i am now determined to refinish my antiques myself. intimidated. i have oil painted since i was seven, so this medium is somewhat similar, but still, experience is the best technique. i will do all with love. must eatch and rewatch your videos. i live yourbaedthetic, and soulful sensibilitis.
You have great thoughts, I really enjoy your work and videos. 300year old piece. Wow ! Do you come across them very often? Just think, if the piece is 300 years oldl and its made from really wide boards, that were milled from a very large tree, how old was that tree when it was cut down? Old growth, 200 years maybe? Wow that wood deserves some love ( and oil ).
Nice video and I love your work. Any suggestions of where to get Meths? We have a large collection of Antiques in NOLA and I like to revive some of the pieces as well as rebuild a Louisiana cypress Armoire with a nice French Polish.
Second thing. I have untreated light oak window cills and there are several water marks which are quite deep. Wire wool is ineffective. Have you any ideas that I can try please?
