I buy stocks for different reasons. Some to hold onto forever. Others for a quick profit. Others for options tradin. Mostly though, I look for dividend income because that's my retirement goal paired with my rental properties.

You kids are lucky to get this information for free. When I started trading about 8 years ago there weren't videos like this on the internet. Only gurus charging thousands of dollars for courses that weren't half as good or clear as this.

I've been studying and trading the market for over 5 years - and struggling most of the time. There was a time that I thought there were 3 steps to being successful - 1st learn what everyone else is learning, 2nd apply it, 3rd relearn how the market uses what we've learned against us. Now I realize that the 2nd phase was the most important and I simply needed to keep at it in order to truly understand it all. Your videos have been a great help - Thank You!!

I personally can't keep up reading the tape b/c the time & sales move too fast for me. But after 3y of learning price action by carefully observing candlestick formations and incorporating that w/ S&R + chart patterns have made me a profitable trader.

Using your META example, this another way of explaining absorption. ie. A big seller absorbing all the buy market orders hence the price is not going up despite the increase volume.

Umar, what do you think of the "advanced volume bars" that you can get for TOS in which each volume bar comes in in both red & green so at a glance you know precise percentage of support / resistance ~ supply / demand ~ buy / sell orders flowing into whatever volume bar is being created in the immediacy of the moment? I love them. It was as if a window into the immediate future opened up for me.
