If you want to start off strong you have to make an enticing, memorable and attractive TUTOR PUBLIC PROFILE. Most if not all ESL companies require their teachers to come up with a self-introduction may it be in writing or in video/audio form.

Thank you! I applied after watching one of your videos that discussed which ESL companies you highly recommend. Yes, those involve different approvals, so better to have your video approved before hand. You can't teach if that isn't approved.

Yes you can! Just go to the ACCOUNT TAB and click "open video recorder" or "upload pre-recorded video" (just scroll down)

Good day, I have been watching all of your videos and it has helped with my application process. Thank you. I have a question regarding my self-introduction. I recently completed my demo lesson and the native camp instructor told me that I passed and I should do my self-introduction and he will send me the script. How do I go about doing that? As my application process is taking me back to the Demo Lesson stage and it still says Retake even though the Native Camp instructor told me I passed. Do I have to retake the demo and do the introduction in the demo lesson? Your assistance is greatly appreciated

Unfortunately there's a possibility that you did not pass the final evaluation with the Japanese admins that's why it says for retake

You may use a mobile phone provided the quality is not poor. I suggest making sure you have good lighting (use the sunlight too hehe) and good recording environment

Nope, do not say anything that may be used to your disadvantage. :) sell your self :) just say the good things about you that will help you have more students. When I was a new teacher, I never disclosed I was new :)

Yes you can! You account can also be activated but I discourage taking classes without a bank account... this is to prevent problems with pay

Unfortunately I don't. But if I may suggest, since you do not have experience, focus more on your personality traits and what you can offer to the students. No need to mention that you don't have experience or youre a fresh grad

Hello, teacher Karen. There's a part in the self-introduction where it has to be in a third person perspective. It was also stated that it has to be "different" from the first person perspective intro. I was wondering how "different" should it be. Am I supposed to create a completely different one or just do paraphrases and change pronouns?

Pretty much the same as students have different personalities, You cant say that Chinese students are rude or vice versa. Though in my experience there are LESS rude students from Taiwan and Japan.

You have to record using a green screen on your background and have an editing software to put the background. The easier way is to record a video using ZOOM.

Hello Jerake, usually we are asked to keep it to 20mb file, 1 minute only :) it has to be straightforward yet lively and genuine. Though, some companies, like Engoo, want it simple with no effects and music.

teach, pwede po gawa ka ng tutorial kung paano ka mag edit ng video and kung paano mo ginawa yung sa self introduction vid mo teach?😃 ask ko rin teach kung anong gamit mo na app sa pang background mo sa self intro mo teach yung parang nasa classroom ka😁 zoom po ba teach gamit mo nung nag video ka sa self intro gamit yung background na classroom?

Sige teach, siguro kapag mas madami na nagrerequest. Imovie kasi gamit ko mejo techny na siya ituro kasi many of my viewers are windows users din. I am just using a green screen tapos pinapalitan ko lang ang background. And yes, pwedeng diskarte yung green screen sa Zoom :) tapos edit mo nalang after recording.

Unfortunately we do not have the option to refuse advanced classes. There will always be instances when you get to encounter proficient students.

Teacha Karen ok lang ba maglagay ng pictures sa vid intro Tulad ng pictures mo sa classin with a student? Yung nice moments mo with students in acadsoc? Ok Lang ba sa native camp?

Ay no po, kasi bawal po magshare ng pics ng ibang students baka po magkalawsuit lalo kung bata. Pictures lang sana na wala yung previous students mo :) or pictures mo while teaching :)

Imovie po sa Macbook. Sa Windows laptop, meron pong Windows movie maker. You can also use a web- based editor like Canva, Befunky etc Sa smartphone naman meron Kinemaster. Ok din yun :)
