@harry- love these strong grip videos. Best at explaining the match ups needed to play a Strong grip. Are there any takeaway or backswing patterns that work better for strong grip players?

Thanks Alex! I haven't really thought about the backswing side of it in the videos but great shout, it would be how you set the wrist on the way back 9so the club face is in control and. not too closed.

Excellent video Harry on playing golf with a strong grip! After playing his game for almost 70 years, I don't think I want to go the "strong grip" route! I'll stay with my standard interlock grip and work more with the folding and unfolding of the right arm with your recommended body rotation while holding my Y angle. As Always, Well Done Harry!

Thank you John, is there anything else you’d like to see me cover on the channel?

@@harryshawgolf I don't know if you cover bunker shots! My problem is, on occasion, I take too shallow of a backswing and the ball comes out in a low trajectory, hitting the upper lip of the bunker and kicking back into the bunker. Any suggestions?

Interesting, I can have a look at this for you on Skillest and give you some personalised feedback because this could be because of a number of faults.

Hey Harry, is showing 2 1/2 knuckles on left hand grip considered standard? 3 may be strong?
@harryshawgolf
@harryshawgolf Месяц назад
Yes 2 to 2 and a half knuckles is considered as neutral and anything past that 3 is ok but 4 upwards is “strong”.

yeah i've tried it all over the years and the strong grip is what makes life easier for me tbh.

It's good you've found something that works great for you. Have you looked at the driver version yet? I uploaded this yesterday.

Incidentally, I found your video when I was working on exactly the same concept. I originally learned about strong grip from Johnny Miller (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-avt9kDIut24.html ) . So the key question is, can you have strong grip and still release the club later !
@harryshawgolf
@harryshawgolf Месяц назад
Release the club later yes, because you'll be promoting more shaft lean that influences a more open face as mentioned in the video. Great to hear you're working on this concept and thanks for commenting. Driver edition coming out today!

I play a strong left hand three knuckles showing, and a neutral right hand

Interesting, and how does this work for controlling the ball flight, do you tend to draw the ball or fade the ball?
