The two settings I changed that helped me feel comfortable in this game. 1. Upped my ADS sense. Played on .80 in MW3. Playing at .90 in BO6 2. Switched my crosshairs to static. My first shots were night and day when I switched to static.
Definitely some good settings in this video that I didn’t think to change even after watching other content creators. I’ll give them a try. Thanks Lachy.
Great video Lachy. I actually already used the aiming slope scale at 0.75 already paired with Dynamic response curve towards the end of MW3. I went from a 0.87KD to a 1.2KD almost instantly. Not that impressive in absolute numbers I know, but as a percentage improvement in gunfights won its huge! I implemented pretty much everything in this video last night on Black Ops 6 and I can honestly say I was frying, never felt more accurate in any COD game and had a comfortably positive KD in every match I played which again, not that impressive in general but for me as an average player, I was very happy and its all down to these settings. Loving all the content and can't wait for the Warzone integration.
These were some great suggestions! Most of these I’ve already had enabled in the past but had completely forgotten about in B06. After making these changes the game feels so much better! Great video
I set my settings in the Training Area. Then, i fine tuned my settings over the course of playing the Campaign. By the time i hit Multiplayer, i was diving around corners like a natural.
Great video. I’m a 3kd sweat already using almost these exact settings but I learned 1-2 new things to try like lowering right stick deadzone to 85. In theory I can see how this can be useful especially for multiplayer where snappiness is most important
VIDEO SUGGESTION Cover how/if sensitivity/ADS sense can be adjusted to compensate for the nerfed aim assist at close range. I have like 20k hours in warzone and am a top 0.1% player by all stats. I realize sense is slower in this game. I was a 8-8 player and I’m now on 10-10 with ads multiplier at 0.85. When an enemy crosses my screen at a high speed and within the ~3m threshold where we get no AA it’s like I can’t even turn fast enough to continue tracking them. I’m a mega sweat so I’ve never really had issues tracking people trying to break my camera. Aim assist slows down your aim so logically with no AA I should be able to spin faster than previous cods and if anything I should be over correcting my aim like an MnK player. But even on 10-10 I’m routinely feeling like I can’t even track fast enough to stay on someone trying to break my camera. I’m wondering if in the old titles in instances where someone was breaking your camera, the rotational AA actually accelerates or stacks onto your own stick input effectively making it faster instead of slower which would explain why I feel like I can’t track fast enough. I’m wondering if we can mitigate this issue by adjusting sensitivity settings. My aim and sense feels perfect everywhere except in those close range instances where someone tries to break your camera.
I know you don’t need advice from me but I read your whole comment. Usually if it’s a close range battle and someone’s trying to break my ankles I won’t aim I’ll just hip fire, sometimes instinctually I’ll half aim to be on target and then hip fire.
I adjusted some of my setting to these and then tweaked them down a bit, I have found it a bit more fluent in a private game v bots, need to go live to see what they can really do.
I’m going to try this setup. I got a new controller. Never played on a controller in COD. I like how much more comfortable it is sitting at my PC. I do a lot better on Mouse as far as accuracy and movement but controller is nice to have when I want to relax my arms. I’m having a hard time at long range and staying on target while ADS and firing at the same time.
The movement feels really off. Sprint/tac sprint seems really inconsistent. My operator sometimes feels like he’s moving through treacle. First CoD game that I’m struggling settings wise.
If you are on PC and have campaign installed, make sure to turn off AMD Frame Generation (in Campaign). If you don't, you'll get Frame Gen ON for MP, which is awful.
i think people are upset because there aren’t settings that completely change your accuracy and movement speed like last year. i really like how this game forces people to work on their aim rather than change to an auto aim through settings. people crying about settings are lowkey just getting exposed tbh. aim assist last year was CRAZY sticky and this year it’s not like that this year. however this is great for fixing the clunkiness but just know there is no way to auto snap generally. get your skill up.
Hi Lachy! Great video! One area I'd love you to cover is to learn how to quick scope with a sniper rifle. I know I could never be as good as you or Stodeh, but some tips and practice tips woud be great. Thanks and keep up the great streaming!
As a fifty seven year old, who should know better, I just wanted to say thank you for these settings! I may not be the fastest mover on the game, but my tag features higher up on the leader board, than it did before implementing them. For me, that’s great 👍 Many thanks
On the sprint assist, for those who want to stick on auto tac sprint. Play around on the delay and don't just set it to zero cuz of sprint to fire delay of tac sprint vs regular running. I noticed that even with slight move forward when I'm moving to head glitches or corners the reaction to sprint to fire gets me killed more than I anticipated. Set it where you feel like it's activating fast enough but not instant. It benefits you more than you think cuz of how map designs and time to engagement this game have.
This may be a bit long, but you asked. My problem is highly aggressive/mobile opponents that break my aim in CQB. My setup is PS5 with a 27 inch 1440p monitor, running the game at 120hz. My FoV is 108. I play on a Dualsense Edge. For MW3 I used the standard curve with sensitivity at 16 H/12 V. For BO6 I'm trying dynamic curve with 20 H/15V. My ADS sensitivity is currently at 0.5 but I've experimented with as high as 0.75 and as low as 0.25 over time. If the multipliers work as expected, then my horizontal ADS sensitivity (20 x 0.5 = 10) should be slightly higher than the upper limit of your proposed value (12 x 0.8 = 9.6) and yet I still feel like I'm too slow to rotate. Imagine a clock face, and my aim starts at 12 o'clock. If an enemy appears at 10 or 11 or even 12 and tries to tac-sprint around me clockwise while really close (3m away or less) then I can probably track them and blast them. However, if they start at 1 or 2 o'clock then I often feel like I can't get the reticle to catch up to them. I slam the stick to the side but my reticle trails behind them and I get knifed. I really don't want to try to raise my sensitivity any higher because my precision is already suffering after about 25m, but I still feel too slow at point blank, and that makes for frustrating deaths. I'm curious to see if you have any suggestions to improve aim speed, or otherwise to shut down ultra mobile opponents that are trying to break my aim.
Great Vid. Shared it with my son who’s been getting frustrated with MP. I suck and I realize it so I don’t get frustrated, but making the game more fun because I’m killing a few more per match would be nice.
Lachy, try playing on Mouse and keyboard, then get back to me about the best snake oil settings for Blackops 6. I'd actually really love your take on this.
Prior to this video. My movement felt floating and motion felt completely off when trying to lock on target with my aim. I was doing ok but felt something wasn’t right. These settings have really helped Lachy thanks very much for this video. I also noticed fov scaling was on so I have turned this off too. The actual motion setting was off but within those settings fov scaling was on so turned that off too. Not sure whether I should’ve or not but I’ve seen a huge improvement to overall game play and aiming thanks a lot. Ps any advice on the fov scaling bit would be useful.
Good insightful video though I do have a question. Why do you have your L2/R2 button deadzone on 10 for each 1, everyone else say to have it on 0, well majority do
I’m pretty sure I’m in the minority when it comes to ads multiplier mine is at .40 way lower then any body I’ve seen ever. Anyone else that low? I’ve played this low for years now. I over correct and miss my shots if it’s at the “normal” setting any higher
I would rock between .80-.90 and slowly lower the slope scale until you can quickly center. Higher ADS sense is super useful in this game tracking the jerky movement lol
I hate playing Warzone COD on a PC so I bought PS5 Slim just to play this game. The keyboard Mouse feels very very responsive and comfortable to begin with. I can win from time to time with those Controller players. Why no one is covering KBM on PS5? Aim Assisters having hard time to face the reality of skill issue?
These settings work, I was playing 7,7 for sense and am now at 12 12 with these settings and it feels similar when ADS but so much snappier in general movement
Hi, I have a question. The icon is very bright and and sometimes missing other players when they are near the icon how can we lower the icon brightness I have tried everything
Does anyone run with their knife out, or try to get kills with it. When you get shot while your knife is out, when you start to take damage, it stuns you when getting shot. It was like this in the beta too.
Haven't really noticed it, but tbh I only switch to a knife if I'm actually trying to close the distance and knife somebody real quick. And yes, sometimes that ends up being a chain of 5-6 knife kills in quick succession around half the map, but usually when people start shooting me I die instantly - there's no stunning involved.
I’m not even kidding when I say this I am sick to fucking death of the game purposely putting me in lobbies where I can’t get a kill. As much as I’d love to like the game the skill based matchmaking is making it less enjoyable
You must've done well in past games to end up in such lobbies, though. And I'm not saying it's fair, it just doesn't happen on its own. I've been playing the game for 5 days now and on Day 2 I used to think the lobbies were really rough and SBMM was absolute garbage. Now on Day 5 I'm dreaming about those "Day 2" lobbies, cause they were a joke in comparison to what I have to deal with today. And it's only gonna get worse. Unless I literally have negative KD in every match I play, which...I'm not there yet, it's kinda getting there, but not that close. Not anytime soon. But my point is if you're struggling THAT much you'll eventually get knocked down in easier lobbies, just don't worry about your KD or w/e and you'll have fun.
Lmao you must need someone to engage with you so you post nonsense. Okay, you win. Here you go. How’s your day going? Everything okay? What did you have for breakfast? See any good movies lately? Next time just ask to talk lol
Watching art is war video on the pay to win audio explained that it is basically snake oil all they do is charge u 20 bucks and have u DL an app that allows you to use your phones forward, facing camera to get video of your head shaped and your ears and that’s it somehow that’s supposed to give you better audio! 😂😂😂
Tweak your audio settings, get better headphones or something. Maybe even use some software EQ to get better footstep audio (I think that's permitted, not sure, I don't use those). But like somebody else mentioned the pay-to-win audio is just snake oil, to get your face scanned. It's not even about the money - $20 for FIVE years is nothing ($4 PER YEAR), even if 10% of the community decided to subscribe to that audio bs thing. It's literally a waste of money, though.
Not saying you're wrong but you repeatedly talked about misinformation and snake oil yet you never showed tests explaining why your settings were superior to the default.
I mean in his defense, a lot of this is just the standard settings for Warzone so it’s necessarily new info. The biggest thing is how to get use to new Omni-Movement & that sprint delay is really key
@@dwaynestocks6604 I tried out these settings just now, combined with super high FOV and independent ADS field of view and found it super, super good. The zoom you get from independent makes it easier to take longer ranged fights too. So thumbs up from me after trying it out in game. Also the assisted sprint option is actually useful with omnimovement so you don't have to click in constantly in every direction if you want to slide that way. I initially thought it would be bad having assisted sprint because of sprint to fire time but actually it feels close to just ADSing normally so I rate it.
He substituted showing tests explaining it and just went straight to explaining it. I think his point is just try it and verify. But yeah, I totally get what you’re saying and your entire point is valid.
@@imcracked4045 in the bios of your motherboard. Update the bios first. Then enable xmp/docp/expo and disable sam/rebar. Antilag is in adrenaline. Also update windows.
@@imcracked4045 For AMD it's only in the BIOS settings. And yes, disabling REBAR will make your game feel much better, but your FPS will be a little bit lower. Hopefully your FPS is already high enough for this to not matter.
If that was the case my friend group would be beaming people constantly. I’d say it does 20% of the work for us and another 20% for the good controller players that understand how to maximize aim assist. I have a friend that plays M&K and doesn’t complain about other inputs at all. He should be studied. M & K players are the Karen’s of COD.
@@nicholasgangwer4895 Your friend must be trash. I don't know them, of course. And feel free to completely ignore my train of thought, but yes - MnK and controller users can laser you instantly, regardless of the input method, if you give them an easy target. However where controllers get a massive advantage is reaction times - they don't need to have reaction times when someone switches direction, because of Rotational Aim Assist. And THAT right there is the entirety of high level gunfights - strafing and movement. So if your friend isn't bothered by the fact that controller players just laser you regardless of your movement, while you need to be damn near perfect to react as fast as possible to their strafing (and miss as little as possible) tells me your friend's trash. Not a dig or a hateful comment, just my personal observation of what your statement implies.
Aim assist is so strong its like youre playing a wii assisted version of the game. Its a joke. If you are on a controller, this game will make you really bad at other FPS shooters that dont baby your inability to aim
First off, your just limiting dead zones first off to make the controller react quicker by shortening travel, ads sens multiplier has been a thing since the dawn of time, so has dynamic curve. Adding to the snake oil. Nice 🔥
Not a single content creator has mentioned slope scale and right stick deadzone max. You’re forgetting that settings are subjective. This is an honest approach to a settings video imo.
when i hear the words "Sticky Aim" as a gamer for over 25 years i hear aim bot... the fact that this has become common place shows just how horrendous the gaming community has become.
Aim assist in the gun range is completely different than in-game where it hardly exists. I have over 200 warzone wins and play on a 4-3 sense in BO6 so definitely do not play on 12-12 which is only for hackers. Linear aim is better than Dynamic once you get your sense and deadzones locked in as there's no algorithm manipulating your inputs.
