I think alignment is a key for knowing which values are important. If we feel in alignment with the core of who we are, then we will be living according to our values. Our emotions tell us whether we are in alignment with that core or not. By using this guidance system we can live from this space and be in alignment with who we really are. My mother is a CPA and my step dad is one also... they wanted me to go into business but i wanted to go into graphic design. I chose design, and I can honestly say it was a great decision, and my mother still wonders how I can make money in an industry that she doesn't understand. Now after being a creative for 13 years, I'm getting curious about starting my own business. And if I do... I'll ironically be looking at studying business. But this time it's on my terms! It seemed to be the same for Teal with her suicide attempt, and it was like that to me to a big degree with my suicide attempt. I became more aware of what's important in life. For some reason though, I had to go through stuff and have my core values change, or find my real values, before arriving here where I act upon what I perceive those values to be. We all need to figure what we really want from life. Life keeps throwing us better and better opportunities to learn that until we do.

If you look at society - especially listening to all those songs/music after you have woken up, you realise how much we are subconsciously 'trained' to 'rely' on something outside of ourselves for our own happiness - which is of course ego - alignment is key and is eternal as we are only ever 'keeping up' with our inner/higher being. Acceptance of this as a neverending unfolding and being happy in the processing of this is bliss.

She took the words right out of my mouth --- CONNECTION is one of my biggest values. For years I've been yearning to find a man who won't choose another woman over me and be fully present in our relationship. For years I've bent backwards trying to find what I'm looking for in a partner. I've always prioritized finding the right guy and falling in love over everything! EVEN MONEY! My in town psychic thinks my desire of love is a desire of love and acceptance from the self, but I have to work on self discovery and self creation before any of that love stuff. However, I believe I KNOW WHO I AM. But spirituality keeps telling me I'm not who I believe I am!

Thank you so much for this. I was once someone committed to an exciting and creative career. I gave it all up to look after my autistic son. Still doing it 27 years on... I have felt all along that I was being confined to a very small cage and imprisoned in a narrow life I didn't even begin to recognise. The guilt at even resenting such a life, instead of embracing it joyfully and selflessly, has been immense. I have turned to and explored various spiritual paths to make the unacceptable more palatable. However, anesthesia is not a cure. So now, I know. I haven't lived according to my values and passions and I have paid a heavy price physically and emotionally for it. It wasn't and still isn't a case of abandoning my son, but I now see that there are options available to me to regain freedom and authenticity. Thank you for a thought-provoking, no BS message 🙏

Brilliant! Thank you Teal! I been rather feeling low since quite a while. It’s not that I been living against my core values, but thinking they are not acceptable, but selfish to the world. Listening to many talks of yours this week, I realize it’s an old parental childhood program running within me, judging my inner values, as bad, lazy, unproductive, selfish, wasteful. But listening to your words, I realize, this inner programming going against my values, is all that stands against my joy and happiness! Healing my childhood wounds and personal growth is my first priority and I trust once I reach the standard and time, the universe sees me ready, I like to give my experience back in whatever form that may take. [More yammer] It may appear on surface like I am working too much as well, but it is related to a specific goal prioritized according to my true values. I am making fantasstic progress. ---- THINGS I AM PROUD OF --- (1) I am proud of Teal for overcoming her childhood. l am proud of her for her strength in forging her own positive path. It may seem odd that I am "proud" for another person, but I feel pride in seeing her spirit strive strongly to be true to itself - while being highly sensitive and psychic which surely makes things much more challenging. (2) There are many things others might think I would be proud of about myself (because I am multi-awesome, powerful, and loving - like Teal) - but I don't really feel a lot of pride over many things. I feel good about overcoming ADD. I feel good about being a non-judgmental being and rather decent guy. I feel some pride over maintaining super-high health. One of the (strange) things I am most proud of (or elated about) - is that I somehow managed to follow my intuition enough (while being ASLEEP from teens to 40s) to NEVER VOTE in an election. *I am extremely proud and elated to have avoided this sad Earth program!* ----------------------------------- Yes, I know Teal was talking about pride in a slightly different context more appropriate to deciphering one's true values.. but this is a YT comment, so I can really say whatever the heck I want here. :) PEACE ;)

In essence, your idea sounds great. If a person is disabled then life becomes a different set of rules. Then to if a person has the choice of self sacrifice for awhile or turning their back to fulfill themselves, I know which one I'll pick. It really does the soul good to put a loved one before oneself. Knowing the outcome will become positive for them. There's just something about being selfless for someone else that causes a persons spiritual growth.

Basically the secret to a happy life is to know what you want and get it. But we subconsciously do these things and constantly struggle with actually finding out what it is in some cases, (often I know what I want) and trying to find a way to get there and do it. And for me some of the values I want to live for e.g being with the right someone for a relationship are not even in our control - there's only so much you can do when it involves someone else, and my experience is people deceive with their values to achieve their true values. No lesson even comes of it, just a motion because sometimes you can't foresee deceit you just have to be on the end of it when it happens. Life is life, constant struggle to achieve these things, and there's no guaranteed way to get there. Nothing to do but keep trying hoping you'll get there.

Thank you, Teal! This video really helped me today. I didn’t know why my wheels are spinning and things with work feel on pause. This was helpful to connect me back to my True North. She really seems that she had a bad childhood and teen years (as she refers to suicide), that's why she became a strong spiritual master. She shifted the pain and made it into blessing. Thank you Teal for your videos🙏✨

Thank you for this Teal!! My BF & I are trying to live our lives according to our values, but sometimes we feel forced to sacrifice our values NOW, so we can live that way in the FUTURE. We are looking for simplicity & freedom, but feel like society is shoving the life we don't want onto our laps to keep us from achieving our dreams. I work many little jobs, but i love every one. I have few people in my life, but the ones that are here with me share my values & enhance my life experience. Over the years I have only moved forward, & grown tremendously, along with let go of an immense amount. Am I being impatient? or Am i doing something wrong. I'm trying to teach my BF to appreciate where you are & what you have now, so the universe can give you more of what you want in the future, is that correct? Is there something to do here, or just keep on doing what i'm doing? I can give more details of the situation, if anyone is interested in helping me out :) Thank you Teal for all you videos, I come to your Channel or Infinite Waters when i have questions. Thanks for being here when i need it.

Beautiful video! I knew the importance of the values but I didn't realize such a deep meaning and purpose. Also I would suggest to write down the top 10 and read them out loud every day, morning and evening like a routine, so you don't forget. In the contex of a personal mission statement document they are great.

I know that's why you get attacked, because I do too for the same reason - being true to yourself and strong TO THE CORE. Both women and men will attack you because it's one of the most threatening things to them.
