sure..
Amazing talent. It is a breath of fresh air to hear pure, soulful talent delivered. Country music needs more modesty and simplicity. The trademark of America's music was rooted in modesty, purity, honesty, simplicity, harmony, and unique vocal stylings. They aren't just a retro act, they are the real deal. Any true country fan knows instantly when he hears "real" country music. They have it. They know it. They feel it. I pray that the big labels and record execs don't ruin them.
@lavendarkittes I can definitely sympathize, but they didn't write these lyrics. This is a folk song. The lyrics have been passed down for hundreds of years, probably, and they've survived because they have something true to say about a human relationship. It might be a painful kind of love affair, but its also a real one. There have always been women & men who (figuratively) sing this song, & there probably always will be. Putting it into song might help us learn to reflect and move on.
The Secret Sisters are working on a new album with Brandi Carlile as their producer! Support their new project here: www.pledgemusic.com/projects/thesecretsisters
@MrTomtom666 Come on man, of course there are people in the music industry who have talent. I figure that you're lamenting today's manufactured pop stars (who are, despite the massive publicity they recieve, the minority), but really. For every pretty douchebag with no talent, there is a whole network of producers, publicists, songwriters; people who are as deeply talented as they are obscure. This is beautiful, though!
Ok then. And x factor is not my idea of entertainment. I prefer Game of Thrones. And as for the fact that musicians use other peoples music to get famous? I don't really think that's the case here. But whatever, an opinions an opinion.
@peoplepower75 If you don't like it or "crappy, generic, shit music" why bother listening? I'm all for people having opinions and i'm going to have to disagree with yours. And by the way, if more people could sing and harmonize like these women we wouldn't have crappy generic shit music.
